I'm a high school junior, but our drum major has decreed that upper classmen are senior musicians, so I'm a "senior" bass clarinet player (& I'm back to being section leader biggrin ). btw, I started on clarinet in 6th grade, but I've been playing bass clarinet since 7th grade.

@@; 'ello I'm new the guild and I play the clarinet. I've been playing for a little over 2 years since our school band is new and all and was created when I was a Sophomore and I'm a Senior now.. o_o Uhmmmm. I learned fairly fast that I play most of the 1st clarinet pieces for my school. ^^ I planned on majoring in music in college, but I decided against it because I wanted to be a vet, but I could always double major, but I bet I'm not good enough and would bomb the audition. My senior band class is also learning the Flight of the Bumblebee solo parts which I'm having a really hard time learning. Anyone have any tips? D:
I love the clarinet and I don't think I could live without it. X3 Learning to play this instrument was one of the best things that ever happened in my life.

I'm a high school sophomore. I have been playing the clarinet for 6 years and I love it! I am the only sophomore section leader in the entire band, since section leaders are only reserved for upper classmen. I am also the only sophomore from the clarinets who plays first. I am first chair, fifth seat (pretty good eh?). I also plan to try out for Drum Major this year and if I don't get into that, then I want to be Band President. I love my clarinet!...I love my band!

*waves to fellow clarinet players* My name's Lucia, and I'm a junior in the AI duPont Tiger Marching Band and the AI Concert Band. I played clarinet from 4th grade to the beginning of 7th, then quit because I had some, eh, problems with the band director at my middle school. This year is my first year back in the band. I'm 7th chair out of 14 clarinets in senior band (everyone but the freshmen)... not bad for just coming out of a four-year break, I guess. sweatdrop I'm so glad I rejoined band... it's the most fun I've had in years!

Hello fellow clarinet players! ^^
My name is Sana, and I've been playing the B-flat clarinet for over 5 years. heart
I am currently a freshmen at El Camino Fundamental High School, and 2nd chair, 1st clarinet, in our band. biggrin
We call ourselves the "El Camino Eagles, We Don't March Band", because we are the only highschool in the area that doesn't march, at all! eek
Instead of Band Uniforms, we wear black jackets that have the El Camino logo on them. 3nodding

Yay, we finally had our winter concert Tuesday night. First was the concert band (mostly freshmen and sophomores) and then the symphonic band (mostly juniors and seniors) and then the Nashville Wind Ensemble. eek That night kicked some serious butt. xd I ended up second clarinet, which was a suprise...and the first kept squeaking during the warmup, so I had this huge grin on my face making it hard to play with good sound. xd

Mystical Kairi Hayashi Aki Meh, awesome clarinet solo at the beginning: http://www.skrampsnewplace.com/sounds/Reagan2003.mp3 Not very long, but still cool. For those of you wondering...that's Ronald Reagan Highschool's '03 show (my school). So cool. ^^ PM me and tell me what you think. Aw, man. I wish there was a video to go with that, it sounds awesome. ...You wouldn't happen to have the video for it, would you? o.o Oh my god, I wish! I'd have to pay like 60 dollars to have a video of that show, 'cause it rocks. But what I DO have is THIS year's show. It's equally awesome: http://www.reaganband04.cjb.net/ (tip: it's way cooler if you turn up your speakers really loud!) Yeah, tell me what you think of that one also. We won the Super Regional with that show! ^^ Enjoy.
