Cell 3 Room BEvan frowned, concerned, at Stormy. He was used to talking her out of her self-deprecation, but this was different. She seemed resigned, almost defeated, and Evan desperately wanted to know what had happened to her in the desert. If they could wrap this up quickly, maybe they'd have a little downtime--he didn't need to get into the details with her, he just needed to get her on track enough for them to see this mission out. The rest could wait. He held tight to the chains as he and Stormy followed Gale through the corridor and into the freezing quarantine chamber. Fortunately, it didn't take long for their charge's involuntary seizing and snapping to cease and they were able to move on. The patient remained docile as Evan secured the chains he was holding. "Almost done here," he said, trying to break the strained silence, "but keep an eye on it anyway."

cell 17 leslie + abbi + nora (chains 3/4) "Jesus ******** christ!" he snapped, because that had smarted. "I'm trying to do a ******** job here." Oh, well. It wasn't like he wasn't used to vicious bitches. Sunny ruled with an iron fist. He was pretty sure she pissed nails. "Three ******** chains down, just one to go--" Leslie grimaced as he leaned back, dodging a particularly vicious bite. "Zombie babies, zombies, same difference Abbi. You can explain Navi later. Add it to the list." It was a long list, about to be made longer: "EX-P?" Quote: 2) You remove one of the four chains and the infected lunges towards you, snapping their teeth at you. cell 3 room b gale + evan
She mustered the energy to give Gale a sad but somewhat affectionate look. He would say that even given her past stupid mistakes.
Slowly she backed away from the prisoner, on guard as Evan had asked but more than ready to get out of there the moment they were clear of the door. "I'm sorry I didn't let you two meet under better circumstances," she said, finding it a little easier to talk now that the job was almost done. "But thanks for working together." Dirty looks aside.

"Zombie whatsits now?" Nora said with raised brows as their patient began to convulse and slobber. With a small noise of disgust she maneuvered away from it as best she could and undid the rest of the chains.
"Navi? You mean those blue cat people--oh!" The Sun laughed. "That sprite thing from the whatsit? Please do allow yourself some more dialogue than just those two words!"
Please. Please.
"Warning you about the curses one last time," she admonished Leslie before giving their navigator an awkward thumbs up through the bundle of chains. "Good to go!"

Cell 5 - Room C (America, Peyton, Kostya, Noah) It had been human, this coughing, shaking, babbling thing, or not-human in the ways that Noah was familiar with, now, and he knew better than to assume that either of those things made it safe in any way. He watched the process with his lips pressed into a thin line, holding himself very still and quiet so as not to distract any of the others and looking unusually stern as a result. When America got the last chain free and announced the team ready to move, he gave one sharp nod and opened the door, leaning out to watch for the wall clear; when it came, he called out, "Cell 5 transferring to Room C," then turned to nod confirmation to the rest of the team and head down the hall with swift strides to get the door to the quarantine room. Room C was cold, and his breath plumed white as he closed the door behind them. When he turned to watch the patient, it (he was going to think it, that was easier) was breathing "hungry, hungry," over and over again, and interspersing the words with attempts to crane its neck to the side and bite at it own arms and shoulders. It reminded Noah of the tongue-in-cheek advice he'd once heard about pretending to be crazy: try to bite your ears. "It's not subdued," he said to the camera, and felt stupid, because duh. "It's talking about being hungry." He looked back to the others then, determined but still very unnerved. "You guys okay?" Quote: 1) The patient is not subdued and talks about a great hunger. They try very hard to gnaw at their own arms.

Cell 5 - Room C (America, Peyton, Kostya, Noah) Before he stepped away to assist, once more, with the thing that barely was a hunter, Kostya removed his glove and laid a warm hand between America's shoulder-blades, a heavy weight with nothing else before he stepped towards the patient. "Am fine," Kostya replied, attempting to subdue -- but the patient was very, very insistent on trying to consume itself. "It vants to eat, very, very bad, it seem." To eat itself. Or one of them, if the chance presented itself. "Bevare of teeth." Quote: 1) The patient is not subdued and talks about a great hunger. They try very hard to gnaw at their own arms.

