Sqwee! : D August's White Dwarf hath arrived in that thar mail system thingamajiggy. Much reading will be had!
Edit: Not bad. Not bad at all. ^_^
I especially liked how most of the Sisters' described battles ended in victory, and the one that didn't was limited to a single sentence. ^_^

It's a good issue, if you like Fantasy.

Lt. Brookman It's a good issue, if you like Fantasy. I have awoken from a particularly good dream involving two Sisters of Battle. TWINS, they were. Prepare to be cleansed.

I'm going to have to agree that it was mostly a Fantasy issue aimed at both further pushing Storm of Magic and a shot at Chapter Approving certain Vampire Count models.

And next issue will have an actual army list with point values, so best save some of that cheer for next month. wink

Ya know, I might spend the 10 bucks and get September's WD when it comes out in-store, instead of waiting like 2 weeks to get it in the mail. Cause last month, I got it at the very end of when they estimated it should arrive. Hell, I think 10 bucks is worth a couple extra weeks with the new dex. ^_^
Which brings to mind, when does WD come out in stores?

Lt. Brookman First of the month thanks to GW's new policy. talk2hand Cool. ^_^ I picked it up at my FLGS last night. ^_^ Made a 1,500 point list that would require the purchase of only 11 models I don't already have. : D 10 Death-Cult Assassins, and Uriah Jacobus. Should run me about 125-130 dollars including taxes, but I'm also gonna tack on an Exorcist to that order, just cause I like the mini. ^_^ Edit: We're gonna find out just how tough those Honor Guard really are, once they stop picking on helpless Battle Sister and Retributor Squads and start fighting for real. MWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAA!!!!

They don't HAVE Rhinos! Edit: Hm, I should see if I can get my Penitent Engine in close with their Chapter Master... He's got a Lightning Claw! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! Sorry, I shouldn't be taking this much glee in the thought of slaughtering those Honor Guard. It's just that over the past 9 game turns I've played against them - consisting of one 7-turn game and the 2 turns of a game we never got to finish - they've butchered 30-40 Battle Sisters. I had a little revenge when I proxied a Chaos Daemons army, as all those Honor Guard died horribly to Daemonettes, a single Fiend, Seekers, and a Greater Daemon, over the course of about 3 game turns - not all the daemons were stuck in at the same time.

Cover, and LoS blocking terrain. Lots and LOTS of both. I didn't play perfectly, either. I still won that first game, though, because I controlled 2 objectives at the end and my opponent controlled 1.
