Glad to have ya on board ! Okay , so , here's the Earth : 1) Roy kind of makes the magic rules , and the point is ( as I understand ) if you don't use your magic , you'll get stronger . Not everyone has magic in the first place and there's nothing wrong with that . Most of the abilities right now are just little inklings , like forecasting weather or seeing air currents or lighting wet candles . We're still figuring that part out , so go with what you feel , ask questions , and Roy or I have to approve your profile anyway so we'll let you know if something doesn't work C: 2) Define pretty detailed . . . I usually don't accept the "can't find a faceclaim that suits me" thing b/c I just bet I can find one you'll like c; 3) Pm me on this and what you're thinking C: 4) Don't ask silly questions ;p
I'll Pm you about your Reserve , it sounds like there may be some not- quite-sures there c:

Basically everything that she said. You are allowed to use magic, you just aren't allowed to develop your magic. Basically you want to prove your ability to not ruin everybody's day, and we want to award you for being a good storyteller. Let's say you want to have the ability to set things on fire with your brain; that's super awesome, I imagine like all the cannon fuses on your ship lighting at the same time or your crew's hair all burning off when they fall asleep on duty. That's cool, or dramatic, or funny, I want to read that stuff. But then there are people who want to take that power and abuse it and start trying to set other people or their ships on fire, and then people get angry and things get boring. Waving your hand and making the other ship fall out of the air isn't exciting, and it's only fun (barely, at that) for one person. I feel you on not being able to find pictures, but there seems to be one out there for every occasion. I'm having trouble picking one up myself, but that's because I can't seem to remember anything that I write. I'm kind of terrible like that. It looks like Trance has got you covered on the technology thing. So hopefully I will be reading your profile soon!
"Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?"
Ah okay. That explains a lot about the magic 'system' then. I was reading it and at first I was like, "We get magic but we can't use it? What?" But now I get it. Thanks for that. And I did end up finding a picture I liked finally, that's the one I used because everything else I searched mainly came back as females or video game characters. sweatdrop Thanks again! And hopefully I'll be able to work on profile! Lol. Figuring some things out with Trance right now so we'll see what happens there.

I suggest hiring some anti mosqito task force. I've got 2 employed Batman (aka butbuts) and Tiger (Aka Tiggy) They only require food, tall space, cuddles and that you scoop their poop away

Real life is sweeping me away on awesome summer adventures. I won't have internet from a few days from now until possibly September. I'll be very busy and may not be able to post or check in more than once every week or two. I guess that means Nathan's going to be getting up to mysterious land-based adventures and only hop onto a ship later?

Because it has been rather quite... and I'm bored (a dangerous combination), and I did a little doodling (somehow I managed to squeeze some time for it)...
Gerald Willington! Sitting by the bow of the ship, hanging out with the wind in his face. (I so want to work on and finish this picture... Not... Enough... Time...)
I have another sketch (not even that really) of Gerald waking from a night terror... and a series of concepts (in my head) of the little stowaway (I was told he was clingy) snagging a big hug from Gerald, and Gerald standing there with a "Ahhh... what do I do..."? look at first, then next panel would be him patting the kids head. Probably going "Can... you let go now?" or something.
Just random ideas for me to doodle. I like doodling ideas. 3nodding
I'm just going to take it for a spin, I'm bored and taking a break from KSP This is mostly to get a feel for Reim. Test the strings and to show of my fancy frames.
Thanks again Trance
Tiny drips of water drizzled over the wooded boards of the deck. The wind was meager at low heights. Below him he could see the murky water and the white tops of the waves. They had been searching for days now and there was this gut feeling around here. From below they where hardly visible, no lights was hung and the engines on low. The silence was almost hypnotizing here at the bow. His crew was ready and searching as well. His orders had been clear today. Stay quiet and keep your eyes open. One on port side, another on starboard and one to man the wheel. Four men awake and 2 on standby. Thank the heavens that there was cloudy and no moon. Such nights made sneaking a terrible mess. Slowly did he sway his eyes across the vast sea. There was nothing there it seemed, it was too dark to see and too bloody much water.
Reim was wearing his uniform, with his jacket properly put on. It was cold in this rain not to try to stay dry. His head on the other hand was dripping wet. Big drops of water rand down the side of his face and down his neck. Twirling in his fingers was a half wet cigarillo that taunted him. The seconds quickly became minutes and minutes became a couple hours when a sudden flash appeared. As he turned about to meet the eyes of his sailor, he got a nod back. There she was and now the pirate ship was as visible as ever. Almost odd on how one could have missed it at first. With a silent order the rest of the ship was organized for attack. They where six in total and meeting a force of up to ten times their size. Yet their orders had been clear: Sink them or capture them. The issue was that capture wasn't an option here. The Sanglante Ruth begun to approach the sailing ship. It was a double masted remnant of the old days.
The engines roared across the sea as the beast this was. With steady hand Reim steered the ships closer and closer. There was no escape from him now. The nose was lowered and the cannon was readied. The best part with shooting down was the fact that you didn't need a big gun. Below them several lights was lit and eventually light pierced the sky. They where searching for them. It mattered little as counter measures on such a ship was nothing to be concerned about. "Wait to see if they flag bones and if they do, shoot one shot through the cabin. If they don't lower their flag and fly a white one, sink them. Ready the fire barrels for fly by. Let's try not to get in range of their small arms." Reim controlled his ship and kept her steady. A good captain should always be with his men and fight with his men. The cannon spew fire and iron. Shortly after wood could be heard breaking. Then they answered fire with fire. A cannon aimed at the sky had been readied and sadly for them, they missed. The Sanglante Ruth was the fastest ship and these attacks proved her worth. Another blast of his cannon and then barrels lit on fire with oil was thrown.
Slowly and relaxed his men went to their beds as they rose into the sky again. Behind them they left a ship sinking and in flames. Their work was done for now and as Reim plotted his cruise home, he finally lit his cigarillo and smiled.
