-sigh- I get so sick of everything's changing and not being set in stone. Fair warning to all you new wives out there: get used to this, it's going to happen alot. stare

Chris hasn't been to PLDC yet and was supposed to go this month: couldn't the class was full. So they tell him he's going Nov. 3 and he's making arrangements with the FD so he can have time to get packed and ready to go...today he calls me to say that he isn't going then, or in December. All of the recently promoted members of the Fire Department have to wait until the new year to go and will have to suffer through the new 4 week classes instead of the current 2 week ones.

So I'm going to be at least 5 months pregnant and alone for 4 weeks, just me and the cats. And that means I need to buy a mask and gloves so I can even change the box because Chris REFUSES to ask anyone to come in and help me with that every other day or every day. I'm trying to get my mother to come and spend time with me so I'm not alone but I'm not sure she'll do it. She hates to travel and she was already making excuses for why she may not be able to come; nothing new there but I tried to stress that it's really important to me and I'd be so grateful if she could.

I don't feel comfortable being alone that long and not when I'm that far in my pregnancy. What if something goes wrong and I can't drive or I can't get to a phone? This city isn't very safe as it is and on the nights Chris is at work I get kind of scared being alone: I don't want to do it for 4 whole weeks.

I'm hoping she'll come, even if it's just for a week. sad

Oh I know that ALL too well!! I know I'm a bit of a drive down to San Antonio, but you're more than welcome to hang out here. Of course, I know when you're pregnant making huge drives is very scary in itself. If you need anything, lemme know.

Bleh, I hate how they screw over on things. I have a feeling Tommy's going to do his PLDC and get stuck with the 4 weeks rather than 2 as well.

*hugs* What bums. I'm so sorry your going to have to be alone so long. I love how they just jerk you around like that. Sometimes I'd just like to kick who evers in charge of the military, wait isn't that the president hmmm *desire to kick increases*
What if you got a litter maid for the cats? I'm not sure how they work, but perhape they are safer, I beleive Nopen knows all about them. I hope it will turn out ok.
On a side note my hubby is off to PLDC in the new year too! Crazy.

it sucks big time that your going to have to be alone for that long that far inot your pregnacy.

My husband told me last night that one of his platoon mates is from here in town and that his wife is 7 almost 8 months pregnate right now and he wanted to get a hold of her and keep her company and help her as much as i can because he wont even be able to come back town until Dec 20th and she is due Dec 15th.

My cats are both "power kickers" and if the litter box isn't enclosed I'll have CUPS of litter all over the floor everytime they go and it will be several feet from the box. So they have a big Rubbermaid container with a hole cut in the lid and we go through 30 pounds of litter every 2 weeks. I have a hard enough time manipulating the box because I'm only 5'2" and it's pretty big, but with a bump, man, that's going to be hard. If they didn't kick and bury like they do, we'd have bought a littermaid long ago. So sadly, it's not an option unless we managed to find an even bigger container, hide it in there, and then hope it works being hidden like that. But that's going to have to be one big container because we'd need the multicat one. We have Ragdolls and while my babies are definitely not as big as they CAN get, they're still big. My petite one is 16 pounds and her brother is over 18 pounds. 4laugh Love my babies but sometimes they make things hard.

We're going to see if one of our friends would come in and feed them/ change the litterbox and if my mother would be willing to front us the money for a plane ticket so I could go home for part of the time. Hopefully this will be more acceptable to her as she refuses to travel. rolleyes She won't even go see my sister who lives like 25 minutes away. I don't know why I'd expect her to see me 1300 miles away.

wow big kitty! I hope you friend will come help you.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2005 4:50 pm

Heh big kitties, gotta love them. Although that would be awesome if your friend would do that. Even if you can't, I bet if you were to put a free ad in the paper or around the complex, someone would do the quick work for some cash for a few weeks, I would think!

And eh, I totally get that feeling from my parents when it comes to travelling to see me. They've never travelled to where I've been.

Oh bless you. That bites. Your cats are huge eek I really hope that you get the chance to be with your mum for a while, every girl needs their mum, I imagine especially when you are without your husband and pregnant. If not, you know you have support here. As useless as it sounds, but there are always ears ready to listen to you. 3nodding

As long as they can give us a date and actually STICK TO IT this time, things look like they'll be working out. Our friend says he'd be more then happy to take care of the kitties and my mother will front the ticket for me to fly home so she can take care of me and make sure I don't die a horrible death while I'm alone.

XD So it's tenatively solved and I feel so much better.

Perhaps post it as a text link and slap a warning on your post stating that it's graphic. Or just ask people to PM you if they'd want to see his 'battle injury.'
