::she had stared when he chanted and tried, amazed, to touch the little objects whirling around her, her stomach sinking lower and lower. she listened to him quietly, taking each and every word and locking it away into her memory. she had known about his wife, and that he had loved her very much, but hadn't known much more than that. when he paused, she ran a hand through her hair, adjusting to all of this:: dark... that's what Remmy said... and that was why the card said The Dark i'm guessing... wow... that's... pretty out there....

"..Then you are a cardcaptor...The Dark belongs to you and you will have a gaurdien...Franki as a cardcaptor you will have to train with magic, which I wil train you and you will have to be careful how you use it....as well as helping to defeat La Mort.....if he gets his hands on the cards...the world as we know it will be doomed.....do you understand?"

He gave a serious look to Franki, he knew she was trying to lighten the mood a bit but right now she had to be serious. He waved his hand over and the doom disappeared and was the magic circle. "..This isn't going to be fun and games Franki, I want you to understand that there is a chance you and the others might get hurt. Which is why you have to be serious about this.......and I don't want you to hang around that Ran kid....he could be one of Mort's grunts, seeking the cards....understood?" he asked in a serious tone.

::ah, she knew that tone well. it meant, "stop goofing off and pay attention or else!" she wiped away her weak smile and nodded, her own expression as serious as his:: i understand. if i ever run into Ran again, i'll be extra careful, and no i won't go looking for him ::even if he is a whimp, she adds mentally:: and i understand that this isn't a game, not if you say it isn't. i'll study just as hard to learn how to do.... this... ::she waved a hand to take in the magic circle, meaning magic in general:: as i have at all of my other lessons. um.... what is this anway? ::she was studying the circle now, curisoity bright in her eyes. it was a well known fact to everyone who had ever met her, she could never stay dead serious for long::

Li gave a nodd and his expression became less serious. "..This is my magic circle. Call it a magical signaure if you will. Every magician has one...now I suppose I best be teaching you how to sense for magic as well as how to use your card....and the others as well."

"Then it be best if you go and find them. In order for all of you to defeat La Mort you each must have cards....and you have to find your gaurdien.....to find them, sense for them....when you go outside, clear your mind and focus your engery on anything that feels like Fire, like a temper or something of that nature. Since Remmy does have the fire card, understand?"

::she smiles back:: i can take a hint.... ::and she races back into the main house, stopping only long enough to put on her rollerblades. she didn't bother taking her bag with her, knowing she'd be back later for it anyway, and heads out to look for Remmy. she didn't even know how to begin to look for the guardian so she figured she'd just concentrate on what she COULD do. focusing just as Li had taught her years ago, she tries to find something that felt like fire... since she had absolutely no idea how to go about this, she skated around as she thought. well... in all those fantasy books, they always described magic as imaging things, right? so she pictured Remmy in her mind, surrounded by fire... somehow the image seemed right, so she had no problems making it crystal clear... without realizing it, she started to follow the strange tugging sensation that told her "that way...." until she saw Remmy, Hyozan, and Glory talking. she stops inches from running into Hyozan and draped an arm around his shoulders casually:: 'ey! miss me? :;she grinned. she didn't know that Hyozan and Glory were in on the whole card captor thing, so figured it would be best to wait until she could get Remmy alone:: what's with the raven? are you afraid he'll kill your litte fire lizard?

Glory turned to Franki with a smile. "Oh hi Franki, how are you?" she asked. Not knowing if Franki knew about the cardcaptors thing.

pretty good, considering. sorry i had to bail so quickly before. i just remembered that i had practice... but it was cancelled! coach had a kid, pretty amazing, huh? anyway, how are you all?
