~{Amano Tora}~ Tora busted through a fallen door, kicking it out of the way as she stomped out onto the street, a rare frown creasing her face. "What the hell is going on? I hope Dad's ok!"What she failed to notice she had just walked into, however, was a large group of what she could only describe as demons. Noticing she was surrounded, Tora quickly used the app on her phone to summon a demon, different from her usual one, and struck a fighting pose. After fighting for quite some time, Tora and her demon had managed to beat the attacking group, sending the few which were still able to move fleeing. Dusting her hands off and cheering, Tora moved to highfive the small Kodama, but was left hanging. "Well, whatever, let's go see if we can find anyone else, including Dad! He should be ok..." "Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way.." he called introspectively, watching as a demon waddled closer to him. He flipped the blade over, and bashed it over the head with the flat of the blade, knocking it out, instead of tearing it asunder. He waited for a few moments....before just swinging with his other blade instead, the Magatsuhi dispersing it, and forming into a Token.
"Nah....Something tells me killing the ones that come after me is the right idea. At least, right now. "Yooo! Seta-meister!" he called out, waving his blades as if they were an extension of his arm. He quickly darted over to the Senior with his carefree, cheery grin...As he flipped out his phone.
"Need a heal? I'm sure my.....Nue can patch you up. You feeling okay, my man? You look like more than the angry dooter has been getting to you."
He lightly bounced in place, even as they remained still. He really was an uncontainable ball of energy....but the silver haired cool-guy senior looked troubled. And, as a vague acquaintance that had travelled alongside him in a dimension where the worlds were connected and twisted....

Minori Koroko  Minori nodded at Nix, her eyes following her as the silverette moved in the opposite direction. "Nix! Tell him that we will catch up to him later! And and! Give him a hug for me when you see him." If the snowy haired girl had heard her, she didn't know... and with a sigh and her stomach in knots, she turned back to Genji. He smiled at her weakly, and the blond girl shook her head lightly, trying to ease him. She could imagine what kind of thoughts were crossing his mind...and she couldn't let him think that. "I am doing this because I want to, Genji. We...can look for Soji and Nanako-chan and Dojima san after we make sure your family is safe." She had faith in them...
Still...they couldn't take too long. While it was true Soji was tough...and Dojima san would protect Nanako against anything and everything...this world was something neither of them have ever encounter. They needed to hurry...they didn't know how much time they had.
Her cheeks flushed when he pressed his lips to her hand, and couldn't help her smile softening, her arms wrapping around him for a moment. Her gaze was warm, soft...getting lost in his ashen orbs...and for that moment, she felt safe. The blond squeezed his hand and without letting go, she continued forward. "We need to get there before the sun goes down..."

~{Amano Tora}~Strolling through the streets, Tora looked through the broken entrances to all the buildings, checking to see if anyone was still alive. "This is terrible, who could do this to so many people?"She was feeling sick from the smell of everything, but she kept pushing forward, wanting to find someone. Suddenly, from above, a demon landed in front of her, but she gave it no time to attack. She and the little Kodama launched at it, both punching it at the same time, and it fell down to it's knees. Tora was about to try and question it, but the Kodama, thinking for itself, finished the demon off before she could. "Why'd you do that? "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was a shame to see the Red Viper go; having such a steadfast ally fighting alongside him would be pretty comforting, let alone considering the incredible team they would make fighting back-to-back. Then again, there was some truth to the idea that holders of the Candelabra could never truly be allies so long as they both held the Fiend's Flame. Eventually, they would have to fight one another if there was ever to be some measure of closure to this cursed 'Tournament' that the Lord of Darkness had either chosen them all for or tricked them all into over time. That didn't mean that he wanted to fight against Obelyn, Kisa, or even Mataki when it came down to it, though...or even that he intended to do so. But so long as he held onto his own, he was a target and a threat to any of them. He flipped his hand out and summoned the Candelabrum into his hand, giving it a once-over again as if to appraise it...to see if he could understand what it was that drove so many of the fiercest devils ever conceived to seek after it so lustily. Did they possess some sort of power? Would they be what imbued you with the power that someone like Tala possessed now? Or was there something more, a choice, or a freedom that came inherent with all of them united?
It was such a small flame...but it burned eternal, never needing to be lit by him or extinguished. It simply was...a terrifying flame, yet not intimidating on its own. What was he to do with it?
...His search of the Inn, in the end, had been as fruitless as the Textile Shop, the Tofu Shop, and Junes, but he had learned much about the cruelty of the world as it was now, and fought through a horde of deadly demons that had nearly taken from him far more than just his life. Somewhere out there, maybe they already had...but maybe they hadn't. It was the latter hope which he believed in strongly, putting to rest for now thoughts of loss and deciding that Obelyn was onto something in his advice to move forward. It was the only way for him to survive...for humanity to survive.
He dismissed the Candelabra and heard the shouts of a mass of demons from the far side of the Inn, stragglers for the Trumpeter's ambush he imagined, and decided that it was time to let Black Frost free to wreak a little havoc among them while he made his escape. It was a pain to part with a demon that strong, but they weren't leaving him with a lot of choice. It was either that or the gallows, so to speak.

