...And she went at her opposition. Nina moved around gracefully, spinning around and under the blows that the Rockets attempted to land upon her. She did not attack, but avoided everything sent her way; It takes twice as much energy to swing and miss as it does to swing and hit, she thought to herself. I just need to keep this up...
And, for a few minutes, that's just what she did. However, one of the female Rockets got lucky and slammed her fist into Nina's jaw, throwing her momentum off. What the hell?! That's the second time today! she thought irritably. Jumping away from the four Rockets, she extended both arms out on either side of her body, clutching her daggers tightly. She dashed forward, and continued her graceful movement...
However, this time, crimson was splashed around in her path. The Rockets she had defeated fell to the floor, turning cold. Nina wiped her weapons on one of the minion's uniforms, looking over to the staircase a moment later.
"Mynahhhh," Bobert said, as he ascended the stairs again. "Nina, what did you do that for, nyah...?" He looked rather surprised as he saw Nina standing near the "mess" she had made. The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Oh, I'm sorry Bobert," she said, bitterness in her tone of voice, "but I had to actually take care of something, and I wouldn't have been able to do that had you been up here with me." She chuckled. "After all, what could a pathetic twit like you possibly do to aid me in anything? I suggest that you get away from me unless you'd like to end up similar to the people on the ground over there." She nodded over towards the Rockets.
"But... Nina! All I wanted to do was help, myar... Why are you being so mean?" "This isn't mean," she replied. "You don't want to see me being mean. And, as far as you wanting to help? Drop dead. That way, it'll save me the time of doing the task myself. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to prevent a few legendary Pokemon from being captured." She smiled sweetly, before turning around and heading toward the next staircase that would lead to the third floor.
Bobert hung his head in extreme dismay. "Ohhh-oh," he whined, "I really need a hug now, myar..."

"Will do," Keegan answered, returning Dante's smile and small wave with ones of his own before he pivoted on a heel and continued walking back to the Pokemon Center. He hadn't really traveled alone in quite some time now, but the thought didn't bother him all that much. He stepped through the sliding doors, making his way over to the computer and sitting down. Since he wasn't accessing anything of his specifically, he didn't need to enter any information. He browsed a few sites, finally settling on a search engine where his quest to figure out which Pokemon could learn Rock Smash would begin.
Without even really realizing it, he spent quite a while right there in that spot, making a list of potential Pokemon that could learn the move. Only one Pokemon in his actual possession could learn it, and that was Althena. Keegan couldn't imagine how cute little Althena would go about shattering boulders with her tiny, seemingly ineffectual fists, and he scanned the rest of the list for possible candidates. "Let's see here," he murmured, standing up and stretching his cramped legs. "A lot of these Pokemon would be difficult to find," he sighed, stuffing the paper into his pocket and gathering his things. Once outside, he readied his trusty (and still newly repaired) Acro Bike and mounted it, heading north.

Creeping up the stairs, Nina poked her head around a corner, walking silently, to check for any Rockets that would be about. Surprisingly enough, the third floor was completely barren of human life, other than her own. Ascending a staircase that was on the opposite side of the room to the floor marked PRODUCTION, the girl noticed a single female Rocket sitting on a couch, reading a magazine. Judging by her clothing, she was not a lowly Grunt; it was likely that she was of Admin rank.
Finally, Nina thought, with a soft sigh of relief, the type of person I've been looking for... Admins interact with Giovanni much more frequently than Grunts do. Let's see what this girl has to say. Standing fully, her hands behind her back, Nina approached the Admin.
"Like, excuse me miss?! Can I, like, bother you for a minute?!" Nina flipped her hair superficially and wore an idiotic grin. Her tone of voice was affected as well. The Admin looked up from her magazine, with one eyebrow raised very high. "You wanna get out of my Tower?" she asked. "I really don't feel like getting up and personally escorting you out of here." "But like, I promise I'll leave you alone if you like, answer like, one question that I like, want to ask!" The Admin put her magazine down. "Fine, but then you'd better leave the second you're done. And, if you say 'like' one more time, I'll see to it you won't have the ability to ask another question." "Ohmigawsh, I am so sorry, and junk. But anyways and stuff, I was just wondering if you could tell me anything about Giovanni?" The Admin crossed her arms and chuckled. "Yeah right," she said. "What makes you think I'd tell you anything about him?"
"Because," Nina replied, "if you don't, then I'll see to it that you end up like your friends a couple of floors below us." She drew her hands out from behind her back, showing her hands that clutched the daggers. She grinned darkly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" the Admin exclaimed, standing abruptly. "Even if I knew anything about the man, I'd never speak a word of it to you! Now, put those things away before I have to hurt you!"
Nina sighed. "Wrong answer..."

