Keila stepped off of the bus and towards the beach, still not seeing it from the road. There was a grin on her face as she looked back up onto the stairs. "Come on Kai!" she urged. "Ocean, ocean! Come ooonn!!" she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards blacktop road with a shimmer of excitement. "It's the ocean!" She finally let go of his hand and ran across the small patch of grass and into the sand, her backpack bouncing on her back. Keila could see the ocean now. The beautiful cresting of the blue sea crashing against the shore and waves being tossed against the sun making it glimmer. How it moved still intruiged her so. She stared out at the ocean with glimmering eyes as the breeze picked up her hair and tossed it behind her face. "Kai! It's the ocean!" she exclaimed again.

Following more slowly behind her after being half dragged. He smiles widely and his eyes seem to light up as he takes in the ocean. It had been a few years since he had seen one and it hadnt lost its beauty or elegance from the waves lapping on the shore to the beautiful waters. "Im coming, sheesh take your time its not like its gonna vanish in the next thirty seconds." he says smiling as he restrains himself from running around as well. He walks straight to the shore line kicking his shoes off just above the high tide mark. Walking slowly to the water he stops letting cool ocean air and water caress him like an old friend.
"So what do you wanna do now?" He says smiling as he turns around to face her.

Keila danced around and skipped after Kai as he made his way towards the sea, but she instead frolicked about while he went into the water. Looking up from staring at the sand, she plopped down onto the ground when hearing his question and began untying her boots. "I don't know.." she shrugged indecisively. Wiggling her toes in the sand, Keila shut her eyes and laid back into the warmth of the sinking ground with her arms spread out. Listening to the sound of the waves, she sat there for a moment before sitting up. "I know now!" Exclaimed she. "I wanna go swimming!" Then she was hurriedly pulling off her shirt, white bathing suit top underneath and finally kicked her cargo pants away and revealed the pair of white swimming trunks that had navy Hawaiian flowers painted on them. Keila skipped up to the water and stopped, face suddenly somewhat... scared. "Um... Kai?" she asked in an almost quavery voice. Looking down at the waves lashing about her feet, she wiggled her toes which were buried under sand in a moments time.

Smiling he takes off his shirt and balls it up and beams it up to where his shoes are. Good thing he wore swim trunks today. His trunks were dark blue with a lighter blue design in it somewhat like fire and waves. He walks over and stands next to Keila. "Something wrong?" He says smiling down at her his dark blue hair slightly mussed from the wind and his dark aqua eyes sparkling as they catch the light.
"Is it to rough for you?" He asks as he raises an eyebrow slightly , asking not to mean but just incase. "because if it is I can fix that" he smiles.

"No, the water's fine.. I'm just.. Um..." she looked up to him, one eye closed due to the sun. "It's just... that.." Keila tried to work the words into her mouth. "I .. can't.." She looked down at the water again and lifted her foot out of the muck and kicked at the sparkling water with a feeling of almost failure within herself. "I can't swim.." Came from her mouth in a quiet voice, barely heard over the distant call of a seagull out over the ocean. "I can't swim." she said louder this time, more confidently as to not make herself look like the little girl she was. "I just never learned. And.. I'm kind of afraid.. since I don't know how." She looked up at him again with a cheerful smile. "Think you can help me out?"

He smiles widely. "Oh swimming....its not as hard as you think" He smirks. "and I can definately help you...its a simple matter, but it isnt going to happen overnite alrite? you will have to practice in order to get better" He says waving a finger , he winks. "Lets start with the basics, this water is to rough to learn in for now...soo...lets set this up..." Kai holds his hands out twords the ocean, thumbs touching, then slowly he moves his hands around them until there was a ledge of ice around them in a radius of about a quater mile . He slowly builds up the ice until the waves lap gently over them keeping the small pool filled with water but not overly. "Now then lets start with the basics..." He says smiling widely as he moves into deeper water enjoying the briskness of it. "I want you to first watch what I do ok?" He moves to about shoulder height water and then moves his arms in a freestyle stroke. "Practice moving your arms in the water like this, dont just move like a windmill...move with grace, you raise one arm at a time and bring it ahead of you then cupping your hands slightly, you pull it to your side. Then do the same thing with the other arm alternating between them at a steady pace. You try , get into water that comes up to just below your shoulders." he says smiling as he moves twords the shallows a little more to keep an eye on her.