Cell 5 Room C Offering Kostya a small smile she nodded, keeping her breathing regular. At the patients hungry gestures she blinked slowly. Once. Twice. And did not let out the sigh of relief she felt. They were hungry, maybe for anything, but it wasn't the same as it had been. It wasn't the hunger to gorge on the violence your hands had wrought, to feel it between your teeth and coat your tongue. It wasn't a tearing, angry thing. This was not the same. Their movements gradually slow and America looks to Noah for confirmation.

Room C - Room B Noah nodded again, trapping his sigh of relief before it could get out. The patient had been subdued, but they weren't finished with this job yet. He waited for the all-clear, then opened the door, calling out, "Room C moving to Room B." The patient seemed easier to move now, slowed down by the cold and less aggressive. It was relatively easy to get it into the decontamination room, and Noah waited for the others to get the patient tethered down, then hit the button. The doors hissed open and the countdown started. The patient showed no sign that it might have noticed. Countdown: 30 seconds

Room C->Room B2/4 tethered Kostya worked on securing the patient down, with clinical disinterest. It was a pity that he'd never cared to work in the infirmary; but then again, for anyone but America, his bedside manners would have been atrocious. "Just two more strap to go." Countdown: 30 seconds

Cell 5 Room C -> B 2/4 straps Moving with efficiency to match Konstantin's, nearly motion for motion, America chained down the next section. Eyes flickering toward the patient as her hands moved swiftly, the girl called out, "Three down, how're we lookin' Pey?" (30 seconds remaining)

Old houses always had Melvin nervous, and he walked a thin line in the center of the hallway they were transported to in order to not let anything touch him. Old houses were a old nightmare world for him, and even worse were the holes in the floor. He had already fallen through a floor once in his life, once which started him seeing monsters and lead him to this place, this life, he was at right now. He did not need to meet the bug woman again.
A little short of breath, he walked with everyone and looked to a line of cameras. For such a old place to have cameras was peculiar, and he wondered if Death had set them up. Exactly where were they? A old hospital? Orphanage? Hostle?
At the instructions, his nerves only got worse. A group.
A group he had to be with and who would in turn rely on him - a person who only failed in the worst way before.
He didn't like this mission, but he had to be with someone. He just needed to be with someone who wouldn't need him if it came down to it or wouldn't risk saving their neck for his.
He looked around and noticed Jordan by himself. It was odd seeing the Sun without the two men beside him, and he cautiously walked over before giving an awkward wave. "Um....are you with anyone?"

It was weird, being on his own in a large group, Jordan reflected. Maybe he could have gone over and asked to join them, but with all that was distractingly unresolved, that probably wasn't a good idea. (His pride wouldn't allow it, either, but he preferred to have a more reasonable reason, a less emotional justification.) Instead, as the briefing concluded, he looked around to see if anyone else looked lost. Melvin was in the same boat as he was, on a couple of different levels. Jordan slipped through the dispersing crowd an met Melvin on the way over. "I wasn't," he replied. "Need a partner?"

ROOM AHer eyes narrowed at the sight of a few familiar faces. Some she wanted to try and get to, others she wanted to avoid. Though there was one in particular that could be entertaining. Candace hummed pleasantly as she walked through the crowd, slipping behind people every now and then to cover herself as she got closer and closer until she was behind Rep and leaning in to whisper close to his ear, "what's the matter? Afraid of itty bitty zombies?" She smartly stepped back after that to avoid earning herself a slap or a hit of some kind for thinking sneaking up on a Sun was a good idea.

Rep's reaction was - as expected - hostile, moving to try and elbow the person behind him before his brain hit the brakes mid-way as he realized who he was dealing with.
"Candace you ********." he said, turning to face her, looking surprised to say the least. "Long time no ******** see." He sassily raised a brow at her. "But, for the record aye I'm ******** afraid of contagious zombies. I got attacked by a contagious thing the other day on a mission and almost got killed."
The memory of the slow creep of the icy cold crystals still haunted him and sometimes his dreams.
"But I'll do my job with like, due caution."
