You mean they thought that it would connect him to the good being, but it was the bad one? Ooo can we make it so that there are lots of these creatures instead of just one, or alternatively, that it is the minions of these stars (and one that he is linked to?) If you don't mind, I'll go with that last one and write something up on the creatures that you would be bonded to.
Tell me when you've edited your profile, because I'll likely not notice. If you want to leave some of the details out, to be worked out in RP, that's fine. When you tell me too, me or Roka will paste your profile into the first page.
We can start the thread about his father right away while we try to figure out how/whether/when to go ahead with the raid retreat and how to get you in there. Go ahead and start the thread about his past/father if you wish!

Ta-da! I was intentionally vague, so the "OMG I leik broked my son!" story won't have too many giveaways. I'll start it up ASAP, but now I'm going to sleep. Oh school, you insist on getting in the way of my education...

LOL, I'm on spring break.
Roka and I were just talking, and we're coming up with some major stuff to add to the RP...nothing that would change any one else's profile of course, but the tribes didnt really have a religion before and I think we've come up with a good way to incorporate these new beasts into a grander scheme of things
We're going to have
1) a creation myth
2) the varying beliefs of the three tribes
3) the myth of these creatures, one of which you are bonded to, and which will be related to 1&2 above
You won't need to know too much about the creatures until we get to that part in the past or he uses his powers in the present
If this interferes in any way with the way in which you had planned to start your thread, let me know and I'll offer up ideas or start it myself, whichever you prefer

Penden Ok, tell me if you like this suggestion. The spheres (there can be the five if you really want) can block magic. This still has to do with manipulating energies, but only the magic kind instead. They can block magic and redirect spells to other people (or off into the distance). You might pick one kind of spell (like fire spells) that your character is the most practiced at blocking/redirecting. For the psych part, I must admit that the reason the craziness bothers me is because I'm a psych major. Uh, can we say that using the spheres takes away his inhibitions, or increases his aggression ten fold...or something? OR you can be bonded to an evil creature and have their powers, but also be influenced by their mind, like with the dragons. Also, I'd love to help you embellish how the father discovered this. We can create a new thread to RP this part of his history. I'm thinking that the father got some clues from Anjts oral history (legends) and that's one reason he was willing to risk his son maybe, because (he thought) he had a good idea of what would happen. Also he might have tested it on animals first or something. Just some ideas! How to get you started... well we have at least one other person in the Anjts if I can...get them posting again. Hmn. tesunie is your brother ready to post? If we can get that thread moving, then we can get the retreating rebels to go back into the plains and meet with he Anjts. Gale can be one of the people waiting for them initially. Does this sound appealing to you, hm103 and every one else? Nathien has been ready and waiting, as far as I know.

Ok, thank you. I hate to leave people behind, but it has been a while since Amarathine posted and we've got to move on at some point regardless. I'll help her jump in again if she comes back later. We've now got a number of characters waiting on that thread so I'll move it along right quick.

By the by, about my post in the Anjt Tribe, the reaserch was ultimately fruitless. You can't mess with a dragon bond! Can't be done! Foolish burnt up researcher...

Nice! Looks great! I'll have to scan and post a picture of my dragon character. He isn't in this guild, but that doesn't mean anything! Right?
By the way, did you look at the D&D dragons for a reference? No I am not saying you copied, but it looks like one of the dragons from there, with differences of course. mrgreen
