Jason listened to Shouta's words with a smile on his face. He was glad to now gained a friend from this race since now he would be able to learn a few things about their culture and their relations with the Quincy... Which he had been told was not one of the better histories the world had ever seen. Upon hearing about the Myriads, Jason chuckled a bit to himself before walking a stone that protruded out of the ground like a seat and sat upon it. His thoughts started to race as he started remembering stories told by Uryuu Ishida on how he and Ichigo along with some other Human's traveled into the Seireitei, or Soul Society, and fighting a Group of extremist Bounto lead by the infamous Kariya-sama or however the name was said. "Would you like to hear a story of when the Bounto gain access to Soul Society, aiming to destroy their kind completely," asked Jason with a smile as he lifted his head up towards Shouta and Hecate. "I was told how it all happened by a Quincy that actually went into those lands the Shinigami called, Seireitei to fight against them."Quote: 2392 + 197 + 201 (dizzy) = 2790

Shouta watched as Jason found a place to sit, but remained standing for a moment, until Jason offered to tell him more about the incident from the past, when the one who'd been at one time heralded as the Bounto's spiritual leader, Kariya-sama, had attempted to destroy the Shinigami. Rather obviously, it had been unsuccessful, there were still Shinigami around now, right? So it wasn't all that surprising that the knowledge of such a debacle would be kept close to the heart."Definitely! Even though I am a Bounto, I've heard very little of what happened, and I'd like to know why."With that, he moved closer to Jason and took a seat, settling for a spot against the wall, sliding down to sit on the cool stone. Hecate hesitated a moment before sitting next to him, he could feel the slight warmth from her body at his side.Quote: Shouta's word count: 1494 plus 149 plus 197(Bone's) = 1840

Jason closed his eyes as he started to recall the story though it was rather choppy in his memory, he was sure that it would all come back to him eventually while he told his story. “It all began when a boy named Ichigo Kurosaki met a woman after a few recent attacks on humans. During his confrontation, he soon found that a Bounto had the ability to call upon Dolls, physical manifestations of spiritual energy that reflects the personality of the Bounto, and was quickly overpowered by her Doll of pure fire… Ichigo was, of course, a substitute Shinigami but that didn’t mean he was all the more weak but before the woman could give the final blow, another Shinigami by the name of Ryukia Kuchiki came to Ichigo’s aid using their magic called Kendo. After fighting a few minuets, another Bounto came and whisked her back to Kariya-sama. But wouldn’t be for a while until this Quincy came across the woman whom tried to run away from Kariya-sama and as a result, was harmed by Kariya’s men. A while later, Ichigo Kurosaki along with two humans named Orihime Inoue and Yasutora Sado met up with Rukia and another Shinigami named Abarai Renji to go and confront Kariya and his men. But, as Ichigo confronted Kariya, he was underpowered to defeat him and Kariya escaped to these Caverns. Here, they constructed a gate to bring them to Seireitei… But they were missing one key to unlocking the pathway between Earth, and Soul Society… They needed a single arrow, from a Quincy. Once more, Ichigo and his band of allies confronted them but all was lost when this Quincy came with a newfound way to use his abilities even though he had lost them some time ago.
“It is known to us as the Quincy Crossbow, a device that would allow even the youngest of Quincys to gather enough spiritual energy to fire an arrow at the opponent. But if they used too much energy at once, the bow could break and kill them along with everyone else in the immediate area. I’m getting too carried away; lets get back to the story. Where was I? Oh yes. Ichigo would have lost if the Quincy didn’t appear but what the Quincy didn’t realize was that he had actually signed Soul Society’s destruction with his arrow as he fired one into the portal as to fight them on grounds where he could be stronger… He couldn’t have been more naive. He soon learned after that the Bounto can become even stronger since they feed upon Spiritual Energy and because Seireitei was made completely of it. Why didn’t they just eat Soul Society? Why did they have to attempt to use a dangerous weapon instead? Because, if they had eaten Soul Society, they would have died of being overwhelmed with such immense power before they could even ingest a portion of that world. Anyways, after the Bounto entered Soul Society, they found themselves outside the Shinigami lands and persuaded the souls that lived around in the Rukongai to fight those at the gates and help them break into the gates of the Shinigami… But the Bounto deceived those whom lived in the Rukongai since they had promised that they were all going to fight to destroy the Shinigami together. What the people didn’t know was that they were going to die too if the Bounto achieved victory.
“It wouldn’t be long until Ichigo’s group came into Soul Society as well, but when they got there, it was a bit too late since the Bounto were already attacking Seireitei. The captains had a tad bit of trouble from the Bounto, but they all succeeded in defeating them all. The only problem of this was that the Sōkyoku was being stopped from exploding by the other Shinigami captains. Ichigo confronted Kariya one last time upon the hill where they executed Shinigami that had turned against them and Kariya was finally defeated… But I believe that Kariya actually let Ichigo kill him since he was fused with his Doll… He didn’t want to live with the memory of losing all his friends as well to the Shinigami many years ago… Anyways, that’s the story and I hoped you enjoyed it,” said Jason as he looked towards Shouta and his doll with a gentle smile. Shouta payed close attention as Jason finally cast light on the recent history of the Bounto. There had been many things that he hadn't been told, things that hadn't made very much sense to him at all until just now. What Jason told him seemed to fit in perfectly, explaining why the Bounto hadn't left the cave system for somewhere even more secretive, and how their illustrious former leader Kariya-sama had met his end. When Jason finally finished telling the tale, Shouta spent a long moment pondering what he'd just been told, wondering how what had happened in the past would affect the Bounto's current role in the dynamics between the Shinigami and the Hollows.
He was about to thank Jason for telling him the truth of what happened, when he felt a slight but insistent tug on his shirt sleeve. Looking to his side, he saw Hecate looking at him, silently. Even though she didn't say a word, he seemed to know what she wanted, nodding in agreement."Yes I did, I enjoyed it greatly, thank you very much. Hecate raises a good point, though. You said that it was a Quincy's arrow that enabled the Bounto to form a portal to reach the Seireitei. And you said that you are a Quincy. Does that mean that you could open a portal to Seireitei?"Shouta waited for Jason's answer, wondering if it would be possible for him to go to the Seireitei. He wasn't sure why, but he felt a desire to go there. No, not for the obvious reason, to gorge on spiritual energy. No, this reason was more mysterious and unknown, even to him. He wasn't sure why he actually wanted to go to the Seireitei, just that he did. He wasn't sure if Hecate knew the answer, either. Sometimes, she knew more about him than he knew about himself. But that didn't mean she'd actually tell him about these revelations.
If Hecate had any further observations about Jason's tale, they went unspoken. Not that she actually spoke the first time, either, but regardless. She just looked at the other two with that same implacable, impossibly calm gaze.Quote: Shouta's word count: 1840 plus 360 plus 729(Bone's) = 2929

