((Naka did introduce herself... twice. She even asked for Travis' name. razz
Also... of course it's pine! She's a Snow shinobi. XD
Forgive my moding, but I would hate to be stuck too. *points towards Draco* I'll be more than happy to roll for Grapple and Listen if you'd like me to. 3nodding ))

Nakamura watched as the boy turned in quite a similar fashion to the way Hyousetsu did. He had similar eyes to Zenjin... and if it weren't for the way he looked now, she would have guessed he was raised in a similar fashion to herself. While she still preferred a clean look, this boy seemed rather gruff.

"I decided to move them to a safer location. With some of the Masters still being alive, I wanted to assure them that they couldn't be harmed. So, to answer where the villagers are... they are in Aisugakure." she stated with a matter-of-fact tone. She looked back over to where Felix was, and decided that this boy should take a swim in the Spring as well. She couldn't go around picking favorites... now could she?

Reaching for the boy with the golden eyes, she quickly took hold of his left hand and half-ran-half-dragged him to the water's edge. Her eyes glanced over to Felix; who was looking rather depressed; and gave him a pleasent nod. "Believe me, the Underwater Caverns are much more impressive... but I'd think new jutsu would be something you're looking for. Now, I personally don't know of any, but one of my bretheren knew some Raiton techniques... and I just so happen to know where he kept his scrolls."

Felix was watching Nakamura and Travis from his position, and seeing her take a hold of the other boy and drag him to the silver spring brought a smile to his face... which, as the scene ensued caused him to begin laughing after a moment. He let go of his knees and stood up from his position on the rock, walking over to stand closer beside Nakamura and Travis. He had to admit, seeing 'anybody' drag Travis around was quite impressive, and rather humorous to him.
Felix sighed faintly as she stopped at the edge of the spring with the other boy, he turned about suddenly hands cupping 'like so' manner, and his feet shifted into an 'L' stance.
Increased speed was his focus... so that he could train that body flicker technique, but also his close combat prowess could always use enhancing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...I think the spring is rather beautiful..." He spoke softly, not blatantly answering Nakamura's query about the underwater caverns being more impressive. He would be fine with just this though... especially under starlight... this made for a very magical scene, and he felt he could indeed call this place home with a sentimental value at the beauty of the spring itself. Something about the silver color perhaps... it was almost even like his color of blood, except the spring was of course, more water like, and less blood like...
Felix lifted his back foot, raising it and balancing on just his other foot while he held it there, cocked for a moment, before shifting his weight and slapping an imaginary enemy with it in a round house kick. Setting his foot back down, his feet resumed the 'L' stance, and his guard shifted from his left to his right.
(Bitching. He going to love that... porbably spend plenty of time in the woods. )
Travis followed the girl, slightly surprised. He had assumed everyone had died or something, but a evacuation made sense as well... though he would have though more ninja would have been left to secure the village...
He looked at the strange water, and glanced back at her questioningly. However he had another question before he asked about the water.. spring.. thing.
" What are these masters, that required the evacuation of a whole village? " He asked. He needed to know of a enemy was going to attack the village since he was going to be living in it.
((Draco, feel free to train Dex if we're going to slow))
When neither boy took notice of her offer for the scrolls, she simply guessed that their thoughts were on other things. Felix's; seeming to be on training; for the stance he moved into reminded her of a stength training excerise that Rasen used to force her to do many years ago. Is it strange that I haven't forgotten them...? She listened in stride to Felix's comment about the Spring. Little did they know that it almost killed her to perfect it's properties.
"Thank you. I'm just happy it can heal so drastically. I never expected it to work as well as it does..." her voice trailed off, and almost fell over in shock from the boy who had yet to introduce himself. I seriously hope he's joking... if he isn't.... then it's a good thing I brought them here. The Leaf Village must be short of intelligent teachers at the Academy. she thought to herself with an all-too-audible sigh.
