↳Wow, and he thought he was just angry. Looking at his new friend though... she wasn’t just angry. He’d seen a fair share of other people’s tempers during school hours, luckily never directed at himself. Schoolmates around him would get pissed about many different things, big or small. Their plights didn't feel anything like this here. Aelin was absolutely livid. Tsubin didn’t blame her. Lack of voice in the matter of a future with a family would’ve driven him to rebel as well, especially for being seen as just a face and body. As she stood across from him, seething, Tsubin imagined she would be emitting wisps of energy, or like.... fire, or lightning, or something, if all those fantasy powers were real or if she were probably a pokemon. Would she have set the fire alarm above them off? He wouldn't be surprised if she actually started steaming up, so... More than likely. It was a brief thought, but he wondered if he should run and duck for cover and brace himself for a shockwave if she literally exploded from her growing rage.
Goodness, his imagination just loved to run.
And she was more than determined to stay away from her folks. It felt like a lofty goal, but he hoped it was attainable. "Hmm.... Pretty sure there's a way to legally separate yourself from all this," he mused. "In the case of your family, it might be hard to tell how difficult it would be, seeing that you're already considered an adult and they're sending people after you. Dunno how much a restraining order would actually help, but I think the main part is that you have a place to stay and independently make income for yourself, and try to cut off contact from there?" At least that's what he remembered from Wiki-walking for fun when he happened to end up on the page after clicking the link for random articles. It wasn't something he'd be looking up specifically because of his family anyway. He knew it wasn't a completely effective method for everyone though, but he wanted to have hope to share. Leaving a life of luxury sounded like a whole different struggle too.
The bright yellow furball in his hands yapped and growled in Aelin's direction again. Tsubin adjusted his hold on the Zapom, shifting his right arm under the dog and turning him so he would be sitting on his forearm as his left arm crossed over his front so they were both facing Aelin. "Do you have these little guys in Galar?" he asked curiously. She hadn't mentioned anything about finding them over there. He also wondered if they were anywhere else, having only seen them in the large cities he had visited aside from Slateport and Rustboro. He turned his head, glancing back to his backpack in his peripheral as he contemplated getting a snack to give to Haystack, but decided the pocket was too far for the moment, looking back over to the door as the nurse came to retrieve them. Their newfound habit of teasing flustered the nurse, and he shot the woman an innocent smile as if he never said what he just did in the first place. Following along into the room, he sat back down in one of the chairs, releasing Haystack from his hold and letting him sit on his lap as he took his backpack off to rummage through the pocket he was eyeing earlier. He removed a pack of fruit snacks, pulling one piece out of the small bag after opening it and folding it back closed, holding the fragrant snack in front of Haystack's face. "Wouldn't dream of it 'cuz I'm not of age?" he jested with a smirk as the nurse left the room and closed the door behind her, leaving them alone. The yellow puppy pokemon sniffed the piece loudly before licking at it a few times, soon opening his tiny maw and gently taking the snack from between his fingers. It wasn't the first time Tsubin felt sharp little teeth against his hand, but at least this one knew how to be gentle. "By the way Ae, you're not planning on asking about staying the night here, are you?"

Aelin chuckled as the nurse rolled her eyes and left. Mumbling something about teenagers and hormones. Looking back at her friend, she sat on the bed thing and sat back, getting comfortable. They would probably be here for a little bit of time. And she was finally starting to calm down. Tsubin mentioned legally getting away from her family. That could work.. But, her family had so many ties... She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "That could probably work. But I don't know what kind of ties my father has... It would backfire if not done right... But maybe just keeping away will be fine for now." She said as she released her nose. Make income for herself... Perhaps being a trainer would be fine. She sat up as the Zapom yapped at her. She smiled happily, oh she wanted to pet him soooo badly... But she knew not to put her hands... Hand, near a pokemon that was angry.
"I dunno. I don't think I've ever seen them, but they again... I didn't get to do a lot of sightseeing whenever we left Hammerlocke." She shrugged. Then she realized as her over shirt drooped a little. "Oh right! My Phoenix!" She said and chuckled. "So you had wanted to see the scar on my back. Well, since we are waiting for the doc..." The girl helped gravity remove the over shirt from her arms and turned around so her back was towards Tsubin. She moved her hair and looked over one of her shoulders at him. The expanse of scarred flesh that marred her shoulders was pretty expansive...
She could sometimes still feel the fire that had licked at her skin. "I... Have had a bit of a temper since I was a child. And I may have set somethings on fire in that anger. My eldest brother is not allowed to be alone with me after the incident that left this." She chuckled as she squinted at the memory. Aedion still to this day could not believe she had done that for a teddy bear. The same teddy that was in her bag. She loved this scar. It looked like a Phoenix, which was an end and a beginning. She liked to think of her life like that. The ending of the bad, the beginning of the good. "It's uh... Pretty gruesome, but I adore it. I'm surprised I had been wearing the over shirt in the first place. I normally don't cover it." She turned back around to look at her friend.
Then his comment made her smirk. "I would hate for someone to think I was a cradle robber." She giggled. Then took a deep breath. "So, I know we keep throwing these flirty teasing comments back and forth, but I want to make sure... You don't mind them, right? I don't wanna make you uncomfortable." She asked. She didn't want to mess up her new friendship... Her first friendship.