Jason observed their reactions although he was still unsure if they believed it all. Upon being asked if he could open the gate to Soul Society, Jason's eyes suddenly widened as he remembered something from a long time ago. He was standing at the front of the cave, holding what seemed to be a glove? Yes. It was the Quincy Gauntlet used by those only worthy of being strong. An arrow as drawn in the metallic bow before it was let loose, opening a door that a Bounto had created... But the Bounto's face was blurry, unable to be recognized. Jason snapped back to reality as he placed a hand over his eyes. "Heh. Yes. If a Bounto was able to start up the gateway, my arrow would be enough to complete it and allow passage to Soul Society for only a short amount of time. But, I do not plan to go to Soul Society any time soon... I need to get stronger before I even attempt such a feet," said Jason. Jason sighed as he looked at the ceiling. "What was that just then? A memory? Or a dream?"Quote: 3668 + 192 + 360 (Dizzy) = 4220

There was a small crackle of electricity and then he was gone. He simply vanished, only he hadn't disapeared completely only moved. He stood behind Haku back to back with him, the bright disk aglow with a strange crackling power. "Eh, shoddy reflexes... he really is as weak as he looks." Gakusai laughed. Gakusai might have downplayed his abilities, well both of them had really, but more on Gakusai's part. While possesing a rather low amount of noticeable reiatsu, his strength was in the fact that he had completely mastered the art of Ju Jitsu in his spare time giving him the upper hand with his greater experience. To Haku it might not have even been possible to see the movement happen, that's how fast the Mod-soul could move, this wasn't even his full speed either he was just showing off for the new kid. "So last chance for redemption or my friend here will probably eat yout soul for a snack. Let's see tha power of that action figure of yours you only have to survive one attack that's it. Then if you do you get a reward yah know?" The mod soul chuckled again as he moved springing forward away from the Bounto he was fighting, with calculated, yet graceful movements his jump carried him to the far wall, which he used as a springboard, launching him to the ceiling of the cavern which he used as another launchpad rocketing down towards Haku flipping in mid air so as to bring down a devastating kick from above onto the skuill of Haku. Akabane simply observed the small squabble with interest, they were always trying to find people with interesting powers and the powers of a Bount were usually the most interesting he had come across, the problem being that they were such a rarity now a days, things hadn't exactly been easy for them as a whole after the last failed assualt on the powers that be. Tessla spoke to him only loud enough for him to hear her words. "This one may hold promise, what are the chances that he survives Gakusai-san's attack" the breathy whispered flowed into his ear. "I'd only put his chances at 13% if he has a power that's useful then maybe 47%, but nothing is garuteed, he might just be another runt." Akabane folded his arms over his chest as he watched the strange stiched together scientists movements hoping to find a diamond in the rough, but realizing that he'd mostly have to settle for a garnet or some other such semi precious stone.