"Please tell me you're joking... but if you're not... that would explain why you don't really know about me. Surely you knew of your repressor? It's only been two years." she asked in a slightly annoyed tone. Her head turned to Felix, with an almost pleading glance, giving him a look that screamed... is he kidding?
The Leaf must have forgotten to teach their history of the Fifth Dawn. Arya; I can't believe you didn't want retaliation for what they did to you. her eyes gave a roll, as if in response to her own inner monologue. If these two really were best friends like Felix made them out to be... Felix must have been the scholar of the group. Of course, she did meet him in the Leaf's library... which would explain a lot.
(I cant wait to stop having to post in Konoha....and i can start training here. Though i wouldn't mind finishing at the academy.)
Travis looked slightly confused at her. She seemed to think he should know of these.. masters... He frowned , as he did not like people assuming him stupid. Or ignorant. He glanced at Felix before answering.
" Two years ago i would have been 9 years of age. I knew little of the goings on in the village. I preferred to spend my time in the safe parts of the forest... away from people. " He said in defense of his lack of knowledge. Now he was mildly surprised she expected him to have heard of her. And in response to her mild annoyance, he tensed slightly, defensively.
He cracked his knuckles simply by closing his fists, then asked " So, why should i have heard of these... masters? " He asked again .
"...Oh, it actually heals?" Felix shot in a surprised tone at Nakamura's statement. He had actually not known that, but suspected based on the way it had restored his own body to a rested state. The spring itself had even made him 'stronger' he would go so far to say. As if pointing out and identifying his greater chakra skill and helping him to mold it within himself. It had helped him identify his own Raiton element and in the sense, gain a measure of control from it.
Felix continued his taijutsu training while he listened to Travis and Nakamura go back and forth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Felix twisted both of his feet to a front-facing position, changing his angle of attack with the simple footwork. The 'L' stance became a front stance within a second, setting him up for the multitude of forward techniques. Most front facing techniques involve moving forward, for the sake of power behind your strikes... if you did not shift your weight while fighting, then the power was taken out of your combat, you were no better than pushing off at the enemy unless you had a sharp weapon. For openhanded combat, foot work was essential. Though, that was not the main focus, because footwork is 'always' essential... if you could out perform your opponent in footwork, then it would often defeat speed, and even strength often times, even when using weapons.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Felix's front stance was perfect as he listened to Nakamura and Travis' conversation. They were speaking of the masters now... Travis had asked about them, which made sense. If Felix had not stumbled upon that 'specific' text in the library while he was reading from the book, then he himself would not know of them, or Nakamura. It was all rather ironic actually, how the pieces fit so closely and tightly together. If Felix hadn't known any better, he would probably suspect of being set up.
"...Actually, I myself, would not know of the masters... or of you, unless I hadn't stumbled upon that research by clear accident in my reading." Felix frowned, lowering his guard to turn and speak with Nakamura and Travis for a moment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...The fact that we are really just kids is no reason that me and Travis should not know our history... but we are both orphans from birth, and even had we parents guiding us, I am sure we would not know much. " Felix let that information sink in for a second before continuing with a thoughtful tone.
"...It is strange though.. but we were taught no history, or even given 'any' knowledge of the 'goings on' outside of the Konoha village itself. Even my own knowlege of the masters and the fifth dawn is limited to what I could read in that one chapter... and I am sure I stumbled upon it by complete accident."
Felix shifted his weight, crossing his arms while he was speaking... not embarrassed that he an Travis knew so little at all. Its not like it was their fault in the slightest, no one had ever taught them. Actually, he was quite certain that most people in the leaf village were ignorant toward outside matters... it was simply not taught to anyone.
As if upon inspiration though, Felix realized that Travis had not even met Nakamura properly yet and he almost face palmed.
"...Oh... this is Travis." He motioned to his friend, then glanced from Travis back to her. "..Travis, Nakamura Michiyo."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Felix turned back to his training, hardening his guard once more... but this time expressing it as two open hands, instead of his usual clenched guard. The hands reminded him of claws now, known usually as 'tiger' style of fighting... though this was not a tiger stance, more the basic front stance. The tiger style favored strength blows though, and precision movements, aimed toward wearing down your opponent while enduring their own strikes and redirecting them with blocks of your own.