"Oh goodness no. They are probably gonna wrap it and put ointment on it, and give some to me to keep it clean." She said looking at the clean bandage that had already been replaced once while at this hospital.

↳Family ties, huh... He figured wealthy people would really have that kind of power in real life and not just on tv. "Right, that would be a problem..." Tsubin wasn't completely aware of exactly what kind of power those with enough money could do when it came to laws, but he had heard many instances where some wealthy people were able to buy their way out of trouble. Either that and/or bribing law enforcement and officials to do their bidding. That thought had always disgusted him. What even happened to morality these days? "Well, since you're playing keep-away with them for now, maybe temporarily changing something about your appearance might help throw them off a bit more. Anything you like wearing but have never been able to wear at home before? New styles to try?"
She hadn't gotten to see any wild Zapoms before? That was a shame. "Well, it's not like they're rare or anything," Tsubin remarked as he put Haystack on the floor to give him an easier time eating his fruit snack. "As far as I'm aware, Zapoms are pretty common in cities. They're kinda like Pidoves without wings, and they'll swarm you for food if you have any. Could be a nuisance, could be a hazard, so you gotta watch out." He watched the Zapom gnaw on the squishy treat, holding it in place against the floor with a little paw to tear tiny pieces off it as he made little grumbly "nyam nyam" noises, tail wagging. No wonder he got attached to this one in particular. Getting to take him home probably would've been a problem before. Not much good would ever come from bringing a pure-electric type back to a town that literally floated on the sea and had water everywhere, including on the platforms.
He didn't look back up again until Aelin remembered something that had slipped his mind already. It hadn't been all too long since the time they were talking about old scars. And he recalled her saying she'd show him her old burn sometime, but.... He wasn't expecting "sometime" to be like... right now. Her back was turned to him and she was still looking over her shoulder. A lot of elements of what was currently in front of him reminded him of one of those poses in ukiyo-e paintings, save for the scarring on her skin, which he consciously fixated the majority of his focus on. Sure enough, it did have the rough silhouette of a phoenix. "Damn, that must've hurt hella bad." And she caused that fire herself? Tsubin was under the impression that most people would’ve been traumatized and developed a phobia of fire afterward. It seemed to be a different case with her though, hearing her speak so fondly of her old wound. The symbolism was legitimate, he figured. "So you got burned, chose the fire type as a starter, and then burned yourself again," he said, counting off on one hand. "And you got a temper. What are you, a pyromaniac?"

Feels like where I left off with my friends at school, so I’m comfortable. If it gets to be too much for you, I’ll tone it down if you want me to." His gaze wandered down to her injured hand. It wasn’t severe enough to need a skin graft, as far as he could tell. The palm of the hand tended to heal quickly though, but not without leaving scars. Just getting it cleaned off again and getting ointment for it was a quick treatment, and she would probably be able to leave right after with some instructions on continuing treatment herself. He nodded in response, and vaguely wondered how much of her palm would be left completely smooth after recovering completely and leave no identifiable markings on her future handprints. "So no later plans for shelter? In that case, come with me to my uncle’s place after we’re done here. You can use the room my sisters were in whenever we stayed around for school."

Aelin tapped her chin as Tsubin asked if she could change her style or something. Then turned on him, a teasing glint in her narrowed eyes. "Oh I see. You just want to see if I look good as a girly girl as well." She teased. She flipped her hair back over her shoulder and pushed up on the ends of some of it. "I look good even in granny clothes." She continued. Chuckling, Aelin shifted out of the over shirt. "Yes, I have some clothes that I've never worn before. I would just need to figure out a way to do my hair that's not normal for me." She chuckled. The girl had a skirt and crop top style shirt that she could change into. She would never have worn it growing up and... She was kind of excited to wear it.
When Tsubin started to describe how common they were, Aelin felt like she had really been missing something. They were so cute! "Well then, guess I'll just have to find one! Other than Haystack of course!" She said chuckling. A nuisance? "Oh I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm a nuisance and you seem to like me well enough! I want to see a wild one. They just seem so... Electrifying." She chuckled. Missing what she said completely. She happily watched the small pup eat it's treat. It had the treat pressed against the floor. Gosh, she was kind of jealous. This little feisty creature just screamed at her.
"Yeah... It did, but at the same time... I was happier to have gotten my item back. My big brother had taken something from me, and I wanted it back. OH well." She put her foot up on the bed thing as she waited for the nurse to come back with the doctor. "I feel as though I'm not legally able to say anything but no." She chuckled about being a pyro. "I picked fire, because it's not like they have the option for dragon types. Duh." She continued to giggle as she looked at her hand. She would probably have some pain for a couple weeks. But as long as they didn't try anything too hard, she would be fine. "I do like fire, but I wouldn't say i'm a Pyromaniac. I'm just... a fire lover."
"Oh, so if you failed a year? That makes total sense. Gosh, glad i'm not flirting with such a young boy! That would be so awkward!" She giggled. And nodded as Tsubin gave her the okay.to continue, "Okay! Oh, you have family nearby? That would be nice. Thank you... You don't think your uncle will mind?" She asked.
