Falaya was never one to give up, so they chose to try another tactic. They found a corner to hide in and waited, for what felt like forever to the mutant hybrid. Falaya almost fell asleep waiting for a lone goober to slink past, but finally one did, and Falaya was sure to hop on it!
"Mineminemine!" they chirped happily. "You and I are gonna be best buddies yes yes yes!"
The slime wasn't so sure about that.

Lace was wondering what all the noise was from down the hall, so he finally decided to check it out. There were a lot of people here! And they were chasing....things. Lace had never seen any of these things before, but everyone seemed super interested in catching one, so maybe he could catch one too! He always wanted a friend to take care of, so maybe the caretakers would let him keep it!
He weaved through the fray, wanting to pick out the one that seemed the prettiest looking. After some consideration, he found a very nice looking one and just plucked it up into his arms. Everyone was making this look so hard! Where they just trying too much? It didn't matter. His new friend seemed content in his arms, and that made Lace very happy!

   Kyleigh squeaked when she felt something squishy hit her in the back of the head. Pale hands flew to her hair as she whirled around to see what it was. Thankfully nothing had stuck to her hair but the hallway was suddenly filled with little... slime things. They were kind of cute. In a kind of gross way. She reached out to see if she could catch one.
And catch one she did! It was cute...looked kind of like a fey...Taegan laughed softly as they watched the slimes bounce around the walls and run into others. Maybe one of them would like to come home with them. They reached out as one jumped toward them, laughing.Bibiana squealed in delight as she ran around the hallway like a freshling trying to catch one of the slimes for herself. They were so cute!!

Squishy things. Omid couldn't help but find them fascinating. They had never seen something like this before, and apparently if one could catch one of these creatures they could keep them. Omid hated to admit that they were feeling lonely once their friend had graduated the academy so quickly, so perhaps one of these creatures could help fill the emptiness he had been experiancing as of late.
If they weren't so hard to catch...

 Taegan kept trying to catch one for themself, having a pretty good time chasing after the gooey looking little things. "C'mere, goo-ball," they cooed lightly with a laugh. "Don't you want a nice home?"Bibiana kept giggling as she chased after any slime that came close enough. She couldn't possibly concentrate on a getting hold of a single one. Her attention span just wasn't that good!Lestari tried to avoid getting hit by the slimey looking things but one smacked against her leg and she squealed but it didn't leave a residue, oddly enough. She squinted at the lot of them and decided they were kind of cute, so she reached down to try and grab the one that hit her.

Omid, becoming a bit angry now, found a small pile of the things off in a corner nearby. They quickly thrust their hand into the pile and grasped onto something, and ended up pulling out a catch! Glad to have the ordeal over with, they gathered the goo up into their arms and quickly moved themselves out of the area.

 This was not okay. She had only just come to the academy and all hell broke lose already? This was not boding well at all. She thought that coming here would allow her to broaden her horizons and some...slime outbreak happens? This was absolutely not okay! The naga frantically tried to sign to people as they ran past her...no one would spare her a moment though.
Where was Ollie when she needed him? He was always by her side! He was her voice in the crowded room! Oh no. What if the slimes took him? Mitra became more panicked by the minute. This was not good. Not good at all. She quickly tried to find a quiet place, there was no point in trying to reason with the other students, there was no trying to even talk to the other students! She tried her best to fight back the tears that were threatening to fall.
Her dorm! Surely there wouldn't be any slimes there! Because she was deaf they ended up giving her a room to herself and she knew that she closed the door behind her. Slithering as quickly as she could she made her way back to her safe spot. In her rush she wasn't paying much attention and slammed straight into another student. Brushing off the pain that she knew would cause a bruise she straightened back up and as she focused her attention she saw it was her bakeneko! In a tizzy she signed "Ollie, what in the world is going on? Are you okay? I'm so sorry!" before she grabbed his hand and continued to her dorm.

 She had absolutely no idea what was going on, but whatever it was...it sure seemed like a lot of fun! There were all these weird little slime creatures roaming around the halls! Some of them looked super duper cute. Nefertiti promised herself that she would catch one of them before the day was done. It just had to happen!

 Lilo was lazily walking to class, perfectly fine with the fact that they were going to be super late. It was one measly class, why did it even matter anyway? All would have been well until they heard the shrieks of the other students. Maybe it was the theater class again. The baphomet paid absolutely no attention to the panic going on around them. Student after student ran past and still Lilo paid them no mind. Theater was a ridiculous waste of time.
As they were walking down the halls, ignoring everyone around them, a drop of slime smacked them in the face. Lilo's eyes grew wide behind their bangs. Slowly lifting a hand up to the glob on their head and trying to wipe it away. They squeezed their eyes shut. What. The. Crap. This was absolutely disgusting! Before they could really react some weirdo approached them, asking them about the slimes. The baphomet turned on their heels quickly, glaring from behind their bangs, slime dripping from their head. "How do you think I feel about the slimes?!"
Seriously? After seeing what had just happened to them someone really wanted to come up to them and ask them such a dumb question?Huni Pi You wanna join in on Lilo getting slimed on?

 *thud* Nastara hit the wall a bit harder than she'd intended and the slime bounced off her instead of into her arms. She laughed it off and bounced off the wall herself, going running outside to try her luck. She skidded out the door, and there were still slimes Everywhere! She screamed with delight and ran out to the gardens, and began poking among the plants to find the hidden delights of slimes.

She began playing Hide and seek among the plants with the bouncing smiles, having a ball of a time, she knew that she should perhaps be helping round up the creatures but it was soooo much fun playing with them she couldn't resist! Bouncing through the plants she squealed and was getting throughly dirty covered in sticky slime and dirt and flower petals and it was amazing. She caught site of another one and peeked around a bush for it and it ducked behind then she waited and peeked again, then made a dive for it....

 Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew!! Whatever was happening at this school was absolutely disgusting! Rasia was minding her own business, making herself beautiful for the day when some disgusting thing decided it would be okay to peep in on her while she picked out her outfit! Just another reason school was the literal worst thing in the world. Hopefully her best friend Mao wasn't going through the same nightmare as she was.
