Harmonia

The thousands of wraiths was a terrifying sight! They were everywhere and they swarmed like bees in a hive. Before the Eternal knew what was going on she felt herself grow weary. Despite her attempts to kill a wraith ands gain some energy back, she stumbled to the side, and into empty air.

Her hand slipped from hopeit's as she attempted to catch herself but there was nothing to be caught on. Next thing she knew she was falling into a fog. A sense of floating and never ending drop were almost a godsend if it weren't for the fact she worried if she'd ever see light again.

Sailor Encke

Encke had gotten back on his feet and was progressing alright when he noticed something rather odd about the wind.

He gasped when the first of the wraiths charged through his body.

He had never felt anything quite like that before, and it took a few seconds for him to get his bearings back. What was that?! After a moment, he yawned, and he immediately wondered if this was some kind of Negaverse energy-draining nonsense. It would certainly explain the fact that he seemed to be in some alternate dimension.

Either way, he had to get rid of these things before they got rid of him.

Encke started by experimentally swinging his hand out, knocking one of the strange energy-gathering ghosts away. To his surprise, it actually worked, and a grin formed on his face. Soon, he was knocking them away left and right, strolling through like relatively little was happening to him.

Encke: 16 + 9 = 25

-----------------

Zachariah Faulkner

Just when he thought he might have finally been progressing, Zachariah spotted something that seemed truly, fully, impossible.

They looked like ghosts. Reflective ghosts. They ran through him and felt like they were taking something from him, and they didn't stop. He froze, brain attempting badly to grasp at something that could explain what was happening. There was nothing in his mental banks that could explain any of this, but at least rooms were normal. Paths were normal. They were things that existed outside of this world.

This?

He wasn't sure what this was.

His attempts to fight them off were feeble at best, vaguely swatting in the direction of the wraiths and perhaps managing to throw a few off him.

He was tired.

Zachariah: 9 + 2 = 11

-----------------

Shikora Mjoli

Shikora thought she was moving great, really. Her speed was, all things considered, fairly good, and the wind wasn't even bothering her at all. At least, it wasn't initially.

It didn't take long before Shikora noticed how tired she had begun feeling, and that something seemed... different about the wind. The energy drain that she was quickly feeling didn't seem to be just because she had been moving quickly, and she decided to take a moment to take a closer look at what was actually hitting her.

What was--

Her eyes widened in disbelief, and she flailed in an attempt to get the next wraith away from her. It didn't quite work, but in her pinwheeling she managed to get another one away, knocking it over the edge.

Alright.

Shikora kept trying, managing to push a few away from her as she carried on ahead. She started to feel a little less tired, at least, though a general feeling of malaise didn't leave as she kept down her path.

Shikora: 16 + 5 = 21

Jeremy

Jeremy didn’t want to know. He wanted to get out of here; he was exhausted already, and for whatever reason, it was just getting worse even though his adrenaline was still pumping wildly. He noticed movement out of the corners of his eyes but was determined not to let anything distract him or slow him down.

It wasn’t exactly easy to ignore them when he didn’t know what they were and his mind was reeling.

Man, what he wouldn’t give to be home right now…

He kicked at one of the strange shadows that was darting in front of them and, to his surprise, it shattered.

…And he felt a little more alive again.

Breaking things was second nature to him; it was one of his favorite things to do—when the occasion was right.

Tonight, the occasion was right.

He made sure to keep a good grip on Anne-Marie and tug her along with him.

“I guarantee we don’t want to know what that was,” he replied, “But we’re not going to have to worry about that soon. Looks like there’s something up there. So I bet we’ll be out of here in no time.”

…He hoped.

“Don’t slow down, though. We’re making good time!”

Or, at least, they weren’t falling off the path, so that was good enough for him.

Super Sailor Myrrha

Just what where these things? Myrrha felt like she had batted away hundreds of the vile things already. It had started gradually. The senshi of scents had felt something pass through her and had panicked at first as she could feel the energy leave her. It was almost like with Caedus's energy crystals from when the attack on the Rift happened but this was sharp and sudden. Not at all pleasant, nope. Knowing that the path she was on was far too narrow to actively move around and fight back on all Myrrha could do was continue to windmill her arms around and hope that she didn't fall off the path as a result.