However, just then the nurse and doctor came in. He unwrapped her hand and looked it over. "Well, at least it's not infected... So we just want to keep it wrapped, moist enough so it doesn't get too dry, and clean. I'll instruct the nurse which ointments to give you." It took maybe five or so minutes for the doctor to rewrap her hand with the cleaning and oitment. Aelin nodded and continued to listen as the nurse and doctor gave her the instructions. Once they left, Aelin asked Tsubin to meet her at the entrance. She was going to go ahead and change. Once he left, she quickly changed into the skirt and shirt. She also decided to throw her hair into a really high ponytail versus the mostly down with two small pigtails that she had before. This was as different as she was going to get without cutting her hair. She eventually made it out of the room and came into the lobby, swishing skirts following her legs. She put her hands behind her back and leaned forwards. in that cute anime way that girls sometimes do. "So, whatcha think?"

Unbeknownst to Aelin, a certain round pokemon was out of his ball. Matzo rolled from Aelin's room down the hall. He had fallen asleep under the bed while waiting for the doctor to see his trainer. Welp, now he needed to find her... Or the male who was with her. With a 'sigh' the voltorb rolled around for a little while. Eventually, it became a game. The robotic Voltorb would roll until it hit a hallway and stop. Looking bothways. Dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna. Matzo had sounds playing in his head, kinda like he was a ninja!
Finding himself in a cross section for the hallway, Matzo noticed a nurse. It stopped dead in it's tracks and starred at her. The nurse stared back. What in the world? She turned her head to mention the voltorb, and Matzo rolled quickly away. Leaving a smoke cloud behind it. The nurse turned back and it was gone. What?? Matzo was excited about this game of his. But he really needed to find Aelin.

↳Tsubin scoffed playfully at the mention of him wanting to see Aelin looking girly. It wasn't a thought that crossed his mind when he brought it up. No, he wasn't new to seeing his girl friends being extra feminine or outlandish outside of their school uniforms. Actually sometimes, some of them would still be openly defiant about school standards and normality. Some of them had been into weird extreme street fashion lately. With how often the bunch liked to expose him and their other friends to all these subgroups of gyaru and lolita fashion, he liked to think he'd been tempered away enough from being shocked at a drastic change in someone's style. "Hey, I'm not the one trying to hide in the faraway region here," he pointed out, folding his arms as he sat back in his seat. "Besides, still a bit too early in this relationship for me to tell what's normal for you or not, doncha think? I mean, it hasn't even been a whole entire day yet."
Haystack's tiny claws could be heard tapping against the tiled floor as he sniffed around the room for more snacks Tsubin might've dropped when he wasn't looking. Tsubin's gaze turned to him momentarily before turning upward at the ceiling, as if contemplating. Actually, he was thinking about something. When he and Haystack first met, it was only because his little pack of wild Zapoms was already on the prowl for food. There were at least six of them deciding to target him and his friends just this past year, and of course, the spontaneous collective decision was to just drop whatever they were snacking on at the time and run as soon as the tiny yellow pack started charging at them. Other times, he had also seen different packs straight up assault people walking around with groceries. At least he was able to start figuring out their behavior patterns from there, and start working around their usual aggression. "Ahaha..... haaah, I uh..." Gosh, that didn't sound like the best idea if she didn't know anything about them before. He couldn't help but think about it uncertainly. Should he let her see what they're like untamed? Or.... hm. His expression neutralized again as he looked back at her. "You sure you wanna see the actual wild ones? Don’t be fooled by Haystack; he’s actually a lot mellower than he was when we first met."
Oh, so she got herself injured over an object. It sounded like something important. "And did you manage to get the thing back in one piece?" he asked curiously. Given what Aelin had told him of her history so far, getting attached to an item wasn't surprising, especially if it gave her comfort. He wouldn't question what it was; humans were just that simple and complex at the same time. Still, it was strange that she had a strong fascination with fire despite how badly it burned her before. She wasn't denying it anyway. And it certainly wasn’t repulsing her. He was almost glad she didn’t use a certain other word to describe her attraction to fire, but he figured it didn’t go that far in the first place. The connotation was still there. "I dunno, Ae. You’re still the adult here talking to a high schooler you just met about a fetish of yours, and I would’ve thought that would be more awkward," he grinned. Haystack’s ears perked up as he lifted his nose from the floor and sniffed the air, trotting back over to Tsubin’s chair. He made sure to keep his distance from the door’s range as he looked up at his human and barked while Aelin was asking about the boy’s uncle. "Nah, he wouldn’t mind. He kinda demands we stay at his place whenever we did leisurely visits anyway. It’s the same right now, even if he’s not the one directly telling me so."