He moved forward quickly, jabbing forward with his rear foot and shifting his weight to deliver power behind the front kick. Lowering it quickly he blocked two imaginary strikes from an opponent with his hands, then shifted back into an 'L' stance and delivered a side kick to this imaginary foe.
Nakamura seemed absolutely dumb-founded when the boy closest to her explained to her that he really had no idea who the Masters were. Maybe they were evacuated to somewhere safe while the Fire Master took over the village. Perhaps the Leaf village is corrupting their youth without even knowing it. If they don't know of the past events, history will be doomed to repeat itself. She lowered her head as if in deep thought, her body pacing back and forth for several paces before she decided to answer... but was quickly taken aback by Felix's willingness for explinations.
So the boy did have a name... Travis. Well, if they didn't know exactly what happened in the past before, they would be enlightened, however, she had a few things to answer for before that.
"Yes, the water's healing properties are even more astounding than their benefit to the chakra system.... and having no parents isn't exactly an excuse. I guess... you could say I was technically an orphan as well. I knew my parents, but I can't even see thier faces anymore. They were slain when I was four. I don't think I turned out too badly if I do say so myself." she said with a nod, taking a seat near the water's edge. Her hair drifted lazily into the water, having draped over her shoulder when she sat down.
"Well, if what you're telling me is the truth, and I don't think you'd have any reason to lie to me, I'll explain as much as I know." she took a deep breath, exhaling an icy puff of frost that floated up into the air for a few seconds before crashing down into the water, shattering in an instant.
"The Fifth Dawn, when I came into it, had just suffered some reprocusions of the Master's betrayel. I don't know much of the time before my meeting with Rikki, Amadeus, but after I met him, the Sound village had just been attacked and destroyed by one of the Masters. Now, the way it was explained to me, was that the Masters were respectively dominent over their chakra element. Stronger than any shinobi alive. Each one, seeming to have taken over their respective elemental village. Not that the others matter at this point, so I'll just explain about Konoha." she paused for a breath, allowing Travis and Felix to take a seat if they so chose to.
"The Fire Master quickly wiped out any resistance in the Leaf Village and dominated it, murdering one of my past sensei. To make a long story short, the Fire Master's ambition got ahead of him, thinking he could attack us directly. I was waiting for Amadeus to return to his visit to Sunagakure, when the Fire Master invaded. He tried to burn the village down. With the epic conclusion, being that I'm still here, I'm sure you can imagine that it wasn't an easy battle. Three of the Masters are left around today. The Lightning Master, who has yet to be found, along with the Earth and Water Masters... who are now human puppets." she paused, allowing the boys to take in all the information. It was alot all at once, but she was positive they'd understand.
"So, knowing that it was possible that the others Masters would retaliate upon the defeat of one of their own, I forced the citizens and shinobi of this village to evacuate to my home. The Lightning Master assumed that I would leave the village defensless, but he was wrong. He attacked Yukigakure and burned it to the ground. My companions: Zenjin, Hyousetsu, and Ayala; evactuated Yukigakure into a snowstorm. There weren't any casualties on our side, but the villagers had no home. So I rebuilt it. Now, that everything is taken care of, I need to finish what the Fifth Dawn had started, and rid the world of ALL of the Masters. Though I can't do it alone. I'll need help... and that's where you come in." she said with a smile. Looking to Travis, she tilted her head to the side, allowing her hair to drift along in the Spring.
"Would you like to find out your chakra element?" she asked, that same sly smile upon her face that she gave to Felix minutes before. She was sure that Felix would want to witness his friend discover his own element, if nothing else to see what it's like on the other side of things instead. She lifted herself from the water, the tips of her hair dripping with water as she rose, quickly dried itself as the water dripped back into the Spring. She took a few steps back, giving Travis plenty of room to jump in if he chose to.
