Sherry gave her best encouraging smile to the new girl. She seemed...very lost. Her smile relaxed when Stormy showed up. "Hey, Stormy!" Stormy asked good questions. She was a lifesaver. Too bad the girl still seemed very confused. "De-us," Sherry said, putting light emphasis on the word, "Is...and island. Um, What's the last thing you do remember?"

"Heyyyyy~ Where's Jake, shouldn't he be with--OH hi, Jake~!" she called, waving at him cheerfully. At least she wasn't forcing him to come over and talk to people (nobody should ever do that to anyone this early in the morning).
The poor girl seemed dazed still, which she couldn't blame her for. Normal wake up was already hard to get through, let alone being shepherded into the facility so soon after in a group. "Oh? Well hey, you get to stretch your legs," Stormy said brightly. "And plus you get a little taste of what life's like here." Not the by the way you'll probably die on this mission side, thankfully, but the more sociable, we're all a little mad here side.
Although it was probably better to be a bit more gentle with this one. Sherry asked her questions for her, so the best thing she could tack on was, "Are you hungry? They've got some breakfast stuff around here you can nab."

All she could do was apologize again and hope Astrid could forgive her for disappearing. So she did, whispering it as she looked down at those pale eyes brimming still with tears. Tears that cut straight to the bone, and threatened to carve her heart clean from her chest and leave it bleeding on the floor. When the questions came it was a relief, and she eagerly answered. "It was the hardest choice I had ever had to make, and except for having to leave you behind, I have never regretted making it." And she nodded, confirming that her sister would indeed be dead to the world, so to speak. "You will, or missing, I'm not sure." What did that mean for their father? Was he all alone now? Had be maybe found someone, after mourning their mother for almost a decade? Questions for later. She had to smile at the smaller blonde's enthusiasm, amused, despite the exasperated sigh that passed through glossed lips. Of course she wasn't going anywhere. She couldn't leave, it was no longer an option for her, but Astrid didn't know that yet. And of course she was worried, being a Hunter was dangerous, but she couldn't say she wasn't just as happy to see her sister as she was worried for her. "Yeah." She agreed because it was easier, because she wasn't sure what else to say. Astrid wasn't bonded, it posed a very serious problem. She was just going to have to have faith that the Life techs would figure everything out with the pods. Until then Astrid needed a Hunter to keep an eye on her, to protect her, to provide a place for her to sleep, and Peyton had every intention of being that Hunter. So one more time she attempted to scrub Astrid's cheeks, this time using the sleeve of her shirt, and she smiled as she did it. "You're sticking with me." There was no room for debate. "I'll show you around, and you'll sleep in my room."

Marcus smirked at Nick's arrival and cursing. She'd been a good moon eventually. Her mouth aside. "I so because I'd rather you not get in trouble for missing a meeting" He didn't touch her hair as Dakota did, content to just sit and smirk at the trainee. As H arrived with the -mistakes. They were woken early? Mistakes then. Doubt they will last long. Those who are mistakes would only attract the most stupid of weapons. mistakenly awoken, Marcus sat back, drinking his mystery liquid with an eye on any who might later re-emerge as potential moons. Babysitting, he could do- it was only a matter of feeling that he'd not just leave his 'ward' to their own devices if they proved- -stupid. Mistakes. Marcus let them be, you have more important matters than mistakes-Not stupid enough to get themselves killed with curiosity. Plus, tormenting Dis by helping them would be a joy in it's self. Davey did explain his reason of leave, and Marcus, done with H's little fostering of his problems meeting, "Good to have you- well okay see you around." It was funny, them seeing others they knew. Part of him wondered though. Other hunters had siblings, cousins, relatives. Ian was the cklosest he had to that so maybe- Marcus almost felt relaxed when he saw no one he knew. His siblings, missing. He took it as a saving grace. Getting up, he wandered around, pausing at a group he questioned the legitimacy of. Mostly, Maebe. "You look up to something." He said it calmly, hand in his pocket, free hand motioning to the one recently woken. "I hope you show them and share some of the old moon delights the island has to offer." He mentioned nothing of a transfer. Yet- "I did want to ask if your current place is better than your previous one though. You had trouble back in the spar and I never did do a progress review." To the woman accidentally awoken- "My advice is to accept nothing runic or glowing, by the way." His gaze did pause on the male of the trio, if just briefly. "Marcus Hasan. Don't think we've met yet."

