"I did try." Lily shot back, looking up at him again. "I tried and it didn't work, and now I don't know what to do. If we go looking for him on foot, it could take months, maybe longer... what if it's too late by then?" she demanded, temper sparked. "We don't have that kind of time!"

"I suppose you have a better plan?" Guan asked, showing no reaction to her sudden outburst.

"Not yet." Lily answered quietly, looking down at the vial a moment before settling it back around her neck. "Not yet, but I will." she whispered, trembling. She really wasn't good at being strong without him, but... she had to try harder. She had too... standing, she sniffled one last time, then started back for the Muffin.

Guan waited a bit longer, gazing out towards the waterfall before heading back towards the Muffing after Lily.

*Torret kneeled at the edge of the water at the top of the fall, smilling in the darkness of the night as he looked down upon the angel he had been keeping in the caves for the last few weeks. First he had battled with him until the angel could no longer fight, never allowing him to flee or recover. When the angel was at the brink of his life, Torret managed to knock him unconcious, and cut off his wings. He had gotten the idea from the hunters around the area when he saw an angel become entirely demoralized and long for death after his wings were cut off. This was exactly what he wanted. He then planted his seed of darkness within the angel's life energy, and kept him alive and from killing himself until it began to consume him.*
*Tonight he had brought the angel out of the cave, away from the simple darkness into the living shadows of the world outside. The changes in the angel were spectacular, and only seemed to spread faster with this change of location, now that he wasnt cut off from the energy flows of the world. The moon's light especially seemed to affect the now fallen angel. His skin was a very dark tan color, and his hair had gone from pure white to a smokey black as he writhed in pain at the water's edge.*

*Torret moved back a step as the fallen angel reeled over onto his stomache and curled in on himself. A strange pulsing was occuring on the angel's back, near the shoulder blades where the stumpy remnants of his wings used to be. The air around him seemed to fill with the sense of corruption as black feathered wings errupted out of his back to replace his once shining wings. Slowly the fallen angel regained some of his composure and stopped siezing in convulsions of pain.*
*As he pushed himself up to his knees, Torret stepped up to fill his field of view.* "What name shall you use to strike fear into the hearts of those you wish to destroy?" *He asked with a broad smile across his face.*
"The will know me as Chane." *He responds, closing his eyes and tilting his head back to feel the light of the moon on his face.*
"Come with me then, my brother. There is much for you to learn."

"I know. I’m alone now." She said softly looking up at the sky in wonder, this was no test she just wasn't set. “If I try why bother giving away my enjoyment to others? The brain is a mastermind in this whole game why? Though I don't know, I know my own has given up. Why? Angel, you’ve done me no harm...” River spoke softly her dark eyes gazing at the almost lifeless clean body of the angel boy. "People will not remember you, you are nothing to them. Maybe I will though?" River questioned herself eyes scanning over him for a moment or more. “Time won't leave me, and I know you won't either." She said her fingers slowly running down his cheek. "I find myself so angry, so angry I can't see the world in anything but Red. This tint of rage will not leave me. “Rubbing her eyes her hand came slowly back to his soft skin. Having re-dressed the male in something cleaner. "...It doesn't seem fair does it? How your life was so ruthlessly taken away, what use did you have in this world? None, that's just it, I can't seem to get that away from me; because as long as I have lived. I've not a purpose to anything either." She reached to her chest and placed her hand on it, her head tilting to the side. "Must sound more then crazy hmm? I suppose Love is a useless emotion, you've seen what it does to people." Blinking slowly she let her gaze surface to the sky again, the sun would be up for a little while longer, she always had time. "It kills them slowly. The first thing to go is always logic, they forget who they are. And in order to gain that strength they had before, they must pull back old things. You can not erase the past, and new love always finds a way of convincing your soul that." She murmured softly, "The sun hits your face so beautifully, But I know gods mercy on you will not be one short of a sharp pain. He'll cut that away from you; Happiness. Warrior angels spite humans, for their ability to understand this emotion better then they can, being as smart as they are. Do you know why they do that? I don't understand Gods' motives either." Running her fingers into his clean hair she pulled him up and laid an ear to his chest. The beat still there, fading away but slowly. It would be at least another day of coma and suffering for his body then he'll, just slowly pass away. "Doesn't seem too fair does it? I'm living it takes more then ripping something off me to get me to die. Yet you lay here vulnerable to animal attacks, susceptible to Demons. They'll eat your soul the moment I leave if I do. So, I'll linger a little longer my friend." Sliding him up next to her she rubbed his cooling skin to keep it warm, fingers turning a small tint of blue. The holes in his back, covered ingeniously to keep his back flat and wingless. “Mock me not, does this seem fair to you!” She yelled at the bare trees, the raging waterfall mist was steadily getting them both wet. The water in the air keeping the temperature almost unbearably hot around them both It was so quiet though, you wouldn’t think there was a dying man next to a monster such as herself. Angry eyes set ahead of her, growling softly as she rubbed again to her Irritated eyes to keep them from crying themselves. “..I will stay but can you tell me your name? Please?” She asked him quietly placing two fingers to his forehead and closing her eyes. As careful as an angel was, Getting into their heads seemed to be easy if you had bodily contact. “….” After a moment of peaceful silence Rivers eyes slid open slowly a wrenching vex feeling tugging at her chest. “…It’s, such a small name for someone so strong...” She whispered to him blue hairs flowing with the sudden small breeze of cooling winds. Shivering her bandages where falling off her pretty much; the water soaking into them before actually getting to her skin this was easily ignored, she had a shirt it would do grandly if she needed to use it. “I just, can’t believe I feel into such an obvious trap, just like you did. I can’t believe I led myself to believe that just because Humans can naturally feel something like that I can too! It was foolish and stupid and shows how much outside influence can affect you. People around me there find love so easily; it does not make sense to me how a creature that seems to be so selfish can share a life with someone they only hardly know. It goes to show how unpredictable these humans are capable of being...” Looking up the suns rays reached her face, warming her skin up very graciously. What would she do now? She had no where to go but back, and back never seemed like a good idea. Not even the first time, though running seems so, in itself, cowardly. Stroking the smooth dampened hairs she relaxed against the tree behind her, letting her eyes slide closed to rest her mind, her body and possibly the soul she seemed to posses.