Her plan might not have been orthodox but it seemed to have worked as she could feel her energy return. Assuming since these "things" were non-corporeal that her magic would not affect them in the least. Shrugging her shoulders Myrrha sniffed disdainfully at her situation before blocking out all other distractions to keep moving. She just wanted to go home, back to normalcy if she could. Though she'd just settle for getting out of whatever this place was, preferably in one piece.

Mathias (-1)

The creatures were - familiar - he had hunted their like before. He growled low in his throat as they came. His fists flashed as they came, minding his balance on the upper level as he was. As they ripped through him they were met with fist and foot - their relentless assault met with one of his own.

But now he had a - WHO - or at least a good enough guess as to who. No, this was not a Negaverse operation - and while he had been willing to give the Dark Moon lee way before... he knew now that had been a MISTAKE.

If... no... WHEN he got out of here... He was going to suggest they answer in kind.

Chrysocolla
12: The wraiths attack but you have the advantage; you manage to hit enough wraiths that the majority of your lost energy is restored. Despite them charging through you, you still progress at a fast pace!

Chrysocolla normally had patience for a lot of things, but getting pushed and elbowed by the people around her - so stifling, so encroaching, she couldn't breathe - something in her went a little further, a little angrier, and she pushed through. Her legs were burning, but she had no want to deal with the wraiths; she was small, and fast, and they were caught on the taller, larger people around her. (If she pushed some of the other people into the wraiths, it was no one's fault but their own for being there and being too slow.)

She wanted out. She wanted out. There had to be a way out because there were too many people here and if she stopped focusing for even half a second, it constricted her throat and tore at her insides and prickled under her skin like poison.

Anakeion
6: Swarmed by wraiths, your energy depletes rapidly. You are able to take out a decent number of the wraiths, restoring a decent amount of your energy to you. You manage to keep moving at a moderate ******** THIS," Anakeion declared rather loudly, calling her staff to hand and slamming it with wild abandon into any wraith that got within about a foot and a half of her. Personal space.

--
Juliet
3: The wraiths overwhelm you and drain you significantly; you are feeling lightheaded and stumble a few times. You manage to break a few wraiths, which returns some energy to you; while you are able to keep moving forward, a nap sounds really good right now.

She had never been harmed by a wraith, but she had been drained before; so when her skin apparently became a convergence point for mirrorwraiths, Juliet knew enough to sit down before she lost her balance, and let the angry flow of people move around her. She knelt on her knees, pulled herself out of the main frenzy of feet that threatened to flatten her, and let the Wraiths have what they wanted. They meant no harm, didn't they? She meant no harm either. They were more her kin than anyone else here.

Phrygia (0)

Once he'd gotten his feet back under him and pushed forward, he encountered something... ghostlike. Frankly he thought it was horrifying, but it was in his way, and even as the first few rushed through him, the others that approached soon meet the business end of his fist.

He dared not hazard his cane in such a tight quarters. His luck he'd break it against something or someone. But he did keep it in his hand, using it to try and drive away anything that got to close - stabbing anything that tried to break his defense.

Sharatan went from having some confidence in what was going on to suddenly feeling the cold brush of fear. The wraith creatures descended upon her from the shadows faster than she could react, several darting through her body before she even had a chance to scream in shock.

She flailed, lashing out in panic against the creatures, destroying a few - but those few she broke were quickly replaced with more - swarming her.

She was terrified, but she grit her teeth and pushed forward, lashing out at the things as they came on.

"Zeta, Itsuki!" She hissed through clenched teeth. "Keep going, we can't let them stop us!"

She wasn't sure they were both with her anymore - she was so tired... But she had to push on. She would not die here.

Eternal Chaldene

Feeling something brush against his legs was...well creepy given where they were and the surroundings they found themselves in. It also didn't help when he couldn't place what was down there brushing against him, and he did keep looking, it just seemed he was seconds too late to see what was touching him. He didn't like this - he really didn't like this.