Keegan soon reached that all-too familiar spot once again. He'd held a lengthy battle here not too long ago, and this was also the spot where he'd managed to get his belongings back after being robbed. "Good times," he smiled to himself, as he dismounted his bike and looked around. The rocks blocked the path, just as he remembered them. "Well, let's see if you really can shatter these rocks with a single attack, Miss Althena," the redhead chuckled as he released the little Psyduck before him. Althena stared up at the rocks, blinking slowly. Keegan then took the disc that contained the unbreakable HM, Rock Smash, out of its case and held it up for her to see. "It's time to teach you a new move."
He knelt down in front of her, holding the disc out to her. "Ready?"
Althena stared at him, and then at the disc. She shook her head. "Psy."
"What do you mean, 'psy'?" Keegan demanded.
"Psy." She shook her head again.
"What, is this you refusing? Is that what this is?"
Althena nodded quickly. "Psy!"
"But I need you to smash those rocks so we can get past here," he said firmly. "I have the badge we need for it and everything. Just hold still for a moment so I can teach you Rock Smash."
"Psy!" Althena said defiantly, and took a step back. Her stubby little arms were crossed in front of her.
"Althena!" Keegan was starting to get angry now. "Since when do any of you refuse to learn a new move?"
Since now, came the dirty look from the rebellious Psyduck. She made a sound that resembled laughter.
"That does it!" Keegan grumbled, and reached forward, determined to teach Althena Rock Smash. However, he hadn't fully perceived the true extent of her refusal until she stopped him in his tracks. Both Pokemon and human glowed with a purplish tint, and with a toss of her head, Althena sent her redheaded trainer flying back several feet and into one of the very rocks that blocked their path.

"All right, all right, fine. You win," Keegan groaned, opening one eye to glare at Althena. "But did you really have to use your psychic powers to throw me like that?"
Althena gave a cheeky little grin, and laughed again. Keegan raised an eyebrow, and sighed. "So I guess this means we've got to find another Pokemon that can learn Rock Smash instead." He leaned back against the rock, and looked up at the sky. "I suppose we could go find a Zigzagoon or something. I hear they're pretty obedient." He shot Althena a smug look with that comment, to which the Psyduck replied by squirting a small stream of water at him. "Oh, that's really nice of you. Is it pick on Keegan day?" he asked the little Psyduck as he got to his feet.
He froze just then, as something whizzed by his ear. Althena let out a gasp of pain, and Keegan's gaze turned to her. A good-sized rock lay at her feet, a painful-looking red bump forming between her eyes. She wore a look of both confusion and fear. "What was that?" the boy asked, taking a step forward. Another rock soared through the air and hit him on the shoulder. "That does it, whoever's doing that better knock it off right now or--" Keegan whirled around, looking at where the rocks had come from. A round, grey Pokemon stared down at him from atop a cluster of large boulders, a wet patch decorating its left arm. The other held another rock, ready to be hurled.
Wild Geodude appeared! Level: 22
"So you're behind this," Keegan grumbled, backing up a few steps as the rocky Pokemon slid down the rocky slope. It glared at both Keegan and Althena with angry eyes, having been awoken from its peaceful nap first by this human's annoying voice, and secondly, from that water Pokemon's carelessness. It bashed its fist into the rock it was holding, smashing it to bits. Keegan's eyes lit up as he pulled the slip of paper from his pocket and checked it. Geodude was on the list. "How... convenient," the boy smiled, rubbing his hands together. He pointed at the rocky interloper. "All right Althena, let's capture ourselves a new friend."

Lombre looked around frantically, unsure of where his opponent was going to pop up next. Each time his foe reappeared, the frog gave a slight jump. "Lom..." he whispered, taking a step back. Suddenly, he felt the wind knocked out of him, as if something had just pierced through the Pokemon's stomach.
"Lombre! Get up!" Kilik called out. He watched his Pokemon stand up slowly, wincing slightly at the pain he had to have been in. Never before had Kilik experienced a Shadow Punch attack, so even he took the time to imagine how much it hurt. When he was sure Lombre was okay, Kilik snapped his fingers. "Use Surf!"
Suddenly, Lombre's eyes opened wide. Water began to secrete out of ever pore in his body. His arms, his legs, face and even the top of his leaf. And then, the water vanished. The frog took a step back and lowered his head. A flood burst from his leaf, crashing to the ground and welling up into a tidal wave, ready to crash down upon Haunter.

