"Past lives?" Shoneah cocked her head curiously. "So people are reincarnated in this world? And some of them remember, and others don't?"

She wondered how that all worked.

"All elves are connected to the earth," Miyuki recited from a passage she had once read somewhere, "So when they die, they are reborn. Not right away mind you."

Miyuki didn't really want to get into that limbo that elves went to after they died that was getting complicated.

"The time they spend in that limbo before being reborn varies, but when they are reborn, they are without their memories. It is possible to regain those memories, how that happens again varies and how long it takes also does. Really a person could go his or her live and die without ever remembering their past life."

"You certainly know a lot about the subject," Shoneah smiled. "Do you know someone who has been reborn or something? Or is that a part of your studies?"

She didn't know what kinds of things were taught here, after all, and she was well aware that people in different areas learned different things. She'd never heard of the things Eron taught, after all, and he didn't know the things she'd been taught all her life.

"Both actually," Miyuki admitted, "Elven history of the Four Lands was something I was taught when I was younger and used the subject to practice my writing skills. I also was taught to research about places I've been to by myself and again, I used that subject to practice writing."

So it was something that was ingrained in her really, and she was honestly curious about it. Knowing why people acted the way they did could help in getting them to stop acting in that way.

"But my family has also this really weird luck in getting to know people who have incredible backgrounds and then getting into situations that are, well... epic is the term often used. That being said, Lancerial, and Cael, the two that offered to teach magic are reborn elves. When Lancerial talked about being a former druidness, she was referring to her first life."

Shoneah blinked in surprise. "Seriously?"

She looked around for the pair, but they had disappeared.

"It seems ... they would have a lot to teach then, beyond magic," she murmured with a new respect for the two of them. "They must have all kinds of knowledge."

She wondered how old they were and how old they would be if they combined their previous and current lives.

Miyuki thought about it, now that Shoneah mentioned it, that was true.

"They do, about how things work," Miyuki agreed.

Though often when they talked about it, it was always with magic as a reference point.

Shoneah was about to ask another question when Kaito came into the clearing, his bokken over his shoulder, whistling cheerfully.

"Hey, guys," he grinned at the two of them. "What's up?"

Shoneah blinked at Kaito, surprised not only by his sudden appearance, but also by the fact that he was alone. Hadn't he been training with Andarien?

"Just talking," Miyuki replied, "Originally I was gathering notes for the mobile home, I'll need your and Shiro's input on that as well."

She paused and then thought about it a bit more and nodded.

"Especially Shiro's seeing as he does research and experiments," she added, "Where's Andarien?"

Kaito chuckled. "You're going to make a mobile home for every single one of us to live in?" he grinned. "It'll need to be the size of the mansion. You sure you're up for that?"

That would be quite the task.

"Andarien will be back in a bit," he added, walking past the girls and heading to his tent. "He ... ah ... might not be in the best of moods when he gets here. Just a heads up."

He grinned cattily and headed into his tent.

Miyuki knew it was a hard task, but she had already considered Andarien's suggestion if nesting the different spaces within each other. She was sure it could be done, though she supposed making an upper floor would make it easier as well.

Her musings were cut short though by Kaito's warning.

"What did you do?" she called after Kaito, but he was probably already long gone.

Kaito was indeed already gone - not out of earshot, but out of sight, and unwilling to answer.

"He reminds me of a friend back home," Shoneah said with a bemused smile. "Usually a tone like that means that someone else is in pain."

She turned to Miyuki. "Should we look for him, do you think?"
PostPosted: Mon May 05, 2014 6:56 pm

"We might as well, Kaito probably just worked Andarien to the ground," Miyuki muttered.

That neko was so mischievous sometimes. If people thought her Uncle Yue and Yukito were different as night and day, wait until they met Shiro and Kaito. There was no limit to how different they were.

"At least I hope that's what he's referring too...."

Miyuki would rather it be for that reason, the only other reason is Kaito did or said something to set Andarien off. Andarien was... a bit too sensitive for Miyuki's comfort.

Shoneah pushed her self to her feet and adjusted the clothes she was wearing. She was borrowing Wren's clothes, and while both women were slim, they did have different body shapes. The shirt was too loose for Shoneah, and the pants slightly tight around her hips.

"Do they usually go to a certain area?" she asked. "Or will we have to look for him?"

"Just a bit further out from the campsite, it gives them room to practice and room for Pokemon training when needed," Miyuki explained.

She motioned for Shoneah to follow, they had more or less picked out the area where they would train a long time ago when they first arrived. So Miyuki assumed it would be the same place even after all this time.

Shoneah nodded and followed after Miyuki. "How long have you all been out here?" she asked curiously. "The way you talk, it sounds like ... well, several years already."

Not far from the clearing was a second clearing, the one that was designated for training. Andarien was crouching in the middle of it, his back to the camp, clutching one arm to his chest. His katana lay on the ground beside him, the naked blade glinting in the sunlight.

He was muttering to himself and didn't seem to hear his sister and their new companion approaching.