Travis Wolfe
Travis Wolfe glanced at the pool again. A healing spring... that would explained why i look so odd. And, really really beautiful... he had always liked the color silver.
He turned to look at her as he started explaining. Apparently the Masters were a group of individuals with the ability of complete mastery of a elemental chakra.. And had crushed and dominated the villages. Impressive feats he supposed.
And it seemed Konoha was not spared that fate, how he had missed it was anyone's guess, porbably a combination of not caring as well as no one bothering to tell him. It seemed that Konoha was also quick to cover up their failure, as they didn't even teach the new students about the masters. To embarrassing, especially since their little war with the fire dynamo was not going well for them either.
He listened stoically to her, and raised a eyebrow at the "this is where you come in" line. So she wanted to train them to take on being who had complete and utter mastery of a elemental chakra type.
A tall order, she must have really seen something in Felix to want him here. As for himself, he assumed she had just taken him because Felix was too much of a friend to leave him to fester in Konoha.
Not surprising, Felix had a real drive to better himself, and there had always been something odd about him.
Not that Travis didn't have a drive, it just was more focused...
He frowned slightly at her when she smiled slyly. He didn't know just how to read her. Her name was rather long.. he was just going to call her Naka... at lest in his head.
" I.. suppose i would like to know. What must i do? " He asked, eying the water flowing back to the spring. Yep, not a normal spring.
He turned back to look her in the eyes.
Felix remained silent as Naka talked of her own parents, and how they were killed. He felt it was terrible that you could remember them, but nothing about them.. it was worse even than having never known them he felt... and so he nodded his head, but remained respectfully silent as Naka mentioned about how she had turned out. Though, he had not meant his own statement about not having parents to be taken as an excuse. Felix preferred to feel up front about most things, and using excuses was simply not to his taste... he would prefer to take consequences head on.
Felix noticed just how long Naka's hair was... as it draped over her shoulder and into the silver colored water below her position. It was really pretty and snow colored as well... though he could not get his mind off of how long it was. No one he had ever known kept hair like that...
He noted how she breathed out in a puff and a billow of frost would come forth... he wondered how this worked exactly, because Jutsu required hand seals to perform correct? Though he must be mistaken.. or this was not Jutsu... There were many out of the ordinary things about this girl it would seem... he managed to catch himself from staring at her once more.
Felix listened in awe as she talked about the masters. The most powerful beings in existence it would seem. As she paused, he moved over... not really seeing anything else handy, he took a seat close beside her, by the edge of the water.
Felix had read about how Naka had defeated the fire master in his history reading... but of course so many details had been left out, and he listened enthralled to her story.
A few 'key' questions pricked Felix's sharp mind at Naka's story... and he was sure they were trivial... and had not much point, but these things often proved to be worth knowing right?
"...So... whatever happened to Rikki Amadeuse?" Felix questioned, pulling his knees up to his chest and curling up beside her like that.
"...So what are the masters exactly..? ...Just elemental beings formed from chaos.. or are they actual humans... and do they have to use 'Jutsu'.. or are they simply element benders?"
Felix, like Travis was also taken aback that Naka thought he could somehow help in this quest against such powerful beings... they seemed almost as gods of the elements. This left his final question unspoken, but he glanced over at Naka with his silver eyes, affirming that she could indeed trust him for his help... because he wanted to help her. He liked her, not just cause she was spending time with him and Travis.. but because she seemed to actually care as well.
Nakamura simply tilted her head when Travis asked of his task. It was something she thought he saw Felix do... or at least come out of the water. Then it struck her that he wasn't in ear-shot. " All you have to do, is get in the water, and then Channel your chakra. Condense it... and release it. Just don't be afraid of what will happen once you succeed." she explained, her voice seeming to be relaxed rather than her quiet state that she preferred. When Felix asked of Amadeus, her smile faded away. Her lips seemed to seal themselves together before pursing enough to show a look of unease.