Karri retaliated with a Psychic attack once more tossing Pidgeot like a piece of crumpled paper. Taking advantage of the slow recovery she boosted her stats by focusing her energy with a Calm Mind. Her ruby colored eyes flashed opened a second before Pidgeot made contact with another Wing Attack.
Karri floated to the side, just a bit, with the greatest ease gracefully evading his Quick Attack. Pidgeot flew in with a few rapid fire Gust attacks folled by a well timed Quick Attack. The Embrace Pokemon teleported out of the onslaught, putting a nice distance between them. Taking the offensive she launched two Shadow Balls at the opponent.
To her surprise Pidgeot braced himself and took the attack head on. It proved to do little than scratch the Pokemon, but it was a completely different story as he fired the same attack back at Karri. A Mirror Move Mitsu realized with a sudden thought. Pidgeot's such a high level, up there with Kasiya's Pokemon.

"Time to end this!" Ken said speaking up, "Return!"
"You too Karri! Show them just how close the bond between the two of use are!"
Karri gathered up a deep breath to help steady her hard breathing. She then began to glow a brilliant emerald green color. Pidgeot too began to glow, his aura a crimson red though. Mitsu glanced at Ken whom had his eyes closed just as Pidgeot. They must be getting in sync with one another even more than they already are. Mitsu was no fool, she knew the bond between Ken and his beloved Pidgeot was great, but she would prove that thiers was even stronger. She too closed her eyes. If one would listen closely they could hear her shallow, yet even breaths.
Both trainers eyes flashed open as thier Pokemon spurred into action completely in sync with one another. Karri and Pidgeot collided. Each tried to over come the other with the poweful bond that they each shared with thier trainers. Karri's emerald aura flared for a moment or two before it died down as Pidgeot's crimson aura flared then subsided as well.
The mere thiry or so seconds had felt like such an eternity before one courageous Pokemon took the fall. She could no longer stand the damage she had taken and fallen. Karri's emerald aura died down as he fell to the floor defeated.
Pidgeot wasn't in the best of conditions either as he was breathing had now and unable to sustain flight any longer. He landed on Ken's arm as his aura flickered away.

"You were great," Mitsu said hugging the Psychic Pokemon. Mitsu lifted up her Pokeball and recalling her. Mitsu let a tiny sigh escape her lips before looking back up. "I won again," Ken said with a smirk. "Just like old times," Mitsu joked, "I still haven't beaten you, but one day I will. Just you wait."
Ken gave a heart warming laugh. "Well maybe that one day might not be so far off," he replied. He lifted up the red sphere and recalled his Pokemon. He looked up at the night sky, "There's no Pokemon Center around here so you'll have to wait till tomorrow."
"That's fine," Mitsu said gazing up at the full moon. "It didn't seem like those battles had taken so long did they?"
"We were caught in the moment I guess," he answered tearing his gaze away from the moon. "Hey I know this spot. Granted it's not a white space rock, but it's pretty close."
Mitsu smiled at the mention of the rather large chunk of space rock on her home island. It was an ivory white and sat near the space center. One could get a clear view from where it was located. She recalled that the two of them, Ken and herself, had sent thier nights there playing or gazing at the stars. "Sure, let's go," she answered.

After a short trip the two were seated in a small field. The grass was soft and the nighttime breeze was just right. The two were once more caught staring off into the irridecent moon whos rays shone down on the pair. "To think it was only a few months since were went out seperate ways. Me a breeder and you a trainer," Ken said.
"Yeah," Mitsu agreed taking yet another trip down memory lane. Once back to reality she gave a bittersweet laugh, "We've changed so much."
Ken faintly nodded his head, "Yeah. For the better I think."
"But you know, sometimes I wish that things wouldn't change. That they'd just stay the way they already are. They're already perfect and don't need to change."
"Nothing's perfect Mitsu," Ken said finally shifting his hazel eyes from the moon to Mitsu's purple ones. "Although I'd expect something like that to come from you."
Mitsu gave a sort of half smile that mimiced that famous painting, she couldn't recall what it's name was. "But I do. I really do," she insisted.
After a moment of thoughtful thinking Ken spoke up, "Me too."

"So you're going to the Viridian Forest tomorrow huh?" Ken asked. Mitsu nodded in response. "Promise me you'll be careful. That you'll come out alive."
Mitsu turned her head to look at Ken. He had such a serious look to his eyes. "O-of course. Why wouldn't I come out alive?" she asked almost afraid of the answer.
"That I can't tell you, no matter how much I wish I could," he replied with a smile filled with sorrow.
"I don't understand."
"You will. When the time comes you'll understand it all."
"Understand it all," Mitsu repeated trying the words out. It didn't seem right. Understand all of what? The duo shared a moment of silence. It wasn't a bitter, cold silence but one that two great companions shared.
Ken was the first to speak up. He did not shift his gaze from the full moon as he spoke.
"And who know: Starting a new journey may not be so hard Or maybe it has already begun."
Mitsu turned her head and looked at him. "So poetic," she said choosing her words carefully, "That's not like you Ken."
"My father told me that," he said his gaze unchanged and he spoke as though Mitsu had never said a word. "He told me that before he . . . before he passed away."
Mitsu let a small gasp escape. She remembered how kind hearted Ken's father had been. How caring and strong. "I still don't completely understand it," Ken said once more. He finally looked Mitsu in the eyes again. "I won't be traveling around for a while. I'm going to follow my father's footsteps here in Pallet first," he paused, "Then set out on the path to become a trainer. Promise that you'll travel with me?"
"I will. You have my word."
So I used a quote from Kingdom Hearts. Sue me. XP;;