Mim's face flushed as Sherry corrected her, and she covered her mouth with her hand. "Ah, désolé! De-us." She sounded the word out slowly, making sure she got it right. "It is an island?"
... why was she on an island?
"The last thing I remember... was being killed by someone who looked like me, and the I woke up in a strange room..." Even now, the memory sent chills down her spine.
Though, she had to admit, being out of that pod WAS quite nice. She was never extremely fond of dark cramped spaces, and by not extremely find, she meant terrified. "Mais oui! It is much nicer to be out here in the open, even though all of this is quite confusing..." At the mention of food though, she heard her stomach growl, and her face grew even redder. "I guess I am a little hungry."
At least this meant the shock of all that had happened was slowly wearing off, if she was able to think about food. "Ah, gomen! I didn't introduce myself. My name is Mimi Magloire. It is a pleasure to meet you, Sherry-san, Stormy-san!"

Jake gave Stormy a tired wave and closed his eyes. Whatever, girl time wasn't really interesting to him right now. So tired...

"Bored", Xi corrected Cee, when faster than she could peel this next egg, the other woman got snatched up by some strange interns. This excuse of a party was getting uninterested about fifteen minutes ago.
"You'll have to excuse me," she managed to say to some strange neurotic lady and that uneducated British kid. She walked up to the closest person. "Excuse me, may I use the restroom?" Carhop Cavalier I noticed you weren't quoting anyone so there we go have a FOP (fresh out of the pod)

"Sorry that I wasn't watching. I am Dong Shu Lei, you can call me Shu or Lei, Z did say my name sounds like shoelace." She pouted. "Them? Us?" The shorter girl smiled and tilted her head. If she meant if anyone is with her, the answer is no. So she shook her head and then pointed towards where Robert & Mimsy were. "I am with them!" Obviously Lydia needed to say what she wanted out her mouth, the little huntress tiptoed and patted her head. "You are so adorable, are you hungry? How about a cake?" She smiled sweetly at Lydia. Sorry Robert, just one piece. She pouted and stared at the hunter who interrupted, puppy girl like this can be scared easily, so needed to treat with tender love. However, she was also interested why this huntress not wearing her hunter coat. Nothing Yet she is doing stupid things again XD Seussi Puppy girl gets a head pat ouo

It's only a tiny smile that he's wearing, but it's probably the most he's done of it in a long time. It's hard to look away from Joy even though he knows other Hunters and potential-Hunters are about. It's just hard to believe she's here so soon. It feels like if he takes his eyes off her for a second, she'll disappear. ... Maybe H is also to blame for that, with his warning of no one knowing how long it will be until the potential candidates drop and need to be re-podded. "Don't tell me you forgot me after only an hour?" Well, since they woke. He's not sure how long there was between the end of the dream-game and actually waking up. "You... know each other?" someone next to Joy speaks up. Davey tears his eyes away to find a young man with dark blue (dyed?) hair and dark skin. "There was a shared dreamscape thing that just happened. Were you part of that, too?" It might make some sense if it's those who were in Wonderland who woke up. But he's not laying bets on it, given the hit-and-miss participation of Hunters he's spoken to this morning. At the mention of being in the pods, Davey rocks back on his heels just the slightest. His gaze flickers down and to his left for a brief instant before he catches himself. "For a very short time, about three years ago," he eventually replies.

It wasn't as if Astrid really held grudges much anyone. Much less toward her sister who, was in fact, not dead. She was still partially getting that fully down in her head. She'd been sure that Peyton had had something terrible happen to her. That it was the only reason she wouldn't come home. What exactly she hadn't been sure but... perhaps it wasn't too far from the truth. This place wasn't exactly happy land, but... she seemed really happy?
She at least knew, as her sister spoke up, that it was hard. Though, based on what was said. She couldn't help feeling a bit bad for their father. But it did bring a smile to the previously teary face as she offered a small nod. No more tears. No more. And thankfully she had the sense not to mention their father. Yet. Peyton hadn't made the mistake of asking. "I... that's fine." No one would care anymore. So it was fine for both of them that way.
While Astrid didn't know just how dangerous the place was, or that... she'd probably in more danger just by being out of the pod, she was rather happy to stick around. "You have your own room here?" This notion was hard to imagine. Even if she'd sort of had her own for a while. Fact was... it still seemed like nothing should have changed? Even if a lot did. "What's this place like anyway>" She was trying to distract herself, ignore that she was still a bit upset. She had her sister back, it should be happy right? And truth be told, she was curious about the place. "Gale said it's called Deus." That was... about all she knew.

