Bertram faded into sight just behind Midori, in full wraith form. This... cat... bothering you, mistress Midori...? he asked in an icy voice, giving the neko a condescending glance. If so, I know a very hungry vampire...

fei_yin Hissing under her breath to cover the sudden choking thickness in her throat, Ryoko walked out of the hall, her usual grace marred with a barely discernable jerkiness--a sure sign she was troubled. Her room. She needed to go to her room and think and just... A shadow intersposed itself in her path and she stopped short, her grief immediately freezing into a cold scorn as she pulled up to eye the intruder. She was Feral, and if she had to be weak, she would be as cats would be and hide herself in darkness until she was well enough to be herself. Midori, she thought. The bat-girl...person...that was what her sister had called her. She studied the girl with glacial detachment, careful to see that her features were set into their usual uninviting coolness. "What do you want?" she asked icily. Well, it wasn't a smart move, but the first thing that would slip out of Midori's mouth.. Well, it shoiuld have stayed as a thought. "If you keep looking like that, you're going to make yourself look old soon." The younger female would state in a matter of factly tone, before going about what business she had with Ryoko. She would walk right on by Ryoko, attempting to grab her by the wrist and drag her along. "I want to talk to you about some things." And that is where Midori would leave it. She wouldn't go very far into detail, fearing that the feline she was attempting to speak maturly with would flee. Continuing with her friendly act, Midori would turn her head smiling lightly. "Want something to drink?" Ah, yes.. First things first! Make Ryoko feel comfortable, so she would be easy to talk with. Awaiting an answer, she would give Bertram a glare of her own. She should learn to mind her own business! "Mind your own. Go play with Duelist or something."

The wraith rapidly took full human form, pulling the roses out again. "Um... I would love to go see what my master is doing..." he started, "but... I picked these roses for you and I'm afraid he'd try to hurt me..." 'Stupid dog must have lied to me. But... I thought all girls liked roses...'

((*twitch*))
A loud noise resounded from upstairs. It was somewhat similar to the amplified ripping of cloth. But, of course, it wasn't. Soon after an odd sounds was heard, an automatonic whirr, and a sharp, shrill screech. An unearthly sharp screech.

The vampiric assassin looked up, hearing the sound. "What the hell was that?" He asked, already seriously disgruntled.
((Apparently they did. They better have...))

Slayer the Fallen *The hunter could only stare at Mimi. Then smiling softly, he gently placed his hand against her cheek, stroking it soothingly.* So what if you do not possess certain qualities, Miss Kusanagi? What you lack in certain areas, you more than make up for in others. It does not make you any less of a person. In fact, I see you as a better person simply because you choose to live life how you want, despite the pressures put onto you.*Sirus gave a slight pause, not knowing what else to say. Sighing, he did the only thing he could do, he spoke from his heart.* I'm sure deep down, Miss Kusanagi, that your sister cares deeply for you. She's trying her best to express that, even if it's not apparant.-At the touch, she half-cringed and trembled. Never before had she been treated in such a way. In her Pride, physical contact was best kept to a minimum and usually in combat. It was part of the reason she'd surprised herself the night she'd given Sirus that embrace. She listened to his words in silence, her fangs biting into her bottom lip as a reminder not to cry. But at the last words he gave her, Mimi was unable to bear it any longer. Without thinking, she gave him yet another embrace, her face burying itself on his chest as a faint sob racked her poor being. - I know... I know.... but doesn't she see that protecting me is only putting her in danger as well?

Duellist The wraith rapidly took full human form, pulling the roses out again. "Um... I would love to go see what my master is doing..." he started, "but... I picked these roses for you and I'm afraid he'd try to hurt me..." 'Stupid dog must have lied to me. But... I thought all girls liked roses...' Just when she thought she was rid of the stupid wraith, he would speak yet again. Midori would put her back to Bertram, rubbing her eyes for a moment with a single hand. Finally, her hands would fall onto her hips as she whirlled around to face him. "Can't you see i'm not interested!?" Yes, yes.. Bertram was handsome and all. Midori would admit that, but there was no attraction. "Go stalk someone else, or else I'll be forced to get rid of you the only way I know how!" She shouldn't have had to clear up how exactly she would get rid of Bertram.. The scythe on her back said it all. with that put aside, her ears would give a small twitch, before 'turning' in the direction of a strange sound. Something from.. Upstairs? tearing? Midori would roll her eyes. She didn't need this much trouble.. as is she'd probably have gray hairs the next day!

((Bertram has a scythe of his own, though. And I don't think slashing at him would work... you know, what with the ability to become porous at will?))
The wraith looked depressed, but then, suddenly, he leaned forward and kissed Midori, tilting her head upwards slightly with a hand (and making use of his freezing touch so she wouldn't be able to pull away). Sparks flashed behind his eyes, and then...
then he felt himself being lifted up physically by a very. Very. Very. Angry vampire. "This little theif bothering you, Midori?" Duellist growled.
