1: Name: Shin Oni (real name is Greg but just stick with Shin) 2:Level: Introductory. 3:Contact: Gaia pm which would probably lead into IM talk (either MSN or AIM) 4:Availability: I'm pretty much free all day until about 6 EST on the Weekday. (3 for the Pacific coasters) Completely free on the weekends unless i'm not free.
I don't know much but i've been willing to learn for years. With a lack of money for actual classes and no actual friends who are fluent in the language, i've struggled in trying to find ways to learn. Rosetta stone is a miss last I tried and I have Genki 1: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese 1 which i've had a little more success in learning a small bit of the basics. But because It's a actual workbook, I see it's pretty hard to sit down and do it alone. Send me a PM on Gaia and we can work something out from there.

Hiya, my name is Heath and I'm 19 years old. I'mcurrently at the introductory/beginner's stage of learning Japanese and would love to have a tutor. I can learn through Gaia, email, and MSN. I'm usually online between 10am and 11pm English time, or around 5am ro 6pm American time. Thanks in advance! x

1. Your name ~Randall :]
2. To declare what your level of Japanese is (introductory, beginner, intermediate, advance) ~Very introductory.
3. Your preferred means of communication (gaia messages/email/messenger of choice) ~All of them, or anything else you can think of. I prolly will be on messenger more than any of those. I also have a cell phone with a good amount of minutes, if that helps, though I think texting will prolly be better (I have unlimited texts). I can be reached at all times of the day via text.
4. Maybe even the hours you are usually online (try to adjust them to Pacific Standard Time, just to make it easier) so you can get paired up with someone who will actually be online the same time as you. ~Weekends, I'm on all the time. Weekdays, I'm on from 4 PM to 10 PM, PST (which is my time, by the way).

1. Your name: Hai! I'm Wren Elisabeth, but you can just call me Wren. c:
2. To declare what your level of Japanese is (introductory, beginner, intermediate, advance): Oh, dear. I suppose my level would be beginner - or possibly even introductory. I took two years of Japanese at my junior high school, so I know all the katakana/hiragana, but I still need to learn kanji. > 3 >
3. Your preferred means of communication (gaia messages/email/messenger of choice): Well, let's see here... I never check my email, and I'm hardly ever on IM. I think Gaia messages are best, quite honestly. If you want, we can text, since I have unlimited texting, but that would be rather tedious and inconvenient for conveying large amounts of information, don't you think? Texting should be used only for much smaller, more condensed lessons, or just everyday conversations that we could have in Japanese (if you'd like). (:
4. Maybe even the hours you are usually online (try to adjust them to Pacific Standard Time, just to make it easier) so you can get paired up with someone who will actually be online the same time as you: Anou... I'm online at really random intervals, so I can't accurately say when I'll be online.

Arigatou! I hope you consider me! <3

1. Rebecca 2. Oh I don't know, beginner-intermediate? I can read some kanji, and my vocab and grammar are sketchy, but there. 3. AIM, MSN, or yahoo. I have skype too, but I don't like it much, and email or gaia are okay too, if I have to. 4. Usually 3:30-11 PST on a weekday if I don't have anything else to do, and if I do it's the same but with a period in the middle where I'm gone. Weekends vary. A lot.

2. I am a begginner. I have 5 Japanese learning books I use on my own for writing kanji (kunyomi and onyomi), learning to speak through audio tapes and a work book and I have two dictionarys i carry with me at all times. I am bad at sentence structure, I often mix up the positin of the verb and subject. I want to speak practically, so slang and business or formal (we call it speaking proper in the south) would be what im looking to learn and practice.
Books I use to Study: Teach your self: Begginer's Japanese Script (2009) Teach you self: Beginner's Japanese w/ Complete Audio Program (2009) Langenscheidt Pocket Japanese Dictionary Random House Webster's Pocket Japanese Dictionary (1996) Colloquial Japanese: The Complete Course For beginner's

My name is Emily, aka Rencey. I'm at the introductury level of Japanese, but once I am pointed in the right direction, I will learn quickly. I am usually on from 3-6 PM pacific time, being a sophmore in high scool. I'm open to communicating and learning in whatever way is convienent to my sensei; I mostly need help in understanding the rules and some lessons in how to read and write in Japanese. Once I have that down, my learning process will be much more self-directed, although it would help to know I have someone I can go to with questions. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! biggrin
