So we have a new band-lationship. A junior oboe/alto sax player and a freshman percussionist/guitarist. Awww, it's so cute. Even though the most I've seen them do is give each other kind of a half hug right after she asked him out (she did it right after band yesterday... finally... after saying she was gonna for a week xp ). She has good timing, too - we're going on a field trip today, so they can sit together on the bus and whatnot. xd I'm gonna tease them SO much. The oboe player is one of my really good friends... and I've just been picking on the percussionist since the beginning of the year, since freshman are funny to pick on, especially the guys.

Do I truly belong to the only band where there aren't a ton of band couples? (but we only have about sixty people, me thinks.) sweatdrop

Kai-Luin Do I truly belong to the only band where there aren't a ton of band couples? (but we only have about sixty people, me thinks.) sweatdrop Actually, our band only has two that I can think of off the top of my head. There may be couples in the other band, but I don't know very many people in there, so... yeah. Our number is hovering right around 65-ish people. Our band is gossip-starved - yesterday, when word got out about the new band-lationship (I was the only one that knew up until it got out), it got around the room in about a minute and a half TOPS. If that. It was hilarious... even the BD's fiancee (who had chaperoned the field trip we took earlier that day) knew about it. It'll be the talk of the band for the rest of the week... and then everyone'll kind of forget about it and just make comments every once in a while. That's how it always works. XD

Well I would not call it a band- lationship. I have a stalker though and he is in band too. But the wired thing is is that last year I was in synphnic band (I know it sucks) But he was a year older than me so I did not know what band he was in. (I did not know anything about him hence the name stalker :wink) Then after a while I found out he wa in concert! With my grade so he must have sucked. Anyway I am a trombone and he was too and anyway at UIL he just came up to me (the first time I had ever seen him eek ) and asked me out!!!! Right there, for all to see at UIL!!!! And then I couldn't say anything and I was with my friends and so one of my friends ran away and I just ran after her!!!! Then he did it again in the BAND HALL!!!! It was so embarassing!!! stressed gonk So I would not call it aa band- lationship because I never said yes but it sorta counts everyone knew aboutit after that!! redface

Trumpets seem to go out with anything. Am I right? sweatdrop And I've seen more than one flute/percussion combination. A pattern with anyone else? (these are also examples from outside of my own school xp as we have tragically few band-lationships)

(these are also examples from outside of my own school xp as we have tragically few band-lationships) I don't think I've EVER seen a flute/percussion... no, wait. There are two juniors at my school that have been dating since the eighth grade, back when they were both in band, and the girl played flute and the guy was a percussionist. He was damn good at quads/timpani too. But they've both quit since then.

(these are also examples from outside of my own school xp as we have tragically few band-lationships) Hell yeah. My friend (flute) went out with a percussionist for a while, then they broke up (she dumped him), went back together, and broke up again (he dumped her). And I -a flute player- had a crush on that exact same percussionist while they were dating (I didn't try anything, though). As well, the male percussionist in my band now is actually really hot and a sweet guy, but my other friend (a bass clarinet player) has a major crush on him, so I'm not trying anything. As for other band-lashionships, there was a clarinet player who went out with a tuba/guitarist last year, but they broke up quickly. This year there are none that I know of, but there are only five guys in the band compared to the eleven girls. ...But there are two very hot guys in the grade 9 band. A sax player and a clarinet player. Still, looks aren't everything. sweatdrop
