Of course not. Friends don't always agree on everything. If they did that would just be weird.

Glitter Girl LadyElla64 I will never do drugs or drink. I have a few friends who like to try it, and one who takes it because she's "depressed" and she calls it "her way to escape from it", but it's a load of s**t, really. No one needs alcohol (which is a depressant, Holly!) to make themselves feel better. Yes, I get called a loser by a few of them, but I don't care. They're the losers in the end. I'm sorry, but thats kind of rude. Especially seeing as we have a recovering alcoholic here. Two actually. I drank because I was depressed. I drank because for that short period of time I didn't hurt so bad. I felt very lonely after my parents moved and D's father wasn't the biggest help. So, I started drinking more. It is a way to escape. Its wrong, but it happens. Sad to say, but the reason I quit my weekends of drinking till I was numb because I found out I was pregnant. I'm glad I had my son because it woke me up to what I was doing to myself. I don't know that just kind of hurt because you don't undrestand what its like to be that loser you're talking about. Its not right for her or any of us to do this, but you're not really helping either. *huggles* I quit when I found out I was pregnant too! Wow, you know that was the first time I've been called a recovering alcoholic? It kinda startled me. It's totally true but I guess I never fessed up to it. sweatdrop

Well, I'll tell you all before I was pregnant, my vice in life was moving. I'm serious... I moved and changed jobs like they were shoes... I just thrived in a constant cycle of changing factors of my life... but, I only did it two more times after I had naaman. Now, I look back when i did it and wonder if my moving affected his mal-developed sense of communication. neutral
and, just for the record, my above statement wasn't to argue or stir up anything. I just really get vehement about people who act condescending... it's one of my biggest pet peeves in life. If I see it, or think I see it... I get all OCD on it. sweatdrop
I have had to take a break from going to church cause of it. I was getting into soo many with fights with people who acted that way all the time and could never see it in themselves.

For one, I hate the taste. I would much rather overdose on chocolate!

And there's nothing wrong with that Ella; I've always had the same "attitude" that I was above it. I think this topic got a little out of hand. This is GPG not GD so we don't to be on edge watching for "insults" here. If you feel that way, there is nothing wrong with it.

Neko girl Manda *huggles Chyra*
heart That is indeed the best present you could give yourself.
I've always been wary of drugs and alcohol; my father is an alcoholic so I choose not to drink very often or very much for fear that it will get out of control and that I'll be one too. Both my parents and a lot of my friends were alcoholics and druggies, so that's why I chose never to get into it all. I did experiment here and there with certain things (and I do enjoy the VERY occasional drink), but thankfully, I just never really got interested in all that. I have seen how drugs and alcohol can screw a life over *looks at her parents stare * and it ain't pretty. I don't feel like I am ' above' people who like (or are addicted to) drugs or alcohol, it's just not my thing. I still do have close friends who are drinkers and/or druggies, but they respect my feelings so I respect their's as well.

People can get addicted to almost anything. So it really isn't something to look down on anyone else about.
I have an addictive personality. When I was in HS, it was drums. When I was a senior in HS and first year of college, it was running. After that it was alcohol and smoking. Let me tell you it was extremely hard to get out from under those vices. Then it was... well nevermind that. Now it is Gaia. And did I hear anyone mention Mexican (drool). Why don't I hear anyone ever look down on people about liking Mexican? xp
Let's just laugh about it and move on since this seems to be a touchy subject.

[Mini-rant]
K and I are going into our new place yesterday when we see our next door neighbor. So we decide to just introduce ourselves since that's just what we think is natural. (Wouldn't you like to start off on a good footing with your neighbors?) Anyway, she doesn't even smile. She turns around, scowls, and starts going off about how she couldn't find a parking spot within 10 feet of her condo. She had to park 20 feet away. She kept on saying stuff like, "You know you are only suppose to have 2 cars per condo." We just smiled and nodded, mainly because we were shocked about her behaivor. (BTW, we only have one car.) I've been here a week and have never, never had a problem getting a parking spot close, and I have been going in and out like 10 times a day or more because of just errands that you have to do with a new place.
I know that you are suppose to be nice to everyone. You are suppose to love your neighbor as yourself. But, damn, how in this world can anyone expect me to be nice to her. I had seen her a few times beforehand in the week. But (and this is foreshadowing) I had been afraid to introduce myself to her since she was always screaming at her dog. Poor dog. If I were that dog I would bite her just for spite. But I would suspect that she would be vengeful and put it to sleep or something. ARG!!!!
We got the feeling that she thought that just because we were in our 20s, that we were no good renters and therefore bad people. In the real world, people don't respect you because your young. On Gaia, people think you are weird because your over 12 and still on here. I swear!
[/mini-rant]
Does anyone know what the best stuff to clean up some really nasty shower would be? We seem to have mildew and black stains really bad in the grout. I'm using the foaming Tilex, and it seemed to help a little but it still looks pretty bad. The generic Comet was ok, but that is only for the surface. Tomorrow I am planning on trying some Kaboom.

Tet: Try anything with bleach in it for cleaning the grout. That will help kill germs as well. 3nodding