He didn’t get to mention the messages from his cousin as the door opened and the doctor and nurse returned to treat Aelin’s burn. Not wanting to interrupt, he picked Haystack back up and gave him another treat to keep him quiet for the procedure, listening along to the instructions the nurse was giving for continuing to treat the wound. It sounded simple enough; there wasn’t too much difference from what he remembered reading about it online. He was glad he was already prepared. It wasn't much longer, but it seemed there was something Aelin wanted to do before they departed from the hospital. Obligingly, he left the room and headed toward the lobby, nearly tripping over something large and round rolling down the intersecting hallway. He stumbled a few steps, managing to regain his balance while still holding Haystack before he turned to see what almost tripped him. Oh s**t, that's a Voltorb. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, don't explode, please," he pleaded, waving his free hand at it. He hoped he didn't actually kick the poor thing. Why was it loose here? He did remember seeing one earlier among his companion's new team. ".... Wait, you're Aelin's Voltorb, aren't you?" He didn't get to look at Aelin's closely earlier; most of them looked the same anyway. How strange. He didn't notice anything getting out of the room. "... Um... Wait in the lobby or wait right here?" he asked it. Regardless of what it decided, he was going to get an unintelligible response. "..... Well... I'll be in the lobby." Stepping around it, he made his way back down the hallway. Whether or not the Voltorb decided to accompany him and Haystack, he didn't mind. It probably wasn't going to be too long of an extra wait anyway; he guessed Aelin might be changing her clothes to disguise herself with what she can. How effective it would that effort be to hide from her sister and her... follower?... whatever that guy was. For now though, Tsubin could only count on the fact her family had never seen some of the things Aelin wore, and hopefully those pursuing them didn't remember his face from that short encounter.
He soon found himself in the lobby. Within his pocket, he could feel his phone buzzing again. Ah... He'd probably need both hands again. He lowered Haystack so his back was against his stomach and partially zipped his hoodie up, tucking the bottom of it under the Zapom to hold him as if he were in a pouch. Slipping his phone out again, he unlocked it and checked his messages again. BTW, should i be looking out for anyone in partcular? the message on the screen read. Tsubin was glad Alden asked first; he forgot to bring it up earlier. Yeah, edgy dude in all black with a long-haired brunette, both with blue eyes.Weirdly specific, but ok. Moments later, Aelin made her appearance again in a new outfit, as he was expecting. What he wasn't expecting was the thing she did after making her way over. "Erm..... what's with the pose?" he asked after blinking a few times. Admittedly, she didn't look too bad, but what was she expecting him to say? "I think... if you lean any lower, I might have to go find a different adult to travel with." He cleared his throat as he turned away completely and toward the automatic sliding doors, more so to hide the slight hint of coloration on his cheeks that he believed appeared as a bit of heat rose to his face again. "A-anyway, we're heading to the street across from the Devon Corp plaza. Even with all the streetlights, it might be too dark to really be able to point out specific landmarks. I could show you around the city in the morning if you want." At the same time, he tapped out one last message to his cousin before pocketing his phone again. Heading over now

Aelin chuckled as Tsubin scoffed playfully. "Oh? Is this a relationship?" She teased. She chuckled again as he folded his arms to sit back. She had sat back when the doctor had walked in. She let the doctor do his thing as she waited to give her retort. "Oh right, our relationship is just sooo new." She teased. She elongated the new to make some funny sounds. As he started mentioning the cute fuzzy yellow dog pokemon, Aelin looked down at it. "Really? That sounds adorable! Maybe once I can actually move my hand and can defend myself from the mauling of the cute."
Chuckling, Aelin stood from the bed and took her time to walk around the bed as her friend continued to talk and ask questions. "Oh absolutely. I got my teddy back and he left me alone. Of course Mother made sure we weren't left in the same room anymore." She chuckled. Her teddy still sat in her backpack. She glanced back at him with a narrowed look that said she would show him her fetishes if he kept on before smirking at him. He soon left to give her privacy. Once she finished dressing and returned to his side a touch of color brightened his face. She grinned. "It's just something I've seen girls do. Is it weird?" She asked looking down at herself. She stood when she realized why he was blushing, and tinted a bit herself. Well I never! It was her own fault she supposed. "Well then, since you need a new adult, I guess we should get moving. I'll have to interview them." She teased. She would try to cool it with the teasing. But it was hard.
Chuckling lightly, Aelin looked around the world of Rustboro. She hadn't ever been here and even though it was getting dark, she was excited at learning a new place. "Well then, lead the way!" She said stepping into the cooling air. A voltorb made some noises behind her and she turned. "Matzo! When did you get out of your ball?" She asked curiously, slowly picking up the metal ball and putting him back in his ball. She turned her attention back to Tsubin. "Well, as long as we are here, let's enjoy the city. Please give me a tour in the morning. I'll try to not tease as much." She chuckled as they started walking towards the road he had pointed towards.

Popping from her ball, Celery tweeted a bit as she stretched. She had only been in the ball for a few moments, but the Torchic was tired of being cooped up. She loved being out and about in the sunshine. She followed Aelin and Tsubin as they headed... Who knew where, and looked around. Her attention stopped on an alley nearby. It was dark and scary, but the Torchic was curious. Taking a look towards where her trainer and friend were going, Celery darted towards the alley. Curious to see what was going on back there. After a moment, the Torchic squeaked and ran back after her trainer. That was scary!

↳"Acquaintanceship is a form of relationship, isn't it?" he shrugged. It had only been a few days since the semester ended, but at least this session of psychology class wasn't attempting to leave Tsubin's head already. And Aelin was still seemingly infatuated with the thought of getting herself a wild Zapom. He had to admit he felt the same about them. Haystack was already friendly toward him, yet he hadn't made any attempt to even catch him and claim ownership. From what he had noticed, the puppy hadn't really attempted to follow him back to the port to get home to Pacifidlog. He'd have to gauge Haystack's reaction to asking to join him later when they reached his safe house. "Well, after dealing with the super-heated rock, I sure hope you'll fare better against a group of wild walking furry tasers."