She could have only hoped that their conspiratory whispering would get him to come to them, but her hopes came true like a granted miracle, and he did all of the work for her. When he stood in front of them, Maebe's breath stilled for a single second, before she forced herself to breathe again. Her smile was simple, and told him nothing. "I do. You know I love being rude for you. It turns me on." She turned her head to Cee, as if she hadn't just been lewd, and patted her shoulder. "Alistaire, this is Cee. Cee, Alistaire." Returning her gaze to him, she quirked her head in true innocence. "We were thinking of having a look around, and then heading back to my place to imbibe something toxic and get unbelievably smashed. You, as always, are happily invited. I'd love to see if we can get you to loosen up a little." And pull that stick right out of the toned a** she'd just grabbed, she thought quietly to herself. This time, her smile told him everything. She heard the voice of a wet blanket calling her out on her mischief, and rolled her eyes instead of looking at Marcus. This was literally the worst time for him to come around and ask her legitimate questions, with Alistaire so close and ready to snatch up anything he could use against her. She was still not looking at him when he regarded the fellow moon hunter. "I'll take good care of her. Don't worry. Maybe you should go write up a progress review, like right now or something." In other words, buzz off, dad.

Leslie had been contentedly almost nodding-off against Abbi's shoulder when the words double pay had come up. It had taken a while to register, but once they had, the Mist trainee jolted up in his seat, eyes narrowed. "Going to get me a ******** scrub is what's up," he muttered, scurrying away like some sort of rat. In his grand, mighty, and also tiny glory, Leslie stomped up to a random pod-person and gave them a look. "You need someone to follow or some s**t?"

“Oh...” He said though what the oh was for was a little more ambiguous, either for the dream mentioned or, the fact you’d been in the pods a whole three years ago. Perhaps it was both. “No, no I wasn’t, I mean I don’t think so, I last remember being well, home and… “ h He shook his head like it wasn’t really all that important what he last remembered. His eyes too kept drifting to a sort of obvious place, that ‘trying hard not to stare’ look that people get when they are desperately trying to be polite but all the same they want to see. “Would you… Mind if I ask… what happened to your arm? All we know so far is they called us…Zombies, freaks, and then they kind of, well one lady just sort of shoved granola and a bottle of water at all of us. HE said something about saving the world but, I mean come on….” He at least looks a little apologetic to intrude again, glancing between the pair of you with a nervous sort of 'oh god I'm being rude' expression that mingles rather badly with the general discomfort of waking up in strange places with stranger people.

Melody's smile spread at the kiss to her hand, "so you both have these bonds then?" Woah, August. Was it really already March? This guy has been up for so long, all the while she was very much asleep. Perhaps he knows a trick or two? Or well, clearly he does. "Moon?" She must have missed that part of the Dr's lecture. She turned her head to Harland too as he harped up and in the same baffled tone asked, "death?" She wondered what they meant and quickly began to speculate. Perhaps Moons came out only at night? Or deaths were... like death? Morbid. She still kept her pleasant smile outwardly but inside she was more than a little concerned. The polite smile she'd prepared was a full-blown grin, and Joy was certain, so very certain that she was going to throw herself at Davey for a fierce hug. That is until Zachary spoke up and reminded her that she was in real life and not the lead in some romance flick. She pulled her arm back hastily, her hand settling on her hip instead of against the tall man's cheek.
"So we're not in Wonderland anymore, but why does everything still feel trippy as ********> she teased, refusing to let any sense of awkwardness take root. This was a weird way to meet again but ******** it, it was still a reunion and she was going to make the best of it.
And that was when Zach asked about the arm. Well, someone opened that can of worms for her, even if the question was on the tip of her own tongue she still jabbed her elbow into her fellow freshly-woken's side. "Answers to come all in due time, yeah?" she said through a brittle grin, before turning to face Davey. "But seriously, are there Zombies here?"
