[12] The shield blocked the attack, but most of the force went through anyway, causing Damrius to fall onto his rear. Ryugi spun around, keeping his momentum going and moved to the right to aim another falling strike towards Damrius' left arm as he was now off to Dame's left side, the sword singing towards Dame's shoulder once more.

Damrius saw Ryugi spin, and didn't hesitate. As Ryugi completed the spin, he twisted in the ground, fell to his back, and shot his left foot up to catch Ryugi's blade.
Metal on metal would resonate through the air as the Sol Blade clashed with the bottom of Damrius's boot. His leg bent slightly at the force, which was good, meaning that he wouldn't break his knee. He pushed back, though, with as much force as he could. As he did so, he tried to move his sword arm to strike at Ryugi, but found that it wasn't moving.
Oh... well... That's not good.
With a hesitant grin, he looked at Ryugi.

That was a good move on his pupil's part, making a good use of his equipment, but as Dame pushed off with his foot, Ryugi used the momentum added to his blade to swing it back around and aim another sword strike towards the rear of Dame's kicking leg, hoping to hit him in the calf, thigh, or knee, whichever he could hit in time. The strike would act much like the earlier strike, aiming to disable or impair Dame's ability to wage combat.

As Ryugi's sword left Damrius foot, he pulled his leg down, and used his right leg to push him back on the grass. This would happen just as Ryugi's sword would pass over Damrius's leg, clipping his leg guard, and sending him rolling. His sword was left over where his stunned arm had been laying. That was never a good sign, but Damrius could get it back easily enough.
shot up as he rolled, his leg hurting, and felt a bruise form on his knee. He stood on it, relying more on his right leg, and prepared himself for hand to hand.

Ryugi moved over to where Dame had dropped his sword and quickly picked up the blade...before tossing it to him handle first.
I'd like to continue to test your swordsmanship abilities. But this time... We'll try something completely different.
As he spoke, he sheathed Sol Blade, and gripped the handle of Ragnarok. Ryugi had seen that Dame's swordsmanship was quite satisfactory against a sword of roughly equal size, weight, speed, and power. But he wanted to see how he did with a sword that was much larger, heavier, and a bit slower...

Damrius reached out for his swrod, catching it, and twisting it in his hand so that it was upright. HIs arm had gained almost all of it's feeling back, and the bruise on his leg was no longer bothering him.
He always liked fighting people without big swords, mostly because he stood a chance then. But now, he didn't really have much choice.
He stood there, sword at the ready, both hands on the hilt, and waiting for Ryugi to attack.

For this round, I'll allow basic sword techniques, but nothing magically assisted...
Ryugi would then dash forward, Ragnarok on his shoulder, before quickly moving towards Dame and slashing diagonally down from right to left, aiming to hit Dame's left arm with the tip of the sword for more bludgeoning damage than cutting damage. He didn't want to make anyone loose any limbs...

Damrius waited untill teh slash started, and then brought his sword up to catch Ryugi's blade properly, and with motions that would follow the blade, giving him a lift off the ground, he set one foot on the blade, and pushed off, which would help force Ryugi downward.
As he did this, he brought his other knee up towards Ryugi's face, attempting to knock him back. It would hurt, probably brake a nose.
After all, it would be well deserved after as many times as Damrius had had his broken.

As Ryugi saw Dame parry the attack, he was already thinking ahead. Man, he hadn't used this tactic in ages. As Dame went up, Ryugi went down, or rather, crouched down low UNDER Ragnarok, the width of the sword itself protecting him from most types of attacks. As he slipped under the weapon, he spun around so he was facing outward as Dame would fly over him, and get ready to land on the other side...

Damrius twisted in the air, and landed with a thud. With that, he charged foreward, and lashed out with his sword, going for a side slash.

Damrius Damrius twisted in the air... (10) [12] And would quickly be met by a downward overhead sword strike from the rising Ryugi, who had pulled the sword out of the ground from his first strike, and moved to slam the blade into Damrius, which would also slam him into the ground under the weight and power of the strike. At the close range, Ragnarok wouldn't have much cutting power, but just to be safe, Ryugi turned the blade at the last minute so the flat end of the weapon would pile into Dame, instead of the sharpened edge.

By the time the sword would start coming at Damrius, he would have fully twisted, and was about to land. But, to put some extra distance between them, he lashed out with his blade, and shoved the tip into the flat of Ragnarok, and let the momentum push him away. However, when he landed, his arm was jolted, shaking it up a little bit, and causing him to stagger on his landing.

Ragnarok hit dirt, but Ryugi was ready. He jerked the sword back, pulling it free, and spun the blade around as he moved backwards, using the pulling force to accelerate the weapon into motion, before he'd spin back around with a follow up step to close the distance and aim a low slash at Dame's thigh, just above his knees. If timed correctly, it would strike JUST as Dame was recovering from the stagger of his landing. And with Ragnarok's superior range, it would be difficult for Dame to mount a significant counter attack by the time hit legs would be hit by the smashing power of the blade. Ryugi would still not use the cutting edge.

And ryugi had predicted right. But, as he came in for the attack, Damrius did a backwards summersault, and rolled onto his feet. He felt the very tip of the sword cut open the back of his coat, and felt the cool touch of the blade on his skin, but for less then a second.
he drew up his sword, and readied it, his right hand on the top of the hilt, his left on the pommel. He had the tip pointed at Ryugi, and he was breathing heavily. This was proving to be tougher than he thought.

He felt the very tip of the sword cut open the back of his coat, and felt the cool touch of the blade on his skin, but for less then a second.... (10) [12] Damrius would flip backwards as he evaded Ryugi's sword strike, but now was the time for Ryugi to showcase two of his largest stats. Strength and endurance. As he swung the blade low, and saw that it was going to miss, he immediately moved his body to twist and compensate for the weight of the sword, the twisting muscles and tendons acting like springs to store the energy of the sword. Then, as the sword came to a halt at his right, he unleashed that energy and added more power to the swing to compensate for the energy lost in slowing the weapon. As the sword shot forward, Ryugi would advance on Dame with the attack being aimed a little higher this time, aiming to strike as Dame would be coming up from his somersault, this time aiming for his side with the front half of the weapon. Hopefully some ribs would take the force from the sword this time as it swung in a horizontal, but slightly diagonal rising slash from right to left.