Geez... starting a fire to get a stuffed animal back... He knew how it felt to get sentimental about objects too, but he never had a problem like that with his siblings. He’d make an exception for it being a comfort item, but damn. Maybe her upbringing and life with her family was worse than he initially thought? He didn't feel at liberty to critique, only having let out a simple "ah" before having left the room. But now, she was back in his vicinity after a few minutes had passed, posing in a way he was not expecting to see any real person in, especially in front of him for a select few reasons. "You've seen girls do this.... on tv? Like... in anime and other cartoons?" And with her outfit change, there was a lot more of her that he didn't want to catch himself staring at. It wasn't like he was pretending teenage hormones weren't real, but he was taught to be better than that.
Right, so moving on. Tsubin never really cared to walk around this city at night too often, but it wasn't often that he'd get to do so at his own leisure, now that he wasn't bogged down with homework and projects to do. Still though, this wasn't a time to dawdle. Aelin's sister and her cohort were likely still around, searching for them. Glancing back at at the brunette as she called out to the Voltorb, he raised an eyebrow. So it was hers after all. "Ae, you're sure they're not gonna recognize you in that outfit?" he asked curiously after she picked up and returned the pokemon to its respective pokeball. "I mean.... it should be okay for this time of day, but what about another time like tomorrow?" It was getting dark enough now. And the lighting from the street lights were tinted enough to make the coloring of things seem a little off, from what he could see as he stepped outside. Haystack wiggled in his spot in Tsubin's sweatshirt until his front paws were out of the temporary pouch, holding himself up so he could look around better. Tsubin led her back down the road to the the main streets, pointing out places she might find interesting to go to in the daytime: a pokemart, shopping strips, food courts... probably not the bars even though he knew where those were. And lastly for now, Devon Corp. "Here's that plaza I was telling you about," he said, nodding in the direction of the well-lit city square. The large corporate building loomed nearby. "I've been on a tour through there for a field trip once. Save for it being the place where they designed and produced the PokeNav, I'm not really interested in trying to apply for work there like a lot of others have been." There wasn't much to look at for now, so he turned to go around the corner and down the street perpendicular to the plaza. They passed another convenience store and some miscellaneous shops before the street transitioned into a residential area. It was also well-lit and relatively clean, many houses looking like they were built within the past decade or so. At least half of the street had houses that were two-stories high. "Kinda weird for someone like me to know an area like this, isn't it?" he mused, turning again onto the walkways of one of them.
"Here we are." The door was already unlocked and slightly ajar from what he could see as he approached. Reaching out to push it all the way open, he pushed his shoes off against his own feet without having to reach down to untie them as he stepped into the foyer. "Arceus, you're lucky to be living in one of the nicer neighborhoods where you don't need to keep your doors locked all day," he announced as he walked further into the living room. Aside from a deep chuckle from an older man in the kitchen, there was another voice a little closer echoing off a wall, telling him "Ah, shut up," in response. Turning to Aelin as she entered, he grinned. "Well, make yourself at home for now, Ae."

A low chuckle left her lips as they walked. "Of course it is! Our 'acquaintanceship' is definitely a form. But I would say we are friends now. Whatcha think?" She asked curiously. The playful smile stayed, playing across her face. Of course, Aelin herself was just trying to lighten the mood. This was a very different atmosphere for her. And she was... Scared. This was just... Too new. Too different. And while she wanted to say she was fine, this was great... She really couldn't. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't try. "Oh I'm sure the literal ball of super heated igneous is all that I needed to prepare myself for the little tasers."
Continuing to chuckle a bit, Aelin smiled at Haystack, he was just freaking adorable! The girl seriously wanted one! That was when her Torchic squeaked and ran right to her. Scooping the tiny pokemon up, Ae looked around but didn't see anything... Yet. Turning back to Tsubin, she tilted her head as he asked a question about the pose. She blushed a slight bit but it was getting dark, so she was sure he wouldn't be able to see. "I mean.. Yeah. In... Anime and cartoons... I think I saw someone in a movie do it once... Why is it... Not a good thing?" She asked curiously, subconsciously petting the tiny fire bird in her arms. Of course, the blush deepened when she remembered his comment about her new outfit. "Of course meaning in a normal shirt right?" The chuckle turned into a bit of a nervous giggle as she continued to pet the bird.
Turning at his question, Aelin tilted her head. "Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm sure that they wouldn't expect me in this type of outfit. But unless I cut my hair and colored it, it's the best i've got. She said moving Celery to one side so she could twist the ends of one of the more forward curls. Then a grin spread across her face. "Plus, If we are a little closer, they won't suspect it's me. Why would an Incaedium do anything of the sort!" She giggled as she put her arm through his and smiled at him. "This way, it looks a bit different then just a brunette and a boy with dark blue hair right? Now it looks..." She blushed a bit and giggled nervously again. "Like a couple... Taking a walk under the stars." Her sister wouldn't ever suspect such a thing. Never in a million years.