Yeah, tall guy, long coat!"She managed to catch up with the man, who introduced himself, reluctantly it seemed, as Dante. Through him, she learned that there were other people still alive, students from the school she was about to attend, other cities where people were fighting, and how should could get there through some Amala Network thing. "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"Somewhere on the far side of town, he knew Minori and Genji were likely still together somewhere; they were fighting, traveling, or some combination in between. They were surviving, of that he had no doubts, but where they were going next was a question worth considering. Now that the Inn had turned up all it was going to turn up, he started slowly down the path back towards town, hoping that Black Frost would be able to keep the bandits staying there safe from everything that might come their way. He couldn't just stay there and protect them, no matter how much he would have wanted to, but the big, black snowball was a good candidate if you were looking for a guardian angel...even if he was still full of mischief, he wouldn't lose a fight so easily. No, now his attention needed to turn towards reuniting with the others to make sure they were safe. After that, he thought, it would be as good a time as any to start seeking out the remaining names on the list...not the list of bounties posted by Obelyn, but that list...the one that Kisa had mentioned before. He didn't exactly know which of the devils had the Candelabra, but he knew that they made particular sounds and lights from his interactions with the Red Viper when they were near to one another. He'd been warned to run, only he hadn't. Gathered from that data, Obelyn's probably did the same thing and he ignored it because he wanted to encounter fiends.
He wished he could hear that man's entire story, but there was no time. Not when another massive devil was rushing across the sands in his direction with a vengeance...Girimekhala, rampaging across the sands perhaps in search of some sort of prey now that the Trumpeter (obviously the alpha to the demons right onw) had left the hunting grounds. Soji flipped open his phone casually as his doom approached, and when an interesting option appeared on the App before him, he had to sigh at the unusual nature of it.
"The things we do..." he pressed the button and let the power fill him...but as he did, he could also hear that damned horn inside of his head and it made him want to strangle Obariyon more than one could ever know. He pushed that thought aside and met the rampaging elephant, cutting it smoothly at the knees and letting it tumble, circling slowly back and pressing the tip of his blade into its neck and watching it disperse into nothing.
It was a few moments later, as he caught his breath, that Shun caught him trying to gather his thoughts and plan his next move. There was nowhere to go but to find his friends, he'd rationalized, but now that one of his newer friends had found him, he had a moment or two to spare.
"I'm all right. I've been through it, but it's nothing I'm not used to," he wiped his blade on his jacket's arm and let out a breath, replacing it where he kept it a moment later, "It's just that I'm looking for my friends...from before all of this. They lived in the Textile Shop, Tofu Shop, at Junes, and here, at the Amagi Inn. But I couldn't find any of them. No luck on any of them, though. You know how it is, I imagine..."Quote: 39 Tokens

