No name really jumped out at me, so I looked through my listing of G1 names, and Powertrain seemed to fit.

I have no problem calling him "Metroplex". 'tis a simple matter of re-envisioning WHY he's called Metroplex. So he builds monster cities instead of BEING one. Doesn't bother me that much.
Although they COULD have made the giant scoop mode an alt. mode and made him convertible into a city instead of his "Battle mode". Or his "Work mode". Although his work mode looks more like his original mode anyway.
Oh, by the way, I got Metroplex. cool

It's all a matter of taste . . . perhaps I am being to nerdy for not seeing him as a worthy successor of Metroplex. sweatdrop

Well, if all else fails, you could always call him "Build King".

I got a bootleg mini lio kaiser. The darn thing switched Hellbat for some no name robot that doesn't even match arm length with GuyHawk. Argh... Other than that and a little paint job, it's great.

Well, just got my Cybertron Soundwave . . . and other than a difficulty with price, it is nice. The wings make his robot mode a tad awkward, but imho it is a worthy successor to the name. 3nodding

Recca Hino Kira Yui Today I got Primus, and the Legends of Cybertron Jetfire and Vector Prime. With or without Unicron head? Without. I figure, I'll open this one and if I find the one with the Unicron head, I'll keep that one packaged.

Just got Lugnutz and I have to say, his robot mode looks a lot better in person than pictures show. He's a great little guy, he reminds me (in a good way) of the Machine Robo/Gobots aesthetic.

Nice analogy . . . for me, however, it is an odd tradeoff. Most TFs with a problem seem to have it in the vehicle mode. Lugnutz, however, seems awkward with his robot mode. The motorcycle is wonderfully molded, even Dutch seems to meld right in. The robot mode, however, is a bit odd. The top-heaviness of the toy makes it a bit twitchy in balance, and the motorcycle's front wheel has nowhere to go, adding to the balance situation.
A wonderful toy, don't get me wrong, but not without it's faults.

True, he's far from perfect. In anything bigger that design would be unforgivable, but as a basic/scout he's a nice figure. The unbelievably awesome alt mode more than makes up for the few faults in the 'bot mode. Anyone else who may be up in the air about Lugnutz, consider that he may even be a subtle homage to THIS. (Warning, link contains language, Jack Black, a talking motorcycle, more language, etc.) And even if it's not an intentional homage, it's close enough to give me a grin. cool
