And the Mother Lodes kept coming. Rota was glad that the mine understood the situation and wanted to see him off on a high note. He picked up the pace, feeling the ale starting to fade. he was racing time now so he would finish this mining before the light in his system was fully gone. As fun as mining was, Rota was just about ready to be done with it. This had far overstayed its welcome, and was easily one of the more tedious things he had put himself through. it was a necessary evil though. It would all be worth it when he was done.

Rota was nearly done. He had his a productivity speed bump again, but in the long run he was still leagues ahead of what he had projected to get. this was good because he needed every piece of iron ore he could get his hands on to repair the Demon Greatsword. He made a symbolic promise to that blacksmith that he intended to keep. He refused to let it stay in disrepair for any longer.

This was it. Rota could feel the ale swiftly fading from his system. This would be the last few minutes of the ale so he had to make them count. Every strike was calculated and considered. He went to great lengths to make sure he was always hitting the optimum weak spots for maximum yield. Whatever he got now would be what he dealt with. There would be no going back.

And with that, the ale wore off and Rota's mining escapade was over and done with. He patted Little One on the head and reflected on the staggering numbers he was able to pull in. This was truly a testament to his skill now, and no one could take this away from him. He took his time collecting his materials, just in case something decided to show up at the last minute, but largely he wasn't holding his breath.
Alyx was done with upgrading his equipment for the time being. He was on a mission to learn a new skill, and lightforging fit the bill. Having the option to heal others was incredible in theory, but in its current form, it was simply not adequate. So Alyx wanted to explore the skills that created healing items and see if there was any way to make the items themselves more effective. Crafting seemed to be engineered in such a way as to make the economy player-based, limiting the usefulness of computer-generated items and making the player-made items much more valuable. It stood to reason that healing items would follow that same trend, and that one could create more effective or valuable versions themselves. Alyx followed the Lightsmith's instructions and calibrated the forge to the appropriate settings, using one of the quartz crystals that Rota had given him.

Anna- Mia walked back into town, feeling mostly defeated. She didn't let herself get discouraged though. Making friends with her family before wasn't easy either, so she just needed to remain vigilant. She went over to the bunnies keeper, and using what money she had left she bought 100 bait. She thanked him, and using one bag of the powder that her Big Brother had given her, she sugared the bait until it was covered in a fine candy coating. Rota had assured her that this would be more effective of a bait than normal. She had to believe in that.
((spent 1000 glint to buy 100 bait, and then 1 candy seasoning to convert them into 100 candy bait.)
Anna-mia decided it was finally time to finish what she had started long ago. She now had the proper tools to start her job off right. Nothing was going to escape her this time, she was sure of it. She walked carefully through the undergrowth, until she came across her target: another bunny. She smiled wide as she revealed herself, which did spook the bunny a bit but before it could move her deft hands had thrown a piece of bait. She was not losing another bunny, she swore it.

She had done it! The piece of bait rocketed from her hand and pegged the bunny! Anna-Mia celebrated as the Rabbit began glowing a bright blue and exploded into shards. With this, Anna-Mia would normally freak out, but her brother Rota had assured her that this would happen. It was now up to the Rabbit's will if it came back friendly. He had warned her of animals coming back stronger and rage filled in his experience, but it had never happened with taming to him. She hoped that was because it couldn't happen.

The bunny hadn't gotten back up. Anna-Mia was glad about that to an extent. She needed one to stand back up for her, but she also didn't want to see the darkness that lied within them either. Just as she was thinking about this, a Deer began sprinting past her. Not wanting to waste an opportunity, and the beginnings of a plan forming in her head, she threw a piece of bait at it. With any luck, her pitching arm would stay consistently good. She didn't know how well she could do if it ran farther.

Anna-Mia had missed. It wasn't a good feeling, but it was at least somewhat expected. All she could do was adjust her aim and try again. For her plan to work, she would need a bunny and a Deer. She HAD to pull this off. If not, she'd have to stick with bunnies for right now. It would delay things, but it would still work.

Anna-Mia had pegged it!...but it had done nothing. That was more disheartening than she could adequately describe. All she could do now was watch it gallop into the distance, and wait for the next thing she needed to come along. Likely a bunny. She needed to get slightly better before she tried out deer, apparently.

Anna-Mia had to wait for a while before the next bunny bounced her way, but she was glad when it did. She reached into her bait pouch, and tossed one of the pellets at the white ball of fur. It was still a little amusing that this was how things worked here in the gloomwood. It would have made things so much easier when she had her family before. She just wished that wicked man hadn't taken all of them away. What was his deal anyways? Why go around needlessly ruining peoples lives like that?

Anna-Mia managed to peg another bunny. She was glad she was having much more success with these now. As she watched it explode into blue light, she waited patiently to see if tamed beast could in fact "stand back up". it was an important question to ask, since she had no intention of truly killing these things. If not, she'd have to find someone willing to do her dirty work for a little bit, as much as she hated the idea.

The bunny didn't stand up, and another tentative sigh of relief escaped her lips. All that she could do is wait for the next bunny to come around. While she waited, her thoughts drifted back to the long walk to this 'tower' that her big brother talked with her about. The woods that she grew up in were lush and green...but ever since the thief took her family the woods had been disturbingly quiet. She had never liked to be alone. It's why she was glad the creatures of the wood had taken her in to begin with. She was able to have a family despite her real parents...anyways her brother had led her through the forests towards where the tower was supposed to be, telling her stories the whole way. His father, Rolia, seemed like such a nice man. She wished she could meet him one day. Just as she wiped a small tear from her eye, a bunny came into view. She smiled at her newfound furry friend. "You all always did know how to cheer me up. Please come with me, bunny!" and she threw yet another piece of candy bait out. She would do this as long as it took.

She had hit the bunny, but it didn't go down. it had dodged most of the bait, softening the impact. that would not happen again. Anna-Mia cocked back another pitch, and heaved it as fast as she could. She could deal with Deer running away right now, but not bunnies. The faster she got this done, the sooner she could be reunited with her family. Every runaway was getting in the way of that goal. That would not stand. Anna-Mia was a patient girl, but that she would not tolerate.