He only just heard a scream, or a shout, from behind before he was looking down again and caught sight of it. "s**t...' He knew what that was - he knew what they were, as there were a lot of them suddenly. Wraiths....and it made sense, since it now clicked in his mind. He'd been pulled into a reflective surface, a mirror, they were in mirrorspace....but where were the dark mirror senshi? Shouldn't they be here?

Jerking his heard up as Antares shouted he nodded. "I noticed." And watching her start to fight him off he did the same, seconds behind her, but she was certainly ahead of him in the wraith kill count. He could feel his own energy dipping and than rising and dipping again. It wasn't where he wanted it to be - or where it should be. This wasn't something he wanted in case he needed to use his magic. "Damn it. There are too many and if we're inside a mirror....they are going to follow us the whole time." There would be no escape and no way to keep a hold on much energy

Sailor Lacerta

At first she thought that perhaps she had imagined the sensation of something passing through her was maybe all in her head. Or maybe she felt Mel's tail twitching against her side. Whatever it was the first time it was merely inconsequential. The tiredness was still attributed to actively climbing stairs while hanging onto a cat and still on occasion seemingly fighting a bit of a breeze. All that hadn't really tired her out but as more "sensations" registered Lacerta began to slow her pace down. Blinking in confusion the senshi of bandages then realized that "something" was all around her. "Mel, we've got company," was all she could spit out before watching in disbelief as one such "company" darted at and in short order through her. The feeling of exhaustion nearly doubled and finally the dots connected in her mind. Being as new as she was she didn't understand what these things were but it didn't take a genius to know what was happening.

Bending over Lacerta quickly deposited Mel on the pathway and raised her fists. Oh if only she had her trusty golf club from before would it have made a difference. Striking out with her fists Sailor Lacerta watched as one creature shattered and she felt just a little bit better ... but there seemed to be too many to deal with on her own. She began to stumble a bit as she pushed herself to carry on. The path was still shattering behind her and it was almost strange to think that maybe a rest was needed.

Even knowing now wasn't the time and place she could feel the exhaustion leeching her will to keep fighting and her mental awareness. A whispered plea was forced through her lips as she sat down suddenly on the stairway, "Mel, don't have to stay. Go."

8 - You were fortunate enough to land near the pathway and manage to get a good head start.
7 - You choose the stairs leading upwards. Maybe higher ground will grant you a better vantage? You are met with only darkness, but it is easy to skip two steps at a time and hasten your trip.

2 - The wraiths overwhelm you and drain you significantly; you are feeling lightheaded and stumble a few times. You manage to break a few wraiths, which returns some energy to you; while you are able to keep moving forward, a nap sounds really good right now.

Lieutenant Strengite

Strengite’s grin got larger when she saw the red flush once again cross the boy’s face. God teasing him was just too fun. She was glad that she had chosen to follow him and his little friend. The girl was a lot more touchy and honestly Strengite didn’t think flirting would really do more than just piss the blonde off but there were still tactics in the nega’s pocket to torment them both. She was honestly contemplating just yanking the girl off balance enough to send her over the edge of their narrow path just to see what happened when it became apparent that the webby feeling she had been ignoring wasn’t something she was making up.

The senshi screamed something to Chaldene and started to throw punches into thin air except it wasn’t thin air. There was something there! The hell? This wasn’t anything Beni taught was it? She honestly didn’t recall right then, not that she had time to really think about it as more of the jellyfish like transparent critters came at her. With a yelp Strengite swatted at them with her flyswatter, trying not to topple over the edge as she forged forward. Most of her swings missed but some connected. There was no end to them!

Antares

“Maybe we just need to get the ******** out of here,” Antares muttered as she did her best not to crowd Chaldene, focus on her feet and where she was going to put them, and get as far away from the crazy lady behind them as possible. If they didn’t have to worry about the rapidly crumbling path that was creeping up on them Antares would gladly face the negabitch and teach her a thing or two but right now Antares’ priority was protecting Chaldene and getting them both out of this predicament in one piece. She totally missed Chaldene’s red face, no way did she want a repeat of what just happened, but she didn’t miss the comment about him being stuck in a room with the nutball behind them.

