Rae shook her head in exasperation. "Glowing lights and voices signing our names emititng from the center of the lake, in a nutshell." She looked up ahead and saw that blasted log. "Have fun rolling Itsuki, Terra." Rae leaped up onto the log to look at the two foxes who were about to go rolling. She smirked at Kyou. "It's pretty amusing to watch, actually."

Kyou stepped up onto the log as well, right next to Rae.
Itsuki jumped onto the log lightly as well. "What can, I say? It's fun!" Jumping off, Itsuki rolled down the hill and landed at the bottem, near the lake. "Come on, Terra, your turn!"
Terra jumped off the log after Itsuki. When she reached the bottom, laughing, she said, "That is fun!"

Rae laughed, looking sideways at Kyou. "And here I thought Itsuki alone was a handful!" She leaped gracefully off the log, waiting for Kyou. Rae spotted Sahari at the lake and grinned. She was sure Itsuki and Terra would get some questioning looks.

Kyou jumped off of the log as well, landing near Rae. Looking around at the lake, he noticed another fox. "Who is that?" he asked.

Re walked down the hill. "I'm guessing the other fox is Chaussure, and that's our other Elder, Sahari. I wouldn't bother with introductions for now, they seem lost in thought."

Kyou nodded, understandingly. Walking towards the lake, he went to get a sip of water.
Terra walked up to the lake and looked at it. "Kyou, why is the water here solid?"
Itsuki walked up to Terra. "It's because that is ice," she explained. "It's so cold here that some of the lake is frozen. You should go to where your brother is to get a drink."

Rae sat down next to Kyou, smiling at the curiosity-filled Terra. She looked back over the lake, glancing at the center before looking at the treeline on the other shore.

"So," Kyou started, as Terra started trying to walk on the ice, "How long have you been here? In the tribe, that is."

Anjafey lay down on the banks, shaking her head at Terra. She looekd back up at Kyou and smiled. "Not very long, I guess. I came a few days before the weird glowing lake event. You'd be surprised how little time it takes to feel like...part of a family. Especially with Loki and Itsuki around." She turned back to watching Terra, grinning. The kit was having a hard time with traction.

Itsuki watched Terra, laughing. "I told you it would be hard!" Itsuki said. "Just be careful for un frozen parts!"
"It's fun, though!" Terra said. "I'll make sure I don't run into any water, though!"
Kyou chuckled. "I'm not surprised. Itsuki seems very friendly and, from all the stories, so does Loki."

Rae sat back up. "Yes, although he does have his moments where he's serious. He normally ends up finding a way to break those moments though. Like falling over the log. Sometimes, I think he does it just to keep himself on our level." She shook her head. "Sorry, I analyze a lot." She looked back at Terra and rolled her eyes playfully. "Excuse me while I go teach your sister how to walk on ice. Want to try?"

Kyou looked at Rae. "Sure. In a place like this, it would be helpful." Standing up, he walked over to the lake.

Rae smiled and stepped out onto the ice. She allowed herself to skid toawrds Terra before stopping. She studied Terra's motions for a moment. "You're thinking about it too hard. Act as if you...as if you were walking on the rocks in a stream." She looked back at Kyou for a moment, smiling self-conciously before turning her gaze back to Terra.

Terra looked at Rae and nodded. Trying to think less, she took a few more steps on the ice. "Yay!" Terra exclaimed, "I'm not falling!"
Itsuki stepped onto the ice as well. "It's easy when you don't think about things!" She said, laughing. "No, that's not right, is it?"
Kyou walked up carefully as well. "Good job," he said to Terra. "Thanks for the lesson, Rae."

Rae nodded, and then lifted an eyebrow at Itsuki. "You have to think about it some. I'd prefer not to get a moutful of ice, thanks." She grinned at her friend and felloe scout. Of course, she naturally fell at this moment in a partially melted spot, skidding into Kyou's legs. "Oof." She struggled to move, the wind knocked out of her.