When the boys made it to the library they began to look through the volumes of journal entries by a scientist who had lived in the Mansion. He had experimented on Pokemon on the island and they turned on him and overtook the Mansion. Over fifty years passed and the masion was over run with the offspring of the cruel and terrible experiments. It was a black spot on the isalnds history. Most had forgotten it even many of the elders on the island had done their best to forget the Mansion. As the boy continued they found more and more horrors revealed.

Sighing Dante set down the book he was reading. "Meowth there are a lot of fascinating things in the world. I just happened to pick the Legendary Pokemon to be interested in."
"Right there are a lot of interesting things in the world, why did you have to choose something so dangerous? I mean you could study other things, why the Legendaries?"
Leaning back in his seat Dante stared out of the window across from him for a moment watching the scenery go by. Finally after a moment he answered slowly. "I guess I just want to unravel the mystery behind them. Why are these pokemon so rare? Why are they so powerful? What makes them be called Legendary? Even the pokemon I have in my team and others have in there own pale in comparison to the Legendaries power." He paused for a moment before a slow smile spread across his face. Looking over at Meowth he said in a somewhat self depreciating way. "Of course I may just like power."
The cat pokemon looked at his trainer for a moment with a strange expression on his face. "You do know that there is no way any of us could stand up to any of the Legendary pokemon."
"I know, that’s why we are going to see Surge to get some advice and practice. We do need more practice against electric pokemon."
"The gym we were just in was an Electric gym! You should have challenged Wattson!" Meowth yelled in Dante's ear.
"Ouch, no yelling in my ear." He grumbled. "Yes Wattson was an Electric gym leader, and I will challenge him someday. However, Lnt. Surge is from the region that Zapdos is in and I think he would have the most knowledge for this."

“Yeah well it is good that you are studying up but still, I just don’t like it.” Meowth said crossing his arms over his chest. “I mean these pokemon could kill you without breaking a sweat!”
Dante watched the cat pokemon rant threw half lidded eyes. Sighing he shut them and brought to fingers up to the bridge of his nose and pinched it. “Any pokemon could kill me. In fact anything can kill you. Some times you just need to take risks to do the things you want to do. I want to do this and so I will. I will not force you to come with me if you do not want to.” He finished off with a sigh.
“What! How are you going to talk to the Legendaries if I am not there?” The cat pokemon exclaimed.
“I will find a way. Look if some thing goes wrong, and some thing probably will I will not lie about that. But if some thing does go wrong, you and all the others are free to go. Before we even go inside the power plant I am going to tell the others what I am going to do. They will not be going into this with out warning and will have the same chance to leave that I am giving you.”
Meowth upon hearing that was silent for a moment. “Fine, I will go with you, however if some thing does go wrong then I am leaving.” He said with a small huff at the end.
Looking over at the cat pokemon who was sitting next to him Dante gave a small smile. “Deal. Now lets get some rest. We have to get a gym match when we get off this train.” That being said Dante closed his eyes for a little nap.

A few hours later the train pulled into the Saffron City train station. Dante who was still somewhat asleep almost missed getting off the train in time. In fact he had to grab all of his stuff, Meowth and dash towards the door jumping off just when the train was starting to move again. Once safely off Dante stretched slightly and looked around the area. A lot of it seemed to have had some sort of damage to it. Figuring that it was just construction or something he shrugged it off and decided that he didn’t really care all that much. “All right, as much as I like this city I do want to head off. So it looks like we are hitching a ride on Apollo’s back.” Dante said with a grin. It wasn’t like the walk was to long between to two cities, he just felt like getting a ride.
Reaching into his bad he pulled out Apollo’s Safari Ball and tossed it out into the middle of the street. Apollo like always appeared in a flash of black and white flames, much to the people on the streets enjoyment, who clapped slightly upon seeing the beautiful pokemon. Enjoying himself fully Apollo pranced over to Dante happily enjoying the ooh’s and aah’s he was getting. “Well well well, it looks like someone is a bit of a show off.” Dante teased lightly as he hoisted himself up onto the Ponyta’s back. “Anyway we need to get going, we have another gym to get to.” He said as he steered Apollo south in the direction of Route 6.
