Vairocana lost her grip on the tree branch and fell. She screamed as she fell knowing she'd either die or be bitten. Suddenly a pair of arms caught her. She looked up to see Yami Bakura looking down at her. He didn't look like he was going to kill her. In fact he looked... sorry?

Yami Bakura finally got control of his emotions and caught Vairocana as she fell. He placed her feet on the ground and held her to him. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and held her close just to be reassured that she was there. "I'm s-sorry. i don't know what came over me." He felt something warm hit his shoulder and smelt Vairocana's tears. He felt something wrap around his waist as Vairocana hugged him back.

"It's a-alright. I knew you weren't yourself." Vairocana said tears running down her cheeks.

Yami Bakura closed his eyes and breathed in. "The next time this happens don't be afraid to attack me. Its the only way to ensure your safety just long enough for Ryou to find you. Its been a long time since I've had innocent blood and yours called out to me that's why I changed. We should get out of here though. There's another vampire above us who probably smells your blood and may be after you next." Not hearing a response Yami Bakura turned to look at Vairocana who had been staring at Seto Kaiba in fear. He looked at Kaiba and narrowed his eyes. Yami Bakura didn't know how strong Kaiba was and he didn't want to find out now.

Vairocana placed herself inbetween Kaiba and Yami Bakura. "Leave him alone!" She shoved Yami Bakura away from Kaiba. "Go find Ryou I'll be okay." Yami Bakura shook his head and opened his mouth to argue. "Just do it! If there's one thing I learned through out my years is to protect the ones I care about. Hurry and find Ryou!" Vairocana glanced at the place Kaiba had looked at before and saw Fay. Yami Bakura was slowly backing away after handing Vairocana another katana. Vairocana inched herself between Fay and Kaiba.

Yami Bakura didn't know why he was doing this but he turned and ran. Something in her voice and eyes told him she'd be okay and that what she said was truthful. "How can someone care for a vampire like me?" Yami Bakura clutched his chest as if he had been burnt. 'What is this! Its like I'm feeling an emotion that I haven't felt before. It can't be what I think it is.' Suddenly Yami Bakura slammed into Ryou and the two fell to the ground.

Vairocana drew the two katanas she now had. She held them in front of her as a small act of self defense. Maybe if she destracted the vampire in front of her long enough the girl behind her would run to safety.

Ryou listened to the whole story Yami Bakura told him as they ran to the park. They slipped in a different way and came up behind a girl who was hiding. In front of the girl by a few feet was Vairocana. Ryou came up behind the girl and covered her mouth. "Shh! Don't scream I'm here to get you to safety. Is there anyone else with you?"

Yami Bakura had climbed up a tree above Vairocana incase she needed help. This way he might surprise Kaiba and save Vairocana from a deadly fight. A fight in which she would lose.

Vairocana tilted her head down her eyes narrowing in determination. "I won't let you harm her." She could smell the alcohol on him and knew he was drunk. She stood her ground and tightened her grip on the hilts of the katanas. "no more innocent blood shall be spilt unless it is my own in the process of protecting others.

Ryou looked to Mokuba and then back at the girl releasing her mouth. "You are weak I'll carry you." Ryou knelt down so the girl could get on his back. He looked at Mokuba again. "Can you walk?"

Yami Bakura watched from the branch he was in as Ryou helped the two below. He looked to Vairocana and hoped that she wouldn't get killed. 'The last thing I want is your blood spilling the ground. Especially when I didn't cause it.' He smirked. Yami Bakura looked Vairocana up and down. When one faced a strong vampire they are normally shaking with fear, if not the shaking then their eyes would betray them. Yami Bakura saw nothing to show she was afraid. 'She is willing to die for that girl and boy behind her and myself just so we're safe. Why? When she said she learned to protect her loved one's what did she mean?'

"Oh how noble of you." Seto says sarcastically with a laugh. He had noiced Bakura already but didnt show it as of yet. He sighs but was still mocking them. "Its a sad day when a vampire helps a human, but I guess you cant get much pathetic then you already are, Bakura." He says with a smirk, still advancing slowly towards the girl. He would step to the left, then the right, then the left again and so on towards her, debating on when he wanted to attack.

Vairocana's eyes widened a little. 'They came back!' She narrowed her eyes again and growled taking a step forward.

Yami Bakura watched Vairocana knowing that Kaiba could strike any second. He saw her step forward and he almost fell in a panic. 'What is she doing!?'

Vairocana crossed her katanas to form and X. She had taken sword fighting lessons but never dreamed of having to use them. Vairocana eyed Kaiba carefully to see if he would try anything.

Ryou nearly cursed as he had been found. He picked up Mokuba and started running from the place. "You'll have to guide me to the victim's sanctuary. Before you ask of how I know of it I had been there before when I was still human."

Ryou ran up to the door of the sanctuary and set Mokuba down. Kneeling down again he let Fay get off his back. "You will be safe here. Now if you'll excuse me I have to make sure my friend is okay. Even if she is a maid." Ryou took off quickly leaving the two he brought to the sanctuary behind. 'I do hope they will be okay. Vairocana why are you risking your life for us?'
