He gave the ground below him a few solid stomps, and the hollow sound that followed confirmed his suspicions.
"Just as I thought."

He chuckled lightly at her question
"No, I merely flew down here to investigate. It's definetaly a strange cave, isn't it?"

"No no, Its a tunnel not a cave."
Ending said, looking up at the hole they came in from.
"Caves are more windy"

He chuckled lightly, nodding his affirmation of her keen senses.
"You are correct, a tunnel it is...now the real question: where does it lead?"

"A well?"
Ending guessed, poking the ground.
"Ohs! I knowingly know! How about I blow it up?"
She suggested, making a number of explosives appear around her.

He moved quickly to diffuse the situation
"If it is a well, it might be best not to set off any explosives that might cause flooding. I think our only option is to follow the tunnel and see where it might lead us."

Suddenly the island began to vibrate violently again as the ground opened uo beneath Raziel and Ending like some sort of hatch, dropping them downwards and closing moments after.
They fell into a large spacious room of some sort with a number of boxes and shelving of some sort. Below them was hundreds of pounds of dirt, possibly what had been in the hole previously.
In big lettering on one of the walls was the marking 'Bay 7' Its meaning unknown.

Ending laughed as the ground fell beneath her feet and lowered her weight to almost nothing as she watched the ground rapidly close in.

As the ground below fell open beneath them, his wings materialized and fluttered open as he lowered himself down to the ground below them. Ending managed to keep herself afloat in her own way, and so that gave him time to examine their new surroundings.
At first he thought it might be a storage area, with the boxes and shelving arranged in such a way to give that impression. But after spotting the markings on a nearby wall, he began to suspect that it was much more than that.
"Now I wonder what Bay 7 was used for..."

Ending laughed, making little dirt angels in the soil beneath her before getting up and pocketing all her bombsies. Looking up at the marking on the wall, Ending laughed.
"Storage bay seven!" she exclaimed before skipping down the little dirt mound to one of the boxes.
"I wonder if its for me" She said as she stuck a tack sized explosives along the sides of the crate and set them off, destroying the seal so she could open it.

Once the box was opened a sort of dry ice mist flooded out of it for a minute. Suddenly without warning, a creature climbed out of it.
It had the basic body of a pine tree but a large maw on its trunk frming a perfect circle of jagged sharp teeth. If that was not bad enough a series of tentacles withdrew from its base as it began growing in size and advancing on Ending.

In a flash almost imperceptible to human eyes, Raziel was between the monster and Ending.
"Step back, assault the creature from a distance. I'll hold it off here."
He drew his blade, the sacred Eternal Flame, in time to lop off an invading tentacle that came within inches of his head. Then, as the blue flames engulfed his sword, the creature seemed afraid and held back momentarily.
"Creature's like you shouldn't play with fire."