Shouta hadn't expected the brief moment when Jason's mind appeared to be elsewhere, like he was lost in thought, recalling a long distant memory. Or perhaps seeing a vision, with how far various powers had evolved over the years, even that didn't seem an impossibility at times. But regardless the moment passed, Jason seemed to become alert once more, and answered the question. So he could do it, if a Bounto were to open the gateway. Personally, he had no idea how to go about doing that, the information was likely as closely guarded as everything else that Jason had just told him. And unlike the rest, that bit of Bounto lore was unlikely to be known by any non-Bounto."I see. I can't open the gateway yet, it looks like I shall have to find out how. But yes, you are right. Becoming stronger first is definitely a good idea. Even with Hecate by my side, I'm no match for any of the more experienced fighters."Hecate finally showed some emotion, although not very much. Indignation, she didn't seem to like Shouta's insinuation that the two of them weren't very strong. Regardless of if it was true or not, she didn't like it. But she let it go quickly enough, her face returning to that same calm expression that seemed so natural on her. Shouta noticed her reaction, but he didn't do anything to immediately apologize. Perhaps later, when they were alone, he'd try to make things right. But as for now, no. He was more concerned with Jason's reaction from a moment earlier."Are you alright? You looked a little out of it earlier."Quote: Shouta's word count: 2929 plus 276 plus 190(Bone's) = 3395

Jason hunched his back as he started to getting a bit comfortable with his surroundings with a small smile upon his face. He was fading in and out of his thought but had heard every word that Shouta said. Jason then lifted a hand to his chin as he started to think, after hearing Shouta's claim that they wouldn't be a match for any other fighters with more experience than them. "That isn't entirely true you know. Even if your matched up against a man whom is capable to kill you, it will all run down on your and Hecate's will to live. I know myself that I wouldn't just go down without a fight so I'd fight until my last breath on the battle field... Heh, I had fantasized actually doing that many times and yet, I never felt the need satisfied I had been looking at my dreams involving that want... I guess that isn't how I truly want to die anyways," said Jason with a chuckle to himself. "But none the less maybe we can better ourselves by having sparring matches against each other. That way, you can think up combinations for your Doll's power with your strengths while not just standing back and hiding in the shadows afraid of the dangers you might get into."Quote: 4220 + 219 + 276 (Dizzy) = 4715

Haku gazed at the spot where the arrow had struck. His eyes shifting to the Quincy. He scanned him for a few seconds before returning his attention to the Mod-soul who had evidently vanished into thin air. Haku was in utter disbelief. He had never met someone so fast though something about this Mod-soul's speed that didn't seem natural. It seemed it was the speed attained by the use of the Ju Jitsu fighting style. It was only when he started talking that Haku noticed Gakusai behind him. Creeper, linked to Haku at the feet, wheeled around to follow the Mod-soul's movements. " Damn he's fast. Its almost unbelievable." Haku muttered under his breath as his eyes tried to keep up with Gakusai's movements. He gave an indication of an oncoming attack so Haku had his plan of action ready. As the Mod-soul bounced off the walls, Haku whispered " You ready creeper? This is our one shot. We fail, we'll end up as ghosts for real" Creeper nodded just as Gakusai came rocketing down. The doll activated its Spectral Arts causing both it and Haku to enter a ghost-like state. With this spectral affinity, the duo became see through as now they were intangible. It would be like trying to strike a hologram. The kick would merely pass through them no matter how much strength was put into it. Quote: Total Words: 228 Total Stacked Words: 1924 [Noir's Post]

Shouta turned back to look a little closer at Jason, taking his suggestion seriously. If they were allies, then they could fight against each other without risking their lives. At least not intentionally. They could finetune their skills, practice any techniques they'd learned; it seemed an excellent idea. He had to admit, he hadn't had much fighting experience at all, something like this seemed like a perfect coincidence. He glanced back at Hecate, her implacable face not giving away anything just yet. But he'd spent far too much time with her to not be able to have a feel for how she thought, what her reactions might be. In that regard, at least, he was a somewhat capable fighter, he knew his partner very well."I have to admit, the idea does have merit. Would you like us to begin now, or do you have pressing matters elsewhere? There is nowhere that Hecate and I have to be at the moment."He didn't actually get up yet, in case Jason declined. He wasn't sure how prepared he was for a fight right out of the blue like this, but that was probably a good thing. To have to fight without preparation, that seemed an important knack to learn when real fights never waited for everyone involved to be ready.Quote: Shouta's word count: 3395 plus 218 plus 219(Bone's) = 3832

