Sephos watched as others worked on one of the shelters. He was not idle - he was contemplating a new patch of garden by one of the paths. Something nice needed to be there, and he was thinking some sort of bush that would change with the seasons. The more seasons with leaves the better, but was there a plant that stayed foliated for all the seasons except for darkwinter? Or would he have to settle for evergreens with a few changing plants? He did want it to be lively all sweep-round, and he didn't want to have to replant it all the time...
Evergreen it was, then. He swung off the wall he'd been sitting on and headed back to the greenhouse. He'd get the plants ready and then begin planting and mulching as soon as possible, preferably - hardy plants or not, they would likely not be happy if he didn't get them in before a frost.

Dealing with repairing plumbing and learning to tweak and fix electrical wiring was different from the repair Tsarzi had been doing so far, but no less important. With some instruction, a couple of booklets and written notes, she threw herself into it was the same determination she met any other task she set herself to with. It seemed a mundane skill, but the ability to repair and maintain your own hive and general function of your hive like this was incredibly useful. The practical experience and hands on learning were definitely up her alley..

"Um- yes. This way." She took point to, well, wherever they were supposed to go with these. Hemera hefted her bag over her shoulder, and easily sauntered over, keeping pace with Nictor and looking back occasionally to make sure he was still doing okay before they finally made it and Nictor spoke to her again.
Mera blinked at the question. "Hm? Oh. Well, it's a matter of perspective. To Pagoni, it's like cutting off a limb and melting it without a second thought. But, obviously, it isn't like that. You could equivocate it shed feathers. I know I personally do. But he takes it very personally. So, I guess I must admit I envy having such an agreeable lusus as your own. You appear to have a nice relationship, and I'm glad for it."
Hemera clearly felt no malice, in her body language or voice or face. Nictor needed all the good things he could get. Hemera, however. Well. She was just stronger, and was equipped for her lot in life.

After the hassle of getting clean up coordinated and started at the road site, Lupos insisted on getting some kind of refreshment or downtime. He was making the decision that she needed to cool her heals just a bit from the heavy work. Tsarzi considered it, very nearly ready to argue the point, but they were reaching the final push. She wanted to be in good enough decision to help with that, not have to sit by and watch due to exhaustion So she dropped by city hall, fetched a drink, and took a round of the settlement, collecting forgotten trash and debris for disposal.

"Huh," Nictor uttered quietly, rubbing his cheek in thought. It wasn't something he usually delved into, he just sorta didn't think about other troll's lusii. He had to know they existed, but he sorta assumed most of them got eaten or something horrible. It was really weird to think about. Especially weird to hear that Hemera's was so picky.
The idea of cutting a limb off and melting it down was rather disturbing though.
"I, uh, m' s-sorry th----at yours is ah, n-not a-agreeable?" It came out like a queston but he did feel a bit sad and still sorta confused at the idea. That strange incongruous concept was waylaid at Hemera's final comment, Nictor seeming to perk up a little. Beehemoth was invaluable to him and he always felt happy when Bee received praise or kindness of any kind. "Y-yeah, we've a-always g---otten along."
There was a lot of bustle around here, and it made Nictor tense, but at least no one too close to him. Well, Hemera was, but he was comfortable enough that he didn't think anything bad would come of it. Still, the loud clatter of steel beams dropping made him flinch and glance nervously as an argument broke out.
Should, uh, should they go help with that? He didn't exactly want to insert himself into the midst of things, but well. He felt sorta bad just watching. He grimaced a little, looking to Hemera for direction. He came to help, but he'd rather follow what she was doing than lead them into a mess himself.

These lawn ornaments looked ridiculous and served no true purpose other than aesthetic appeal. And even that poor. Cartoonish caricatures. Though those rocks with teeth caught her eye for being absolute oddities. They had this collection of the things to be used and places they wanted decorated, so ornaments it was. Lupos kept commentary on Tsarzi asking where they got the rocks to himself.

The cobblestone pathways had turned out rather nice, level with the ground and s**c and span. Now they were laying down little decorative brick borders and building a pond. Or wanting to build a pond. Tsarzi intervened before they could start, telling them on no uncertain terms to go get a final confirmation on being allowed to do that before actually digging a hole into the city hall grounds. With that done, she assisted in laying the bricks, waiting to see if the trolls looking for a pond came back with a confirmation or a denial.

Hemera had resigned herself to her lusus situation a while ago, and wasn't looking for pity. But, she knew Nictor was just trying to be kind. Nothing condescending about it. He certainly needed the kindness of a lusus like Beehemoth more than she did, anyway. She could handle a frictional relationship. It built character, or something. Whatever rationale made it a litte less, well, what it was.
All she could do was smile sadly. "Thank you, Nictor."
Not long after, some beams fell. Mera quickly worried that a structure was collapsing or the like, but no. Just an argument.
She caught Nictor's glance. Should they help? Really, it depended on the situation at hand. "We'll see how it develops. If it escalates, then it's the time to intervene." People should be able to be trusted to get through their issues on their own, to start, anyway.