“Wasn’t in a room, just got sucked in here when I went looking for you,” the younger girl muttered. It was getting harder to focus on what he was saying between the screeching and the wind and it was becoming more and more obvious to her that something else was hindering their path beside the wind. At first it was like cobwebs brushing against her, invisible cobwebs that brought shivers down her spine. Then the cobwebs turned to spears of icy wind that cut through her and that's when it hit her. They were in the mirror space. She had been sucked in via a reflective surface and when she focused on the void around them she could see them. Wrathes. Hundreds of them. Millions. Everywhere. Swarming like sharks in chummed waters. Every time one brushed against her or zipped through her Antares could feel her energy flag. Like a lightbulb in a older house, it dimmed slightly every time a new appliance was turned on. Soon she would be out of energy all together which would likely end up with her keeling over in a dead faint and on this path it meant death in the void that stretched out all around them.

“Chaldene! Wrathes!” It was the only shout of warning she could get out before the next ghostly leech came flying at her causing her to lash out at it, and the next one and the next and the next.

Mlinzi

Maybe it was because he didn’t have to focus on where they were going or where he was walking or worrying about getting stepped on but it honestly didn’t much for him to notice something moving out in the darkness that surrounded them both. He tried to make it out. Was it just dust being blown around by the still present wind? Mirror shards? Sandwich bags that had made its way in here? Even with his cat eyes it still wasn’t enough light to really make anything out. Not until Lacerta mentioned the company and put him down in short order. “Wraiths?” It was a question really because he didn’t really know what they were either. Only that they were Dark Mirror senshi’s constructs. He had no idea what they did, could do, came from. Nothing really. Most definitely nothing useful. What he did know was that they could be fought and defeated. They needed to be fought and defeated.

The large cat did what he could to do just that. Claws really helped to make quick work of the stupid wraiths that came at him and with his balance he didn’t even fear the edge of the path… except that one time when he nearly sailed off it when he was leaping for a particularly fast little bugger but he didn’t so it totally didn’t count. He was having a grand old time killing things when Lacerta whispered something, making him turn around to find her sitting down.

“No! No you will get up right this instant!” He raced back to her and growled at her, shoving her with his head. “You will get up or I’ll… I’ll… I’ll BITE you!” It was the only threat he could think of and as he darted around her batting away as many wraiths he could Mel totally meant it. If she didn’t get up in the next sixty seconds he was going to bit her or sink his claws into her or something to get her moving. She couldn’t remain here! She wouldn’t!

Arthur Quinton aka Quinn

During their trek Quinn only glanced back once when slowed for a split second to see a pair of shoes tossed over the side. “I’ll buy you a new pair,” he offered as they both got back up to speed. He had no idea that they were Louis Vuitton’s, nor did he really care. To him shoes were shoes. Didn’t matter if he was wearing more money on his feet then a typical family saw in a month or if he was wearing ratty a** buck fifty flip flops. Right now all Quinn cared about was how fast they were going and absurdly happy he wore his tennis shoes today.

When the wraiths first showed up Quinn just brushed it off, literally and figuratively. This place was creepy enough that making s**t up mentally wasn’t really all that far fetched but it became more and more obvious that he wasn’t imagining the brushes against his skin, something was really there. Muttering a curse, green eyes quickly picked out the movement of the creatures once he knew to look for them. “Keep them off you! Hit them with whatever you have.” He swung at the closest wraith, driving it back. “We can’t stop. We got to keep going!” With each wraith he beat away, or shattered, Quinn became more and more aware of the danger they were in as each second passed.

General Benitoite

Keeping to his cousins side wasn't that hard, though for his shorter legs it could be difficult in most cases, here the General was able to keep up though that was mostly due to the wind which seemed to slow his cousin just a bit. "I really dislike this place..." He didn't know why, aside from this realms apparent want to bring harm to them, but something was off and didn't feel right. Never one to back down from anything it was the moment he felt something brushing against his leg that he stopped where he was and drew his weapon. Something else, aside from the wind, was out here and had touched him - it would die.