Keila looked out towards the ice shelves that Kai had made with a grin and sort of a feeling of guilt. He must've been practicing. And she really hadn't had much of any attempts at regaining her telepathy powers. She nodded slowly while listening to his words and tried to do some air stroking, thinking she was looking like an idiot. "Okay, I can do this!" she told herself quietly, stepping into the warm waters. Her toes curved up and ate the sand before spitting it out again and then Keila started to splash around, finally getting into water that was below her neck. She didn't mean to have gone that far out, but she was in the middle of a small sand bar. She inhaled a large bit of air and hopped off the ground eyes closed, putting her hands in front of her in a sort of cupped way, arms completely outstretched and bending, her face in the water. Her feet were floating down, down, down in the water though. After a moment, her face broke the surface and she propelled herself into deeper waters by accident. "Ow! My eyes!" Her feet searched for something to step onto but she was under the water again, self proclaimed. Trying to keep her mind from going frantic, she continued to let herself sink until she hit the sandy bottom and pushed up again, breaking the surface. Keila's eyes were being a major, burning, pain in the eyes whenever she opened them, and therefore she wasn't going to dare try to open them again. Getting her entire body up to the top of the water and floating with some support of her arms flailing after a moment to get her back up, she sighed. "Okay, you're definately right.. these things don't happen over night. But for now.. I think.. I'm going to need... a pair of goggles." She crossed her legs to make the floating easier and forced a laugh.

stare "I could of told you that silly" He smiles widely. "atleast you seem to have floating down well enough and good job on not freaking out, I would hate to have to pump water out of you on your first try." he says as he swims over lazily. "Ill stay close by so well...you can use me to get to the surface if you need to " he explains. Holding his hand just out of the water he pulls some of the water out with his hand and it stays formed around his hand. "alrite...this should work..." he says as he concentrates on the water around his hand..and the salt that was intermixed with it as well as any other impurities fall out into the water underneath his hand. "Now let me see your eyes..." he says as he holds his hand enveloped in newly purified water over her eyes. "Just blink a little and it should take some of the sting off as well as the burning." he says calmly.

"I've been working on floating for a long time.. I finally got most of it down the other day.." she sighed and tried to let her eyes open in a squint. With her eyes still stinging, some of the water intermixed with the salt water in her eyes, making it blurry, but better painwise. Keila still floated on her back and blinked up at the sky and finally shook her head and rolled her head over, the sun starting to bother her. "Thanks," Keila said sheepishly before moving over and wrapping an arm around his neck. "And you make a very nice floatie, by the way." she giggled and pushed away from him towards deeper waters in an attempt to get herself treading. Lots saltwater churned beneath her, but her chin was soon enveloped in the stinging stuff. "Do you think.. that treading water is alot like floating?" she tested this out by moving her arms up and down in the water and found that it worked. Yes! Dude, I'm like.. swimming! Keila started moving around in a circular pattern in delight. "Lookit me!" She squealed. "Lookit me! I'm swimmin'!"

He smiles. "glad im useful" he says jokingly. "Yes I suppose it is" he says in response to her about treading water. "Your doing really well, you catch on fast" he says smiling enjoying the time in the water. "I think im going to have some fun now." He says as he places his palms flat on the water before him and then as if the water was solid underneath his hands he lifts himself out of the water into a hand stand water dripping down him in little streams. He smirks and then the water seems to just stop being solid and he dives beneath its salty surface. He comes up by Keila. "So are you ready for the next trial? "he asks smiling.

Watching him with fascination, Keila grinned and didn't acknowlege(sp....) the fact that she was tired already. She stopped swimming in her circles and continued to just sit and tread. "Okay. What next?" Going a little more below water than she'd've liked, she propelled her neck and shoulders out of the water and finally started breathing right again. "After this... do you think we should take a break? I'm hungry.." she lied. Keila was hungry.. but it wasn't hungry worth mentioning.

Noting her movements in the water he reconsiders moving forward. "We should take a break now, we dont want to over strain yourself, as is you are definately going to feel it in the morning." he says smirking. "you can either tread yourself to shore, or you can hold onto me..or you could always body surf" he says looking slightly mischievious.
"Its up to you bu regardless we should take a break" he says as he waits for her answer.

(( Damn. This is going to be a short one... let's lather it up! xd ))
Oh-kay... what's body surfing? And how in the world would you do it...? She looked with empty eyes for a moment while she pondered this and shook her head, turning her gaze onto the water as she looked down in it. "I'll body surf? That sounds the most- Oh! Look! It's a fishie!" Keila exclaimed, pointing down at a cloud of little, teeny, tiny, silver fishes moving down the shoreline. "I lied. LOTs of fishies!" she looked around at them, spinning in circles. "Wow.. they're so shiny..."
(( See? Lather! ^w^ ))