Sinking low her back flexing as she moved, her eyes scanned there surroundings. The water or mist affect was taking it's toll on her,. Shivering slightly she shifted, his heart was slowly, giving out and the night was approching so quickly. A hand rubbing his hair softly her dark eyes giving off the effect of nothing, like her face had no eyes or something. Of course she was unaware of this as she shifted. "I wonder how Daniel is, and Tomo, and lily..." She said blinking down at the boy. "...."

River seemed to have wandered back towards the waterfall. The rushing noise thundering around her, a smile on her face. There he was, she didn't know if he was still alive, she didn't...no she couldn't say she didn't care about him. Even just a little. Sighing softly she walked towards him and kneeled down, pressing two fingers on his wrist, furrowing her brow. "Angel?" She questioned in a low soft tone waiting. The male moved. He moved. Her heart raced as she shook him a bit, smiling. "Angel, angel you are alive?"

He just moved again, no other movement, he was just shifting. Swallowing her eyes scanned him for a little while, sighing as she slid down to sit next to him again. "You don't know compassion when you feel it huh? Doesn't suprise me." She murmured sharply. A small gurggling noise erupt from his throat, it was just there, just there. He could be drowning on blood, or on bodily fluids, or he could be groaning, or he could just be dying faster. Lowering her ear to his cheast she listened, and waited, Nothing sounded wrong, his lungs rose and fell correctly, his heart was starting to beat harder, like it was trying harder to survive. Closing her eyes she waited, there was a flutter then it beat, extremely fast, so suddenly. Furrowing a brow she went to move, but froze, a hand was on her shoulder, it was weakly pushing her away. Was this just the brain responding to unwanted contact? Sitting upright suddenly she blinked staring at him, his eyes where closed, his hand slid away from her. Silence, nothing. "Blasted. And I thought he was going to wake up for his last moments."

"Guess not." She murmured cursing to herself as she watched him sleep/die next to her. It was quiet, And she was lonely. "If only you would answer me, talk to me. I'm sure I won't hate you." She grumbled resting her head on her knees.

A dark angel was looking at her with a stunned face, his light blue eyes glowing. His hair was all black and long and his clothes tattered. He was pale but his wings were still white. When he saw the angel die he tried moving away, but ended up melting in darkness.

Not hearing anything River sighed stroking the small boys face, he was gone, or fading fast. She could feel him dying, and was ready to feed so he didn't go to waste. "If only I had someone like you." She said dark eyes scanning the water fall area once over. " If God is there, I bed you to atleast let him live happily in the after life. Its not fair to condem something that has not done a damn thing." She spoke softly, glaring at the sky. "..Pift, Then again the wishes of a monster never seemed important." Shifting her fingers played with his blue hair, her body so relaxed in the moment of peace, not rejection.

"Silent, but so kind to me, even if you are....dying you could of pushed me away with that little magic trick of yours. and you didn't I am greatful..But I can't save you If I could I would.." She said softly to him her arms snaking around his body in a soft hug. Her eyes open and listening, for something, she felt wrong even if there was no one around she wanted to conferm it. Nothing, not a sound not movement. She sighed and let go of the boy. "Well, Might as well talk to you. I am alone here..Well besides you that is,"

"Hm, you know when I first met an angel, I hated it on sight, only because it hated me on sight. I never thought I would come to hate them. It only took one moment, one moment three hundred years ago, to get me to hate the jerks, they call me a heathen." Crossing her legs she leaned back against the tree behind her, sighing loss of words. She just gazed at him, his heart beat, giving it's one last push, she could hear it in her head. thu-thump, Then there was a long pause then Thu-thump; Silence. An everlasting Silence in her head, eyes wide in realization of what just happened in the few seconds. "....Good bye.." She said softly gazing at him in thought, his skin was so soft, he looked so peaceful. Atleast he wasn't mangled when he died.