Of course, she was kinda excited to be holding onto Tsubin's arm, it was the first time she had done something so... Pushy? Provocative? Scandalous? Whatever, it was a first for her. She needed to get ahold of herself. She was the adult here! Tsubin proceeded to show her around as they walked towards his uncle's home. The first sight was the main plazas and stores and things. Most were getting ready to close anyway. Last was Devon Corp. "Oh that's kinda cool. So... Since it was for a field trip, do they have any weird things in there? Like... Rocks or fossils, or... Bones?" She asked curiously. Why else have a field trip if there weren't bones in there?! His question had her tilting her head towards him, which was not as easy seeing as she was holding onto him. "What do you mean? Is it weird?" She asked curiously. He turned her onto a new path and headed off.
His question still rang weird in her ears as they arrived. She stepped through the slightly ajar door after Tsubin, letting his arm go. The sudden cold was weird... She glanced around as she took her shoes off easily and set them next to where he and the other's had their shoes. She followed as Aelin was told to make herself at him. The grin had her chuckling. "Oh so should I... Burp or something?" She joked quietly. "Where should I set my bag?" She asked curiously, motioning her shoulder.

tabCelery wasn't too keen on whatever she had seen before they arrived at this building. She needed to explain this to her trainer, and her friend. But... She wasn't quite able to communicate with the girl. She flapped her wings, chirped, trilled, and stomped her claws. But nothing seemed to get the girl's attention more than a smile and a head pat. Something had been out there! Something that might be dangerous!
The small fire bird kept checking behind her. The door still slightly open. She was worried about the pokemon she had seen. She didn't want something bad to happen. She hopped around Aelin's feet, quickly just trying to get some sort of attention. Of course, she stopped as movement in Aelin's bag caught her eye. Was the egg... Moving? Oh! Was it about to hatch?!??!? This was so exciting! This was so exciting! She flapped over to the bag, looking into it, the egg was wriggling quite a bit.
She was so excited! Even forgetting about that scary Bagon that she had seen before.

↳Hm... Friendship already. Tsubin felt it was kind of early, recalling how long it took for his own at school to start. Those took a good few days or weeks. But this was a different situation here. It had only been a few hours, but they somehow survived a strange and eventful few hours he believed were unusual to most people starting off on a Pokemon journey. That counted as some kind of bonding experience, right? "Sure, why not?" he said with a shrug. "Pretty sure a lot of other people start off a....... perfectly..... normal friendship this way.... I think." Aelin still seemed tense despite her cheerful expression. Who could blame her, starting off a pokemon journey while being on the run? He wasn't going to deny feeling a little nervous himself, but he knew he had an advantage of knowing where exactly he was in this city. Aelin's pursuers were likely just as lost as she was in this region, or so he hoped.
And on the topic of that pose she did earlier... he nearly coughed, not returning eye-contact for the time being as a bit of color flushed into his face again. Thank Arceus it was nightfall and the streetlights didn’t illuminate them too much. "If I were a girl, I, uh... certainly wouldn’t’ve done that in front of a growing teenager, that’s for sure." He wasn’t too sure. Maybe a different shirt might’ve helped? There were certain places he felt he wasn’t quite ready for his mind to wander just yet, but the topic made a minor change that was a little more bearable for now. "Well, you’ve got that option. The salon opens at 9am on most days. If it makes you feel safer being out here, I can take you back over there in the morning if you want." There was a brief pause as she repositioned her Torchic to her other arm and twirled her hair a bit. His gaze wandered back to her in his peripheral, wondering what was going through her head. And then her arm hooked around his. Almost immediately, he felt his body stiffen, more heat rising to his face. It was one thing to have offered his arm to her earlier, but.... her grabbing onto him like this? At least it was harder for both of them to see each other after walking past one streetlight into the vast and dimming space before another post would illuminate their path again. 'Noooo, no, act natural, dammit,' he urged himself, taking a slow and deep breath as subtly as he could manage, averting his gaze once again. "Wow, aren’t we bold," he remarked with a smirk as casually as he could. He was surprised his voice remained steady despite his current predicament.
"Well... yeah, lots of fossils... and rocks." Oh... there it was; the first part of that statement was a little higher pitched than he intended. He cleared his throat briefly. "The family and founder of the company is named Stone, and that’s kinda fitting for them to have rocks and bones there." Trying to remember what was in the building seemed to be an effective distraction from the fact that he had a cute older girl currently clinging to him. "Also that lab they have for resurrecting fossils is pretty cool. My uncle brought back an Aerodactyl from there last year and bred an egg from him for my little sister." The sidewalk beneath their feet brightened as they soon neared another post and she asked another question in response to his own. "Well... mainly weird because I don’t live here, yet I know this place almost like the back of my hand? Some people these days are pretty cautious of others who just come from out of town. Also the fact that I’m essentially a villager who lives in a floating hut in the middle of the ocean and occasionally stays in a fancy neighborhood in a big urban city once in a while." At least he believed it was weird. "... Might also be similar from your perspective too, now that I think of it. Sheltered rich girl from around a big city.... nah, that doesn't sound as weird."
Once in the foyer though, he seemed to relax again. Naturally, her grip on his arm probably would've slipped off as they were walking through the doorway if she wasn't still holding on too tightly. He nudged his shoes against the wall with his foot before sliding the straps of his backpack from his shoulders, turning back to Aelin. "That's good for starting off announcements to the household," he said with a playful smirk before motioning to the stairs at the far end of the foyer. "You can put your stuff upstairs in the first room in the hallway."