Jason looked at Shouta and Hecate and chuckled a little. "Right now, I'm in no position to fight. But maybe another time when I get stronger and learn a few tricks. I wouldn't last long in any way against you both at the same time," said Jason with a laugh. He stood up and then looked around, seeing the group he tried to get their attention seemed to get ready for a sparing match. Jason dusted off his pants and then started walking towards the entrance. "Either way, I think it should be about time we go and travel around the place. I'll have to return to Shouken Falls sooner or later but that can wait," said Jason with a smile as he looked backwards towards the two. He had a few equipment that would have helped him in fighting these two but then again, it wouldn't be enough to last him very long and if they were to exhaust themselves now and try to fight someone who really wants to kill them, they'd be good as dead. Shouta nodded when Jason declined the offer to spar right there and then. He could certainly understand the other's reasons, he still had plenty of things that he could learn, things that would be useful later on when the time came for a real fight. Fighting now, without any of those skills, might be somewhat instructive, but it'd be a far wiser idea to wait until they had those skills, so they could practice using them, determine the best way to utilize them."Right, right. We can always have our match later, when we can challenge each other in a wider variety of ways. But where to go now, hmm? That's a very good question."Shouta got to his feet and paced back and forth a little, occasionally tapping his chin as he thought. It wasn't all that important of a decision, but he was having trouble deciding regardless. He almost didn't notice when Hecate got up and started copying him, cutely pacing behind him, only to scurry around to stay behind him when he turned. In the end, she won the contest to see which of the two would have an idea first."Perhaps we should seek training at a dojo?"Shouta turned, it was a rather extraordinary event. Hecate didn't speak too much, and even less frequently when there was someone besides him there to hear it. And that was a shame, her voice was a lovely and pure tone, matching her calm and youthful appearance perfectly. Maybe she was growing slightly fond of Jason? Either way, it was a good idea, Shouta decided."Well, what do you think? Should we try to find a dojo to train at for a while?"Quote: Shouta's word count: 3832 plus 283 plus 177(Bone's) = 4292

Jason had leaned his back upon the side of the cavern as Shouta started walking in pace while Hecate walked after him which was actually very cute. Much like a scene from a manga called Fruit's Basket when Toru was being followed by that little girl with the Tiger Spirit... What was her name again? Gah, to much hassle right now. Jason crossed his arms while close his eyes, starting to think about the caverns but suddenly, a vision of a hollow shot in his eyes, causing him to wake up completely. A name was floating in his head but Jason merely smiled at it. He realized he even had a Hollow ally and that is rather hard to get. Jason then turned his head towards the two as Hecate had an idea. "Sure. The Dojo sounds fine but there are actually two dojo's in the area. There's one that I learned is for mainly humans so they can train in the arts to see Hollows and Shinigami, etcetera and as well as gain the powers to destroy Hollows completely... Like a Quincy... The other Dojo is some place where go to train their techniques in various methods of martial arts... So, which we head too?"Jason looked towards them with a gentle smile, his red eyes and red hair seemed to radiate a bit in this darkness but that could be an illusion played on by the crystals... Or could it? Jason took his back off the wall and waited for their comment. Quote: 5111 + 254 + 283 (Dizzy) = 5648

Shouta almost resumed pacing, but held himself back. They decided on an option, only to be placed befopre another set of choices immediately afterwards! It was a good thing he wasn't indecisive, or that would be a veritable hell! Of course, a veritable hell for him would be something markedly different from that, no doubts there. But that wasn't important at the moment. For now, he just needed to decide, make a decision about which of the two dojos to visit.
On the one hand, the first dojo seemed very unique. A skill to let him see Hollows and Shinigami, that held no interest for him, he could already see them. At least he assumed so, he hadn't see any since he became a Bounto... But anyways, that second skill Jason mentioned seemed much more promising. A potential chance to destroy a Hollow? They were the Bounto's natural rivals, both fed upon souls, they were basically fighting over the same food source.
But the second dojo seemed much more useful in a general sort of way. Learning a type of martial arts would strengthen his body, and right now, that seemed to be something he needed rather badly. While the other dojo might have some useful techniques, he felt the second offered the greater amount of potential."I think maybe the second of the two, learning the basics of a martial arts style before going out to see the world seems like a good idea to me. What do you think?"This last was directed to both Jason and Hecate, not just one of them. Hecate seemed to understand that, hopefully Jason would as well. That was the problem when two spent too much time together. They learned each other's mannerisms and tendencies so fully that they often spoke to each other sparsely, saying such a minimum of words that only the other person knew what they really meant. Technically not a code, but just as hard to decipher at times. Regardless, Hecate nodded slightly, she seemed to agree with Shouta's decision.Quote: Shouta's word count: 4292 plus 342 plus 254(Bone's) = 4888 (Kisa-chan, right? She's so cute! heart Her and Saki!)