Barely making it one hundred metres down the road, a big demon, larger than most she had seen so far, leapt out at her, taking the girl by surprise. "Not another one, stop attacking me already! I just want to find people!"Tora and her little Kodama barely managed to beat it back, but only to the point where it pulled back, allowed them to run away. Shun Fujomaki"More to less.." the boy remarked, lightly shrugging his shoulders as he looked around. "I'd like to say I've seen em...but, I don't even know who your friends were before this. Though, if you give me a rough description, I can keep you posted if I find any of them."
He bounced on his toes, not particularly concerned by the way the world was turning. He didn't really have any pals from beforehand, only a merciless sister.
'Knowing my luck, she's going to be leading these things.' he thought, before shaking that worrying thought away.
"I haven't gotten any new videos on Mysterious girl, so I think she's still okay. Probably even better than that, knowing her type. Though.."
He whipped around at this, a small horde of demons coming towards them. "Ooone moment! Nue!" he called, summoning forth the..spacey demon, as he pulled out some 'snacks' for him, actually the tokens. "Give me and Seta a minute to talk....And I'll join ya then."
They scattered to the ground as the demon went to work, and he turned back to his friend, smiling lightly.
"I'll come running if you're in danger too, pal. No exceptions."
It was a faint friendship...but, he felt like it would be long-lasting. If nothing else...

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was true, he hadn't described his friends to Shun, and since he couldn't recall exactly where or when he might have seen him before the world went to Hell, Soji had to guess that he wouldn't know them by name or association to him. Descriptions weren't so hard, though. He had the benefit of having some very recognizable (and in some cases, even famous) friends. Made the describing part easy when all you had to do was say a name and let the memories of television do the work! It was the finding that was actually proving to be the biggest challenge of all. And the list that he needed to hunt down only grew by the minute as he continued to oscillate between his responsibilities to their safety individually and to fighting the threats to the entire town...no...the entire world. He couldn't prioritize one too highly at the risk of letting the other go to waste. It was a balance he would find tougher to keep as the days went on, he imagined. But if they could kill the Trumpeter (or Angry Dooter as his new amigo had suggested), they might get a little closer to some of the answers they wanted. That was what his instincts told him.
But first...finding his friends had to come first.
"Satonaka is a short girl, but a fighter. Light brown hair, kicks like a freight train, green jacket with some flair. Kanji is huge, with bleached hair, and while he looks like a thug and fights like a Boss thug, he's...actually pretty friendly when you get to know him. Got a scar on his forehead and shoulders the size of a double-wide, so you can't miss him. As for the others..." he went on to describe those who were missing...Rise, Yukiko...Teddie, Yosuke, Naoto...even Nanako and Dojima, all after the two of them dispatched the ambush coming their way. And once it was done, he brushed a little blood from his fingertips and the blade once again, nodding at Shun's odd-styled words of solidarity.
"Sure, thanks," his lips creased into a small smile as he agreed to the proposal to help one another, though he knew that he would soon be moving on from the Inn to search for the others..the ones he had met already, at least, "You're my eyes out there, Goose." Probably should have gone with Iceman, because of the whole accident thing mid-movie with Goose, but Goose fit the quote and Soji wasn't one to back out on a reference. It just didn't work. You had to commit. And he had committed. Like a man in a white jacket at a forced-admission asylum...he had committed.Quote: 39 Tokens

Cai-Zhi appeared behind the enemy and let out a mighty "baa", summoning a mighty chain of lighting that hit every enemy and sufficiently ended the battle.

"...You see the surface, but my eyes see more..."She always had the right words to make him believe, not just in what she was saying, but in himself...in what they were doing...in the idea that the world was just going to be all right in the end. And when she held him for a moment, and he held her, it felt like they could take on the whole world full of demons together and nothing would get inside of their circle of sanctuary. But no sooner had she pulled away from him than she would see that there was an almost familiar white glow about his eyes, tinted a faint blue-green. Looking down the path towards the direction they were heading, a lumbering Ubelluris was moving its giant, rock body down the street in their direction, and it seemed from the general path it was taking to have already noticed them. His body began to glow shortly thereafter, his eyes growing more intense as he stepped around her and moved out to meet the massive rock creature, his aura around his hands filling out even more as he stared it down. This one...he would handle on his own.
"I have no desire to kill you; my hands were not made for killing," he warned the demon as he came closer, raising a rock fist as if to strike at him and smash him into the dust beneath it...a cause that would, sadly for the creature, never be seen through to completion, "Very well...I am sorry for what I must now do."Quote: 26 Tokens.