Turning his attention down to Haystack, Tsubin lifted the fluffy yellow mass out of his jacket as he walked into the living room. "Hey Uncle Haru," he greeted the tall rugged man now peeking out of the kitchen. There didn't seem to be as much of a resemblance between them if not for the strands of smoky blue among his graying hair. "I brought some new friends along.""Some?" The older man asked, eyeing Haystack with mild intrigue before glancing over in Aelin's direction. "Not bothering to let them come out?""Ah, well... I don't wanna get Hector too overwhelmed. You know how he gets with crowds." It took Tsubin a few moments to realize where Haru was looking. "That's Aelin. She's just starting out with Pokemon like me."
"Incaendium, right?" Aiden asked as he rolled his chair away from the desk against the far wall. Tsubin almost violently jerked his head in his cousin's direction where he stood, about to make a remark before the older boy held up a hand to silence him. "Shut up, I'm not calling the cops. Sounds like there's a stupid reason involved to have people be on the lookout for someone without a warrant or record."

tabAelin chuckled as Tsubin told her it would make one heck of an entrance. "Oh yeah, the pretty girl the nephew suddenly brings over burping. People pleaser for sure." She joked. When she was motioned towards the stairs, she quickly walked up the steps to place her backpack in said room. She wasn't sure how to act with a family of people around. This was not her norm... At least, not being so casual. She twisted her hair quickly into a high ponytail, before taking the squeaking Celery and the two eggs back downstairs with her. At some point, they started cracking and she wasn't sure if she had done something.
A small tinge of hysterics entered her voice as she came back downstairs. "Tsubin..." she whispered, attempting to get his attention without alerting anyone. However, she was suddenly being introduced to the man of the house. Haru? "Um.. Nice to meet you Sir. I'm Aelin. Thank you for letting me stay here tonight." She lowered her head a small amount. She just wanted to be polite. The crack on one of the eggs shifted, causing her to look over at the egg. "T-tsubin!" She whispered again, looking a little worried that she had done something
The girl startled a little when her name was called. She glanced up, wide eyed. Who?! Where, how... She didn't recognize the male, except he kinda looked like Tsubin. A little anyway. She wasn't the only one however. Her new friend jerked towards the man she hadn't yet been introduced too. But, the male held up his hand and Tsubin stopped. So... "Well... Stupid would be correct... But uh. No worries right?" She tried.
A crack, loud and audible pulled her gaze from the other boy, to the eggs in her hands. One was cracking right on open. "Vitaaaaa" Aelin glanced down, eyes wide. She was worried she had done something, not that it was hatching. She unceremoniously sat in the floor, letting the black egg sit in her legs. The hatching one in her fingers. She pulled the piece that had cracked, away from the face of something red. Or brown? Or something inbetween. The tiny pokemon opened it's eyes. Big brown eyes looked into the blue ones of it's trainer. "Laaaaar! Larviiiiitaaaar!" It cried. The small pokemon flung itself out of the egg hard enough to throw tiny arms around her neck. Aelin dropped the egg with the force of the jump. It just kinda fell out of her hands. Wrapping arms around the tiny fire around her neck, Aelin looked wide eyed at Tsubin. What was this? It looked and sounded like a Larvitar, but the thing hugging her was definitely shooting fire out of it's rear. And the top of it's head. She slowly pulled the pokemon away, to get a better look at it.
The small Larvitar squirmed as it tried to get free to give more hugs. Aelin giggled at it. It was so stinking cute! She gave it another hug, getting a loud happy squeal from the baby pokemon as she did so. She continued to giggle until her memory caught up and she looked back at the one who had been talking about her last name. "Yeah... I'm Aelin. Incaendium. Part of the Incaendium main family branch. I uh... Ran away from home roughly 3 days ago I believe. It's a pleasure to meet you all." The tiny Larvitar continued to hug onto the girl, sitting ontop of the other egg and clutching at her shirt. Like a newborn baby and it's mother? "Laaaaar!"
Celery looked at the other egg. Maybe it was going to hatch too? And much to her and her trainer's amazement, that was just the case. "Raaaaay." Came the yawn, inside the egg. It quivered a little bit as it slowly started expanding. It cracked, and burst open, leaving the Larvitar out of a seat. Falling ontop of the small, pumpkin sized dragon. It shook off the remnants of the egg and the larvitar and sorta floated into the air. The black scaled glittered where the yellow banding encircled them. It wasn't very big. Not compared to what Aelin was certain the species normally was... It looked down at her, and nudged her face with it's own before floating around. It wanted to play.

↳Tsubin scoffed lightly at her remark. "Well, it’s a polite noise in some cultures," he jested before she made her temporary escape upstairs. No big deal. It felt like just another day coming back to the house after being stuck in school, with the exception that his older siblings hadn't stayed with them since last year. It did feel a little strange without the sight of Otani attempting to play with the large Aerodactyl currently in the kitchen, but it was something that was going to happen sooner or later. He couldn’t believe he was starting to miss his younger sister already, but he felt he shouldn’t worry too much. After all, he did notice a certain Pokémon trying to pretend he was indifferent to her preparations to leave for the summer. The family Swablu was certainly a strange one. Who would've thought tsundere would be a good description for that bird?