"To be honest, I don't know what happened to him... or Kusari. When I left the Fifth Dawn to build Aisugakure, I lost contact with them. After coming back, knowing Aisugakure was safe, nobody was here. That's when I decided to check his office for clues. They showed the Leaf Villages' symbol, and that pretty much sums up why I was there when I met you. I was looking for information about Amadeus... and maybe I could stumble upon something about Kusari too... and Kaida.... as well as Arya." Nakamura withdrew herself, remembering her missing comrades. Stop it. This isn't the time. You know better. she reminded herself, wiping away her facial expression to continue with Felix's questions. He wasn't asking for a sob story, he had questions, she had answers. Her look became more stern when she began to describe the Masters.
"The Masters look like any other person, and if they want you to know they are there, you'll sense them. Their chakra signature is monstrous and while they are normal humans... they use jutsu so quickly... but don't worry. If they attempt anything, we'll know." she concluded, her confidence in her defences was unwavering, for she knew that they were nigh impenetrible. If someone tried to break the defences, she would know the moment they entered the Waterfall.
Travis Glanced from the water, then to Naka, then back. Hmm well it may look strange, but it didn't... "feel" like anything dangerous. He supposed she meant jump in his clothes, but he didn't feel like getting everything wet.
He quickly stripped off his shirt, displaying his extremely muscular, well toned and tanned body. He then took off his boots. He set his boots down, then his shirt and coat on top of it. He flexed once then stepped into the water, slowly and cautiously.
He stood in the pool and glanced down at it suspiciously. It felt... well it felt really, really odd. Soothing and strange, like water, but still something different. He wondered what i tasted like.. but didn't try any.
He remembered what she had said and held his hands out, moving them carefully into the Dog seal, then charging his pitiful chakra reserve.
He focused his chakra then released it in a focused burst.
A brilliant burst of lighting crackled around him, wreathing him in a brilliant corona of writhing golden lighting. It played over the surface of the water reflecting on the bottom of the pool as it traveled. The golden light mingled with the silver refection of the pool adding the brilliant display of light from the lighting arching around Travis like a halo.
The lighting arched over his body for a few seconds, then subsided with a Snap of the dissipating energy. All that was left was the smell of ozone, and a slight tingling in Travis's fingers.
IF his short, fur like hair could stand up more than it already was.. it would be. His eyes where wide open in surprised, and his body was ridged. He didn't know if that was what was expected or had been some kind of accident on his part. He glanced over his shoulder at Naka with questioning eyes.
"...He does not sound very responsible..." Felix commented dryly on Amedeus, and how impossible it was to leave your own organization with no notice. Before he realized how uncomfortable and distressed this topic made Naka. He noted how she looked forlorn for the first time he had seen her, which must have been a tough feat for her. Naka was strong, and he was pretty sure there was not much out there that would phase her. There would be no need to after all. The village was safe.. the villagers were safe in an unassailable village, and she had friends right? ...well... she had her wolves... and now, Travis.. and him... he supposed they could be friends, right? Felix was not sure how Naka viewed him and Travis, but he was starting to view her as a friend... she was not acting like a Kage should at all technically. She was more down to earth and helpful... placing him and Travis at ease about most things that she could. Felix knew Naka had no 'need' of him or Travis for that matter. So his concern at her discomfort was genuine in his silver eyes watching her over his knees, and beneath his dark hair.
"...So you don't 'really' know... what the masters 'are' though..." Felix spoke ponderously in response to Naka's last comments. All that was known was that the masters seemed to come from some sort of released seal.. and they were super powerful... No backstory? No epic quest of the masters growing up together and learning their respective elements before anyone else? No bond of friendship, or hate that finally drove them to seal each other away somehow? They did not sound human at all to him. People were not just born with the power of gods. There was always a story, always a weakness... if he could find this, it would be much easier to defeat them, he thought... but if they were simply monsters of chaos, all of them.. then killing them was made much simpler.
