Nick met up with her new parter, and gave him a grin. Despite her usual rude and antisocial attitude, she was actually having an okay time of it all. Turns out chatting with people wasn't so bad.

"Well well, we meet again," she said to Henry, a victory brownie in one hand, and bag of cookies in the other. Then she promptly stuffed the brownie into her mouth like the graceful and classy lady she was.

"******** yeah," she replied after clearing her mouth. Her grin was wide and daring, the smile of someone who was always ready to test her own limits.

"So ******** man, wishes. I wish it would ******** stop with the rainy s**t-tastic weather, I'm going ******** crazy sitting around in here forever."

Henry chuckled at Nick, and finally took a bite of his cookie, then another. Chewing and swallowing before speaking again—Grandma had instilled a certain importance on at least some manners. "Yeah, that would be nice. Or at least the golems leaving us alone. The rain is anything, but I could deal with that if it wasn't also dangerous."

A Life tech, looking fairly harassed, looked his head in, and by the time he'd give on his merry way again Henry was staring down at the half eaten cookie in his hand. "Uh oh." He shot a worried look at Nick, and then turned baby blues out into the room, looking for the twins and Cami. Had they eaten the cookies too?

The first person he stopped was Cami. "Hey, did you eat any of...the..." His voice trailed off as his concern began to fade away, and after a moment he couldn't quite recall why he'd been concerned in the first place.




He was smiling at her as if he didn't really believe her, but he wasn't going to call her on it. The question itself send to have flustered her, and him pressing the matter would have likely made it worst. He wasn't here to ruin anyone's time. "Any luck yet, finding friends, or...what was it? Guild mates?". There was a distinct sound of amusement at the end there. A gamer girl, to the extreme.

Cute though.

But their conversation wouldnt get to go on much beyond that. A tech showed up, warning about the cookies, and the humor drained from Zeke's face all at once as he looked down at the cookie in his hand. s**t.

Sighing, he looked at the cookie in Kammy's hand, then around the room. Had they all eaten them?

He picked Ever out of the crowd, but the concern was already fading, replaced by warmth radiating from his core at unfamiliar levels.

"No. Go ask someone else if you want cookies." Lysander said to his date, showing his usual level of charm.

He didn't notice that he felt a bit strange until later. He wasn't sure what they were talking about with a mix up and as usual didn't really listen to much. If there was a problem, Roswell would tell him.

Eventually, after polishing off his cookies, he got up and went for a walk, spotting Melvin hugging a pillow. Melvin made him feel things, normally negative things but right now that got a little bit mixed up with his deep love for everyone around him.

"Heeeey there sugar." he said gently. "You all right?"

Lysander beamed at Melvin. "Yeah but I'm not too upset about it. I'm sure eventually they'll let me off." He knew he should dislike the other man but today it was honestly so hard to, he just seemed like he needed a hug.

He moved to sit next to the other man, struggling to remember why he had thought he was a scumbag.

"Hear you are still a weird loner. I hope that clears up for you man."

"Show him your dance moves!" It was obvious that Vash had eaten some of the cookies, based solely on the fact that his usual scowl had been brightened into a smile, instead. It relaxed his face, and made him look more open, approachable. He leaned in toward Melvin, still settled near him after their date, and then pointed down at his feet.

"I taught him how to dance," Vash offered toward Lysander, with a flash of teeth in his face. "He's definitely a weird loner, but he doesn't completely suck."
