Newt jumped in alarm with a startled ribbit and clutched the bag to his chest, "Ah... ah... M-m-muh-mr.... ah.. er... S-sid, I ah... finished your typewriter!" He chirped. Hopefully it was alright. It had to be alright. It was just a little bump or three! He did have a tube of superglue in his pocket.

"Oh." Sid stepped back, opening the door to allow Newt in, and the sooner he got inside, the sooner he could shut the damn door. What the changes did to him just weren't fair, he wasn't even that hungover. "Just put it on the desk," he said. There was still a typewriter shaped space amongst the clutter.

Newt hopped inside carefully, peering into the bag as he crouched in front of the desk to make sure nothing was broken. To his horror, a piece of the side casing had indeed cracked off. He glanced over his shoulder, reaching around for the little tube of glue, "Er... S-sorry it t-took so long!"

"Nah, it's cool..." After closing the door he drifted over to the bed to retrieve Newt's payment in weed. He didn't even notice he was still messing with the typewriter.

Newt pursed his tongue between his lips in a thoughtfull manner- an old habit from when he had been human. Just a little more... and... there! He croaked, lifting the machine up and out of it's sack to place it on the pedistal, "N-now... I've n-never actually er... repaired a typewriter befor but... but it *should* work pr-properly! I m-mean..I tried it and it w-worked, but I th-think it r-ran out of ink or som-something- I found the er... ribbon, r-right? B-but it s-sort of ... got a l-little out of hand and ah... er... w-well... it sh-should *work* now... if you... ah... have more ribbon?" He swallowed guiltily. He hadn't realized what it was untill it was already too tangled and rinkled and ripped to be saveable.

"Uh... Somewhere." Sid laid the small baggy of weed aside and rummaged through the papers piled on the desk. One toppled to the floor in the process, but he didn't seem to care. "There we go." He held up a small can, at first glance it might look like it was shoe polish. "I've got the rest in a bag somewhere."
He immediately went to work putting it through, not seeming to care much about the jury-rgging, he was just happy to have the typewriter back in one piece. When he was done, his fingers only slightly inky for it, he gestured to the bag. "Is that gonna be enough?"

Newt glanced over at the payment, his throat expanding nerviously. He had forgotten about his moment of boldness. "Y-you... ah... you s-sure? I m-mean... I... w-wouldn't want to... um... inconvenience you or..."

"Don't worry about it," Sid said, waving away Newt's attempt to be polite. "Least I could do. You deserve it."
He almost said 'you need it', but somehow he managed to be tactful.

"Just roll 'em, cause I don't have a bong. I could give you some I already rolled if you'd prefer."

"Right."
Sid unceremoniously took the bag away and went back to the bed. A moment later and he returned with one with slightly different contents. "There you go. For your convenience." He glanced to his desk and the mess of papers on top and around it. "Now, uh... if you don't mind? I should try and get to work."

"Oh, y-yes, of course!" Newt sagged, having hoped to have spent some time with the older man, but he didn't want to get in the way. "W-well... if... if there's anything else you'd like or n-need... um... y-you know where to ask!"

"Of course," Sid kept staring at the typewriter, but he had no idea where to begin. Getting a sheet of paper might be a start. "Thanks again."

"Ah... n-n-no... n-no trouble at all!" Newt gave him a nervious smile, fidgeting a moment with the baggy of joints clutched in a hand befor he hopped out the door befor he interupted further.