Yea, Felix was a lot more critical than he should be.
Felix turned to watch as Travis stepped into the silver colored water of the pool. He noted the 'Raiton' reaction and leaned back a little nervous at first of the golden colored lightning. Then remembered it would not hurt him... though it was interesting that Travis' chakra emanated gold, while his own lightning had displayed a bright silver hue.
Felix glanced back at Naka after a moment, and he was close enough... but he did not really feel like it was ok to hug her yet. So at her still depressed expression, he reached out a hand and poked her in the ribs while she was watching Travis. He smiled faintly, looking up at her eyes.
The moment Travis began to remove his clothing, Nakamura turned her head away from him. She may have been considered an adult, but her mentality towards boys... especially younger boys was still juvenile. She took her right arm and pulled upon her hair, covering her face like a giant white curtain. If either boy could see her face, it would have looked like her pale complextion gained a tiny amount of color before fading away. At least, she kept it hidden long enough for her to wait until she could sense the chakra flowing from within the Spring. She dropped her hair down just in time to witness her second lightning display. What were the odds? Two Raiton users? An odd coincidence. she thought to herself, noticing Travis's head peaking out of the waters in the Silver Spring. She caught Travis' glance and met it with an explination.
"So, you have a Raiton element as well. I'd like to know how your chakra network feels." she stated, before looking to Felix. She could see something that interested him, but she really didn't have the answers, at least not all of them.
"Please don't judge him. I don't know that he did abandon us. Would you grant it possible for him to have been captured... or.. worse..." she looked away from Felix, looking to the far left so neither could see her face
"I may not know their story, but I do know that they are not invulnerable. I know that they can be killed like anyone else, and I know that if the Lightning Master ever shows himself, he'll meet the same fate as the Wind and Fire Masters... her voice cut off, feeling something push into her side. Unbenownst to her, her body reacted without her consent. Her bloodline, still dominated her even if she didn't want it to. The body's natural defence against the unknown. Her chakra lashed out at Felix's finger, sending icy chills into his hand. Almost with the same reaction speed, Naka took a swipe at Felix, as if to knock him into the Springs if his hand did happen to freeze. It was just a precaution on her part.
"I'm Sorry! It's a defence that I have no control over. I noticed it back when I was fighting against Taijutsu. If they managed to strike me, limbs would freeze on contact. I can't really help it if I don't know about it." she exclaimed, leaping to her feet in distress. How was she supposed to know he would poke her?
(touketsu suru sesshoku no jutsu) Frozen Touch Nakamura has grown so attuned with her Kekkai Genkai, that she is able to freeze on contact if she chooses. She has complete and total control over this ability and only uses it if she has to. Usually, she uses it simply to entertain those that are not from her village. She's known to have the occasional accident if you catch her off guard, so be wary if you touch her.
Felix Silverlight
CP:58
HP:48
Felix felt the icy chakra enter his hand just as soon as he touched her... and in truth, he had expected no less. He supposed he was just happy that lightning did not strike him when he touched her, but ha! He had managed to 'actually' touch her!
"..Hahhahhha..." Felix laughed smiling brightly. He snapped his hand back, evading her own thrust for him and he immediately plunged the hand into the spring. Taking ruthless advantage of the protection.
Oh yes... Felix up one point on Naka..
Travis Wolfe
HP: 66/66
Cp:26/26
Mhp: 44/44
Travis turned in the pool. So.... Lighting. A strong element. The element of the storm, something he had always enjoyed running in. He moved towards the edge of the pool. He moved to pull himself out using only left arm, he quickly pulled himself out.
He shook himself off, and was surprised when the water fled off him and back into the pool. Strange... very strange but not unexpected after that lighting show. So, she said as well... Felix must be Raiton as well... Interesting.
He looked at Naka, tilting his head slightly to the side. " What do you mean, "know how your chakra network feels" he asked. He ignored Felix poking her... though her freezing him was interesting. A good thing to know in case he had to fight her or another ice user.
