"Kitch. It's nice to meet you! Thank you so much for helping me find my crayons!"
Sribblez smiled wide and patted his shoulder, "Come and find me again if you're looking for a friend to play with, or you could color with me too."
She turned toward home, "Goodbye Kitch!" and with that, she bounded off.
((Okay hun, we'll RP again sometime =^_^= 'night!))

((Sorry about the delay))
Cora looked down at the notebook she had been trying to write in only moments ago and was suddenly very thankful for her lack of inspiration. It's not that she didn't think she wrote well... she was just nervous of what others may think of her writing. "I was... trying to write a new song." She paused for a moment to smile. "But I haven't really been able to write anything lately." After explaining what she had been doing she look at Eggie curiously. "What were you doing?" She asked quietly, not wanting to sound like she was nosey or anything.

((No problem hun))
"Well I was looking at the birdies of course! He was up the in tree, chirp-chirp-chirping away. I asked him to sing, but you sang instead! How delightful for me, how special today!"
Eggie grinned wide. And then...as if a sudden ping went through his strange little mind, his look suddenly softed, his voice changed, his smiled turned a little sultry.
"And your song was just so beautiful...I had to come and meet the person who was singing. What will your new song be about?" He seemed genuinely interested, pointing to the tablet that she'd left splattered with dots.
No...Eggie wasn't all there in the head...but every now and then his sanity returned in little bursts, and he was simply charming.

Cora blushed lightly when he called her song beautiful but she couldn't help the look of confusion at his sudden change. She looked down at her notebook again. What was her song about? She didn't even really know so it took her a minute to think. There was only one thing her songs had in common. "The changing of tide... in the ocean." She looked back up at him with a smile. She had never seen the ocean but she saw pictures in books and she had instantly loved it. She even had a cd with just it's sound. It was peaceful and had it's own unique rythm that she couldn't help but be lured in by it. She didn't like water. No, she just like the sound of the ocean. "The ocean's so beautiful." Her smile became wider and brighter just talking about it.

"Yes...I went to the ocean once. It's the most beautiful place one could ever be...so lovely, yet bold. It sounds so wonderful," Eggi turned up her chin slightly, "like you..."
His grin widened slightly as he went on, "and you can..." then he blinked. What had he been talking about? Oh yes, yes, he rememberd. The ocean! Oh he loved the ocean, "You can swim! Swim with the fishies and the sea-snails!"
And with that, Eggie was his old self again.

Cora blushed at what he had said and smiled when he returned to his old self. He really was unique, and although he said, in his moment of sanity, that she was like the ocean she couldn't help compare him to it. She looked at him for a moment after he returned to his former self and couldn't help but laughing softly. "You're very odd." She said, smiling brightly and speaking slightly louder then she would have had she not been laughing.

"Eggie knows, he is told. But odd is only in the eye of the birdie! Er...something."
He grinned sheepishly and twiddled his thumbs.
"Will Cora the singing friend sing Eggie another song?"

"Do you... like birds?" Cora asked softly before looking down at the ground. She wasn't really very good at singing in front of people. Granted she wasn't as shy as she used to be, she was still shy around others, especially those she just met. Looking back up after only a moment she smiled. She didn't think he would judge her, whether she was good or not. So, nodding and saying a soft "alright," she started to sing a soft tune.

Eggie smiled and closed his eyes, listening to the song. His body swayed slightly as he listened. It was a beautiful song. Sometimes Eggie wanted to express what he felt but he wasn't always able to find the right words (unless of course he'd suddenly snapped back into sanity). He wishe he could tell this girl that he thought her voice sounded like that of an angel, but he didn't know the words. He wished he could tell her that he'd never heard or seen a more beautiful singer, but he didn't know how to phrase it. Istead, when she was done, he did the best he could.
"Eggie shall answer your question. I love birdies! You are like a birdie."

Cora smiled. She really didn't know what to say about that so she just smiled and said, "Thank you." Then a little more heistantly she asked, "What... did you think?" It was a song she had started to make up right on the spot, so she didn't even know how well the song had ended up being.

"Oh it was great, it was wonderful, it was--"
Eggie blinked a moment, and then smiled. His face softened a little, his posture straightened, and he bounced around less.
"It was a song written by a woman who must have been sent by the gods themselves," Eggie took Cora's hand gently and gave it a gentlemanly kiss, "Anyone should feel honored to listen to your beautiful songs."

Cora blushed lightly again but smiled. "I-um... thank you." She tilted her head and glanced down at the hand he had kissed. She couldn't help but wonder what he was going to say before he suddenly changed because she didn't think that was what he would have said had he remained unchanged, but she decided against asking. More quietly then before, she spoke again. "...But I wouldn't say that it was wonderful or anything like that. I sort of just made it up on the spot."

"Well," he offered her a charming smile, "then you are very talented, Cora. You should be proud of your gift. You seem so shy about it, so modest...but you don't even see how wonderful you really are."
Eggie's sudden changes sometimes lasted only a very short time, and sometimes a very long time, but his thoughts and feelings seemed hardly to change. He liked what he liked, and he liked Cora and her beautiful songs.

Cora's blush deepened but she couldn't help but smile. She really didn't know what to say so she just nodded and said, "Thank you... I've never really let anyone hear me sing... at least not often. So..." She stopped then to pause and look at the ground, all the while the blush on her face remaining. "I'm glad you thought it was good." She looked up again to meet his eyes and offered him her best smile.

He smiled back at her, more reassuringly than anything.
"Then I'm more than honored, Cora the Singing Friend."
And that was that. Eggie was..well...Eggie again, at least the Eggie he had been when Cora had first met him. He pointed at her song book with a silly grin.
"Cora should write many more songs and sing them. Cora would be so good at it, and Cora could start and all-bird and one Cora the Singing Friend band! A band like when we were in the forest, oh the forest and all its songs...."