A second touch and he spotted it and he froze. He knew what it was and he wondered, briefly, why he hadn't thought of this sooner. "Mirrorspace...we're in mirrorspace. These are wraiths..." Which meant they were feeding - collecting their energy. "Cuprite...kill as many as you can. They are collecting our energy." And he didn't need his cousin fainting, it would slow them down tremendously. He'd apologize to Remarque and Leto later for killing some of their wraiths, maybe dinner or some other such thing, they'd understand in all likelihood.

As energy left him, and he started to feel cool and then cold, he started to swing the spear around and watched in satisfaction as it sliced through many of the wraiths which had decided he was a good meal. With each wraith that he killed he felt some of his energy return, a good amount of it. He felt good, confident, with how much energy remained in his petite form. He could handle this.

As he moved, swinging his weapon, he failed to notice the dark mirror senshi and without notice his weapon swung right into the senshi who was sitting there being attacked by wraiths.

Sailor Hamal

"I'm glad I'm not doing this alone either....very glad."
Her words softly spoken as she walked at the others side. Making her way up the steps she was glad she was used to walking, used to walking up many steps at a time. She wasn't sure she'd manage it otherwise, it was a lot.

The path wasn't that bad though, she did wonder if it was this easy for everyone. She continued to glance about as if looking for something, anything, which could help them or tell them what was going on. There wasn't a clue though...she really did hope none of her family as involved in this as well, though if none were she knew that meant they'd be home and worrying about her. She'd have to make it up to her cousins somehow....and deal with Seung who would want to keep her from leaving the house on her own, at least powered up.

"Thank you." The warning about the wind was much appreciated as she braced herself and forged ahead, she couldn't let this stop her - right? Nope.

As they continued, and the wind continued and the noise, she felt something brush her leg and jumped - startled. "Athene!" Her voice rising in pitch as she turned wide, scared, eyes onto him. "Did you feel anything?" She asked, wanting to make sure she wasn't just imagining things...she hoped she was. Then she felt it again and soon there was more and she was having to kick at shadow like creatures that it seemed were leading her to feeling tired. For each that she seemed to kill, or maybe just banish, she felt a little less tired though. They were taking her energy!

"What are these?"

Faustite couldn't tell when the whistling wind transitioned into screeching - when heavy gusts procured the drifting, ethereal forms. At first they looked no different than shadows casting about in a well-lit room, but as a few of them darted through him undeniably, he realized their forms: they were mirror wraiths.

He knew of them from the rooftop wraith itself. But these - Dark Mirror Senshi always claimed dominion over them. Directed them. Sealed them away. Were these wraiths stored here? Left to roam free? Were they in the depths of the Dark Mirror Court and its endless planes of mirrors?

Faustite found little time to entertain the thought; their ethereal figures buzzed and darted around him without pause, and wicked away his energy faster than he could try to defend himself. But even for all of his smoke and ability to teleport, he found none of it working. He could not pace himself further ahead despite its view from his perspective; he could not simply drown the wraiths in smoke. Instead, they orbited him through the heavy gusts as a slow, simple target.

How infuriating.

Ochre, Corrupted Eternal Senshi

"Great." At least we won't die alone? And nothing's trying to murder us yet.

... Oh. Too soon.
Dark forms materialized from their surroundings. They wound about each other like fireflies, searching, seeking, until swooping down on all who dared cross the platforms. Ochre watched as a few ahead and a few behind became the targets of their collective assault. "So um... I might've been the one doing the jinxing just now." Surely enough, a flurry of the creatures sought them both.

At first, he felt nothing. Energy draining was more of a gradual realization, he confirmed with himself. Reaching out toward the etherial forms never once halted their escape. But even as they passed through him and unwound some of the energy from his form, Ochre caught many of the tangible forms in hand and crushed them. And while he found it irritating to yo-yo between exhausted and fine, he could live with it as long as he ensured that none of the wraiths escaped with their bounty.