He let out a small huff as he lowered the fluffy yellow stray to the floor to let him explore. "Ahh." Now that he was somewhere relatively safe once again, Tsubin was able to relax, raising his arms with his fingers interlocked to stretch and relieve all the tension he had building up for the past few hours. With a deep sigh as he lowered his arms, he glanced down to the capsules on his belt, poking at the button on Hikari and Yuu’s pokeballs. With a pop and a bright flash of light, the lantern Pokémon and little blue canine appeared. Hikari wasn’t too perplexed about where they were, but Yuu was looking around in awe when he realized they weren’t outside anymore. This place didn’t smell like the forest he had last seen. And the air around them was nowhere near as tense. There were other people aside from Aelin and Tsubin too, as well as other Pokémon who were currently out of sight. And those people sort of smelled like Tsubin. Turning around to look up at his trainer, he let out a curious "Riluu?" "Where are we, Tsu?" the blue bipedal pup asked, the voice echoing in Tsubin's mind. "Is this another PokeCenter?""No, we're in a house," the teen responded, watching Hikari float over to Haru and greet him before floating into the kitchen and out of sight. "Specifically my uncle's house, cuz it's where they live and also where we're staying tonight." The young Riolu stared back up at him, his head tilting in confusion by the explanation. Ah... there were still a lot of things that needed to be explained, like time passage and different kinds of shelters. That would take a while to go over, mostly because he had to come up with oversimplified explanations. Tsubin didn't have the energy for that now; it had been hours since that half sandwich from Oldale. "A.... anyway, you can go ahead and explore, Yuu. Hikari knows where things are too, so ask her if you need anything." The little blue ears seemed to perk up excitedly, his little tail wagging furiously as he looked around the room, momentarily stuck on deciding where to go first. His first instinct seemed to be to find Hikari, and he hastily followed where he last saw her going through the doorway.
"Uncle Haru, I still have leftovers in the fridge, right?""Yeah, nobody touched it. Still a lot of it in there.""Good to know... Wasn't feeling like making anything new." With a relieved sigh, he turned to walk toward the kitchen, ignoring the subtle squint from Aiden across the room; Haru stepped out of the way, but the man's gaze turned toward the stairwell as he heard the girl make her way back downstairs. Her pace on the steps seemed to hasten about halfway down as if becoming frantic about something on the way. The noise not only made Tsubin stop in his tracks to turn to the stairway, but also made Aiden turn around in his seat to observe as Aelin reappeared on her way back to the living room. "Erm.... You called?" Tsubin asked, raising an eyebrow. It seemed she wouldn't be expecting all three of them to notice the slight bit of commotion. And she had paused when Haru addressed her. "You're very welcome, young lady," he replied with a slight bow of his head, his attention soon turning to the eggs she was holding in her arms. Oh? Two eggs at once? Her demeanor was telling him this was her first experience with Pokemon eggs. "Looks like you've got some little ones breaking out."
Tsubin paused, blinking in confusion. "Eh?" His gaze lowered slightly to the two eggs in Aelin's arms. Was that a crack? On both? Oh gahd, they were getting bigger. He hadn't actually been around an egg hatching, not even when Otani's Uyama emerged from his. He didn't get to witness Yuu hatching either. It wasn't a live birth, but still, what the ******** were they supposed to do in a situation like this? Uncle Haru and Aiden didn't react much as the first egg cracked further, but they both raised an eyebrow as its contents were revealed, Aiden swiveling his chair to face away from his desk. ".... Is that....?" Tsubin knew what Larvitar looked like, but he had to double-check to be sure. He pulled out his pokedex and pointed its sensor in the Larvitar's direction, comparing the picture that appeared on its screen to the actual being. Fire on its back like a Cyndaquil, very much unlike most other Larvitar. "Ae, it's like Yukikaze," he remarked. And then suddenly realized their names both started with the same sound..... well... that didn't matter too much right now. "... Who now?" Aiden asked, taking the time to reach back and blindly grab his glasses off the desk, missing a few times before finally finding them and putting them on. Yukikaze's pokeball was unclipped from Tsubin's belt and tossed across the room to his cousin, popping open as soon as it was caught and revealing the wispy black Houndour, who hovered in front of the young man instead of standing on the floor. Tsubin seemed rather alarmed about the levitating dog as well, pondering for a few moments as his gaze wandered back to the second hatching egg as it seemed to pop itself open in Aelin's lap. Whatever it was also suddenly grew in size before floating off of his friend, revealing the long serpentine form of... oh. That... that couldn't be what he thought it was, could it? Why was it in that rock? "...... H... hey, Aelin..." he started. "I... we're not hallucinating, are we?"
The question hung in the air for a few moments. Unsure of it himself, Haru let out a small cough, excusing himself to wander into the kitchen and temporarily out of the room. Aiden, on the other hand, chose to divert his attention away from the apparent Rayquaza to examine the floating dog in front of him, reaching his hand up for Yukikaze to sniff. "Hm... ghost." That made sense for now, he thought. Averting his attention back to Aelin, trying not to make eye-contact with the dragon in the room, he nodded, remembering the response that came before the sizeable distraction. "You, uh.... don't really see many runaways from wealthy familes too often. I'll try not to be too nosy, but I'm assuming you didn't agree with a decision about your future? That seems like one of the common tropes."
