Areli turned her gaze, to look down apon Jax and Shey. "Hmm..." she hummed, letting her gaze stay on Shey. She then walked to Jay, and nosed his head. "I've said before, I'll say it again! I hate it when you wander off, don't do that." she said, stepping back, then looking at Shey. "Well, whos this?" she asked, looking at Shey again, then bringing her gaze to Brooke with a smile. She stepped back again, then walked over, and next to Amaree. "More and more lions are coming every hour." she chuckled.

Jax glared at Areli, his top lip twitching in the beginnings of a resentful growl. 'I'm not a baby anymore, mom. I won't get lost.' He cast a meaningful look down at Shey, and shrugged at Areli's question. 'Well, I wouldn't know. She never told me her name.'
Shey bowed her head, slightly embarrassed. 'I'm Shey.' She explained. 'I wanted to talk to King of these lands before I trespassed.'
Brooke stood, paralyzed with shock. Who was this lion? She kept silent, hope she would not be seen by the kit. She felt almost guilty, but why, she had no idea.

Areli looked at Jax and narrowed her eyes, then smiled, trying not to be too mean to him. She looked at Shey. "Well, our king is over there..." she murmured, motioning to Rellick. "Rell..?" she said loudly for him to hear.

Amaree laughed as Jade went off and Areli made her comment. "We'll be old and decrepit before we know it Li!" Amaree nuzzled Reyvn. "Stay put now and don't make trouble." She walked over to where Brooke was and tickled her with a flake. "Why the long face dear? Something bothering you?" It was them that Amaree noticed the other cub with Jax. "Who is that....?" She asked taking a step forward, the fur on her shoulders standing on end. "What is she doing here?"
Amaree paced a bit before heading over to Jayvn. She bent her head low and lowered her ears. "I am truly sorry, dark one... I have shamed you by sending you after Rellick.... I ... wasn't thinking..." She looked off to the side, still upset at herself. "I could have risked your life and the life of others in the Pride." She looked into Jayvn's eyes. "How can I ask your forgiveness?"

"My forgiveness?" Jayvyn blinked dusk purple eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong." He licked the scar on his leg. "My fault for going out to find him."

'I... I don't know.' Brooke managed. She was staring at this cub carefully, a deep frown upon her face.
'Thank you.' Shey smiled, and padded over toward the scarlet figure. 'Sir? I was just wishing to talk to you before walking on your lands, but one of your cubs over there told me to come with him to find you.' She said, motioning to Jax, who was sitting and looking as if he were trying his best to ignore Areli. 'I won't be here for long. Just a little while for a bit of water and I shall be on my way.
'Wait, whoa..' Brooke sprang to her paws. 'You.. you can't go!' When the cub looked at her quizzically, Brooke could see the confused glint in her eyes too.

Amaree nudged Jayvn. "I know it's... not really my fault... but I was worried about you... I was worried about Rellick. I care about you both more than anyone else in this world." She licked Jayvn's cheek and purred to him. "I just feel guilty because it was my idea..." She lay down and looked up at Jayvn. "I know why you look at Rellick the way you do..." She looked away and then back. "You... you love him don't you?" She set her head on his back and sighed.

Rellick turned as his name was spoken, a smile on his face. He was happy his family was doing so well. The kits were becomming cubs in their own right, and the females all seemed to be getting along with Jay and each other, so he felt there was little more than he could ask for.
"Yes Areli?" He asked, stepping over to her.

Areli smiled as he walked over. She purred and nudged him softly. "I had actually just been trying to get your attention for the kit... but... I have been wanting to talk to you, if thats okay..." she began. "Maybe we could, go on a walk or something." she said.

Rellick nodded to the suggestion of a walk, then eyed the Kit. She was very tine, delicate, and patterned much like Brooke, which made him eye the older lioness. He glanced back to the cub and smiles kindly.
"Hello... I am the King of these Lands, my name is Rellick... And you are?"

Areli sighed as Rellick turned his attention to the kit. She then put on a smile and looked at Shey, then Brooke, then Rellick, as she stood next to him.

The Dark Prince squeaked, eyes wide in surprise. Was he that easy to read? "Yea...I guess I do...." Dusk purple swung to look over scarlet. "I've never been in love before."
Aygra looked up from the dusty coat of the gazelle to the Huntress. "Yes she had." The now-teen clambored down off the carcass and stretched. He had quite a few bruises in various places, but no broken bones or wounds. Luck had been on his side today.

Shey shot Areli a grin, and then her attention turned back to the King. 'I'm Shey.' She said with a smile. 'I just wanted to pass by the lands. I just didn't want to risk angering anyone.'
Brooke scowled. 'Do my words mean nothing?' She demanded, coming up behind the kit. She had felt her temper on a short fuse ever since she had seen the cub, who looked so much like herself and yet could not see their resemblance. 'She can't just... leave!'
Shey blinked quizzically. 'Why... not?'
Jax had been standing sullenly behind Amaree, in an attempt to keep his adopted mom from nosing him. He suddenly stepped up to join Jayvyn and the lioness, unable to keep himself from overhearing. 'You what?' He hissed, his voice barely above a whisper so as not to catch the King's attention.

Rellick smiled at Shey -taken by her simple request and intent. She just wanted to pass through-simple enough. He then glanced at Brooke, and pinned his ears in displeasure. Her words seemed like she was telling him what should be done in his own kingdom, and he gave her a harsh look, waiting for her to choose what she would say next.
Jade smiled at the teen. "You are an odd one... I have yet to have seen a male who would hunt when a pride of lionesses were so near... The only males I know of that hunt are those that have no femme's of their own, or as friends.... Why do you hunt?"

Brooke caught Rellick's look and lifted her top lip briefly in response. 'Do what you want with her, Rell, but...' She hesitated. 'She looks too much like my mother for me to let her go away. I can't. So if she goes, I gotta go with her.' She felt her cheeks flame underneath her cool fur. It all seemed so childish once she put it into words. But it was true.
Shey scowled. 'I'm to be compared to an old lioness?' She growled, eyes narrowed with indignation. 'How do I know you speak truth?' She stuck her chin into the air and stared at the blue speckled lion. 'I look nothing like any lion...' She stopped, thinking of her own mother. She could certainly spot similarities between herself and the old lioness, but...
