Hi ^ ^;
I am a 18 year old, college student, in ontario, canada, that is very intreged by the japanese culture. I would like to learn how to speak japanese, because I think it would be a great accomplishment if i did (since i don't know how to speak french that well >.< wink
I am a slow learner, but once I start to get something, I will start to come along nicely. smile

Hey everyone. I'm Dramore and a friend and I have been teaching ourselves Japanese. We have a lot of fun speaking it. Both of us are really involved with the other arts. We enjoy playing in the school band programs and I have participated in the drama. 私は音楽愛!(I love Music)

Hi Bleeding_shadow-san (miss Bleeding_shadow), and everyone else new here wink It was a very good try, but it's acctually "konnichiwa", with 2 n's (acctually written in japanese as: konnichiha, but the 'ha' in this case sounds like wa ninja ) and then it's kawaii. And to learn, I suggest looking at the threads and stickies to start off. There are a lot of useful information to find there 3nodding

I'm a third year Japanese student.. Though I'm not that great.. sweatdrop I'm usually too busy to go online because of all the work I have in my Japanese class.. o.o; But I will try, since it could help me out a bit..
I've been interested in the Japanese culture since I was seven, because my father went to Japan for a construction job... He brought me back lots of souvineers, so I quickly became fascinated.. I've always wanted to go to Japan, as well.. Anyway, I like to chat, so pm me if you want biggrin

I don't really know any Japanese, but ever since the first time I've heard it I've loved it, I always wanted to learn it, though my life is pretty much too packed to be taking lessons in it right now. But hopefully I can learn it from here. I actually know two languages, my first language is English, second is Welsh, because I am Welsh I should know my own language, but I am abit rough at it. Now I'm aiming to learn Japanese as my third language.

Yoroshiku! heart (Nice to meet you!)
I'm Lironah, aka Liro, Lir, etc. Nihongo no benkyou wa...roku nen buri ka na... (I've been studying Japanese for about 6 years.)
Yoku anime wo miru ya manga wo yomu no wo benkyou to suru dakedo... sweatdrop (Although I usually 'study' by watching anime or reading manga...)
Sore kara, shaberikata wa ichiban suki na Kagari heart to yoku niteiru. (Because of that, I usually talk like my favorite character, Kagari (from Gundam Seed.))
Watashi wa uta no honyaku koto wo shumi to shimashita. Toku ni anime no uta wa ne. (My hobby is translating song lyrics. Especially anime songs, of course.)
I'm taking Business Japanese right now...my school is running out of classes for me to take. crying I'll probably have to transfer to a bigger university soon if I want to keep studying. I'm going to be a mom soon though, and I haven't decided what to do with my schooling after that.
I'd be glad to help people with difficult translations...I've got all kinds of resources, and a decent vocabulary. I'm especially good at translating slang, since I watch anime so much.

Just wondering, did you take about 6 years of formal institution Japanese courses, or did you study on your own for a certain portion of those 6 years?
