"That's neat! So Riverview is like venice, huh?" Hikaro asked, taking the time to slow his hyper metabolism to a respectable pace. "I'll be sure to send note before I drop in, we've had a few unexpected visitors as well." He admitted, dropping a hand into his pocket. Ryo had really grown since their last encounter, he was a strapping man, now.

Haku was staring at Natu, drawing the infinity mark in his notebook and writing furiously. The gears were clicking in his head madly, as always.

Natu wondered what Haku was doing. He grabbed a piece of chalk and wrote, "What are you doing?" on his chalkboard and held it up.
"Yeah, exactly like, in some places....So what have you been doing around here?"
Takato grumbled. Since no one else wanted to talk to him, he might as well try to practice flying again. He got a running start, jumped, spread his wings, and glided to the ground.

Hikaro nodded, "That's pretty neat. Haku's shown me pictures of what Venice looks like, but I've never seen it in person." he said, before thinking of his response to Ryo's question,
"I've grown up here, I'm looking to see if there are any places for sale, I'd rather not leave the area, if I can avoid it." He explained quickly, averting his eyes to his younger sibling. The blue and green hououza had spotted Takato trying to fly and was madly scribbling again. Something about the physics behind flight and such like.

Natu's sign was suddenly in his face, and Haku blinked at it. He held up his note book, the notes all encrypted somewhat, as Jack instructed him to do. "I'm just writing thoughts and such like." He said, smiling.

Natu nodded. He'd be able to decipher them, if he had enough time, but he let Hake move on. He erased what he had with his sleeve. It was already covered in chalkdust, but he didn't mind, but he couldn't find an eraser anywhere in Riverview. They didn't allow minors to buy these kinds of products.

Ryo's head turned to the sky. He looked around for a moment, before turning his head back to Hikaro. Everett, how long does it take to find Raven? Ryo thought.
"Sometimes, fate wills us to go to places where we don't want to go. You can try to look for a way back, but sometimes, you're just trapped. I'm glad I'll be able to stay here for a few days, I've missed it here"

"We're glad you're here. You know, you're always welcome to stay at our house, if you ever need to. We've got more than enough room, plus, I'm sure Raissen would be glad to see you." Hikao said, peering over to ensure Haku wasn't causing any trouble.

Said Hououza was looking at Natu again, "Why don't you just use a bit of cloth, like a handkerchief or face towel?" He inquired, noting the abundance of white powder on the small Hououza's clothes.

Natu wrote more on the blackboard and held it up. "Because I forgot my bag that I keep this in at home. I keep a good cloth and a good amount of chalk in it." Ryo shook his head. Natu was forgetting something each and every time they went somewhere. Sometimes it was his board, other times it was some chalk, but usually it was his bag. He hated it when Natu forgot either his board or chalk because he had to resort to sign language then, and it was a headache for everyone else to understand.
"Sounds good."
Ryo's eyes darted up to the sky, where he saw a brown dot in the sky.

Hikaro's gaze followed Ryo's up into the sky, to a familiar brown dot streaking long the clouds. Hikaro's large golden wings trembled with the desire to join the dot, but he stood still, patient.
Haku nodded in understanding, "Why then don't you write the things you need on your board before you go to bed, or something? You don't leave EVERYTHING do you?" He asked, not trying to sound mean or anything of the like, just trying to find a solution.

Natu wrote down a response and held it up. "Haven't really tried writing it down, but I have left it by the door, hoping that I'll see it on the way down."

Dulcea
Shiro smiled, drawing her knees up to her chest, "My name's Shiro." She tried to think of something to say, "That was a nice song." It wasn't exactly a brilliant compliment, but she thought it would spark a conversation well enough.

Kara managed to smile back. For the longest time, it was all she could really do - just give Shiro a stupid smile. "I'm Kara. It's really nice to meet you, Shiro. And thank you. I don't sing much."

Haku put away his book and pulled out his flute. Playing it was a trick he'd learned to help himself relax when he became too full of anxiety, usually over becoming frantic about notes and research. Before he started to play, he peered at Natu "Hang it on the doorknob with a list of the stuff you'll need, because you can't forget it when it's on the door." He said, before piping off an airy melody, well practiced vibrado giving it a quiver to the voice, much like a singer's.

Hikaro soon was humming along to it. With all that they practiced together, each knew the others' songs by heart. That was really how they made money, performing gigs and such like, though with only a floutist and singer, it was fairly small and unknown still.

For some odd reason, the small water nymph also began to hum along, like he'd known it from an age-old time, yet he'd never heard it before. Takato's notes matched Hikaro's and Haku's to perfection, and Ryo was a bit amazed. Natu just shook his head and hit Ryo with his chalkboard. "You gotta understand, we're an old race. We don't know anything that happened to the feathers, how they got there, and why they were there in the first place," was written on the chalkboard.

Hearing Takato singing, Hikaro quickly dropped to melody, letting Haku and Takato shine through with the airy melody that drifted through the winds as easily as the hououza themselves did. A light and happy tune, it was obviously from a happier time long ago, before the insurrection, before any hououza had known life as a feather. Together they sang until eventually the song drew to a close, notes tapering off to a remarkably held out end.

Natu nodded. This was a song they all knew, but Takato was the one they wanted to sing. This was probably a song that was learned by all, some sort of joyous song, celebrating some special occasion.

Hikaro smiled, that song always served to lift his spirits, no matter what kind of mood he was in, the emotion associated with the song was a deeply rooted within him as his instinct of flight. Looking up, Hikaro scanned the skies to see if Everett had flown any closer.

The Brown Owl had just landed on Ryo's shoulder. Ryo looked over to the owl.
"Sorry I am. Angered Raven, I did. Wanted to be left alone, he did."
Ryo thought a little bit. That didn't sound like Raven. Did he not want to see his friends anymore?
