Jerhien yep, you're right Relkin. Before the eldar where a playable race there where only Eldar Pirates (DE All the way). The Dark Eldar are the "parent race" as you'll find if you search out a copy of the snd edition eldar codex. Indeed, I had already known that. But I think that we were talking about fluff. As it goes, if you want Meta-game, then the DE were the only race to begin with.

Sorry, just alluding to older fluff, not metagame. I've been playing for so long I'm still not accustomed to the way GW's changed it's storyline.

I understand, but you are right, they are the first race, not the splinter group. 3nodding

ok then, i will admitt that you obviously know more about the back story than me (and likely have been playing for a good time longer), but could you explain then this one part? as i understand it, the craftworld eldar (or most of them) broke off from the main race before things went to hell and in the end their world was destroyed. true, your could say that it was the craftworld eldar "splintering off" at that point, but then again there were no dark eldar at that point.
another thing that isn't matching up for me is that i thought the dark eldar were who they were because when their planet was destroyed they made a pact with Slaanesh, hence them being soulless and all. at this point im not so much trying to argue as i am trying to piece some storyline together.

would you agree then that the CE are "normal eldar" or at least similar or would you say that the CE now are almost completly different from the original eldar before the fall?

Godwryn What about eldar against Tau? My moneys on Eldar, they're almost as shooty as Tau, but have great specialized Close Combat units too.

All you need is some scorpians with infiltraters backed up by some rangers or a couple of wave serpents full of howling banshees (for those battle suit-heavy armies).

D-cannons, flamers, T8 S8, 3 wounds, and a 3+ save..... *gets dreamy eyes*
