Where did that come from? ::she doesn't look demanding, or like she's making fun of him, more puzzled than anything else::

"Well, uh...." he couldn't think of any clever lie, mostly because his heart told him to stop lying to her and his head was being overrun by it. "Well, um, I'm an immortal goddess." he said. Either the next thing she said would be 'you're crazy' or she would say 'but you're a guy. Why aren't you called a god?' He was hoping for the latter.

Remmy blinked. That was a new one. "Umm, no. Godesses as in," he pointed up at the ceiling, "deities."

::looks up, then back at him:: No you aren't. First off, you're a guy. You'd be a god. Second, why would you need a place to stay? Can't you just create your own building or something?

Remmy sighed. "Okay, there's only one god. His name is Yggsdril and he rules over the goddesses. I am a male goddess, so I am still a goddess. I have been assigned to stay with a human and that human is you. Besides that fact, I'm only in training and therefore wouldn't have the power to create my own building as few of us are."

::still looks rather doubtful, and has reverted to the excessivly polite Freddy:: I'm sorry, but I'm finding this rather hard to believe, you understand. Do you have any- um- papers, or proof?

He blinked several times, she was asking for papers. Which he did actually have. He focused and made them appear in his hand, giving them to her, including details about his assignment.

Stares at him a few moments, then looks down at them, noting her own name and address. She can't quite figure out if it's a trick or not, because he's not wearing a shirt so there was no sleeve to pull them out of:: ok, so assuming I believe you, which I'm not quite sure I do, why me? If you are here to learn about. . . mortals. . . I'm a pretty bad example. I don't live like most of them do.

Remmy shrugged. "We don't choose our assingments but we grant wishes so maybe it's because you're different." he said, not sure himself.

::thinking to herself:: *well, if he's a nut, he's a nut that doesn't want to hurt anyone, at least* ::folds her hands in front of her:: So you're more like genies? ::tilting her head to one side and biting her lip::

He sighed. "No, we only grant one wish per person and you just have to call in, not find some lamp or anything. We have more powers as we grow but are very limited at the training stage."

"Actually, I'm supposed to tell you and no one else. But you would have thought I was a total nutcase and it would have been useless to even ask to stay with you."

::nods:: I have to agree with you there. ::rests her chin in her hand, leaning foreward on the table, pushing her empty plate out in front of her:: wait. . . you were talking about your brother. He did this too? ::wondering how his brother could live with anyone as they are, given his temper and affinity to hitting things::
