He must have made a wrong turn somewhere. The boy eventually found himself in some tall blades of grass--far too tall for him to actually navigate through--and the mushrooms he had grabbed did nothing to help.
In the end, he decided he had no choice but to backtrack back to the beginning.

With the same mushrooms--small and medium--in hand, Puppetking went for another go.
This time, he ended up heading to the right, arriving at a place that was clearly too small for him to do anything useful at. Fortunately, the small mushroom he had picked up helped shrink him down, thus allowing him to scan the area and find the next place that he needed to be.

Phoenix stared at the bluebells, clearly disgruntled. She tried eating the big one in order to stomp on them with a giant fancy boot, but nothing happened. She got lost once again until she was back at the mushrooms. Once again, she took a big one and a medium.

It appeared that this was a lesson Phoenix was refusing to learn. She didn't want to be tiny. <******** these bluebells. She eventually found her way back to the mushrooms, stared at them for a moment, and then decided they could go ******** themselves, she didn't have time for this.

No, he wasn't a big fan of vegetables. Questionable vegetation with curious notes attached, even less so. But Kiin wouldn't say that he wasn't, at the very least, curious. He blinked at the different mushrooms, then glanced up at the lily-pads up ahead, eyes narrowed as per usual, then he blinked once more at the mushrooms. Eventually, with a sigh (and curiosity and some sense of adventure gripping him) he picked the large and medium mushrooms before moving along.
The hatter wasn't sure what to expect exactly, but some part of him knew that it'd involve eating one or both of the fungi in his hands. His stomach was already squelching at the idea...

"Left again, or right, Murderbunny?" It was odd, truth be told, that she has left all executive decisions thus far to a march hare, but he had, time and time again, proven that he could be trustworthy.
"Right this time, hmm? I guess."
The path led them to a cluster of giant bluebells- thus far, the most beautiful thing she'd seen in the forest, asides from perhaps the lake- even if it dredged up memories she'd wanted to keep hidden away, there was a sort of calmness to it.
Protista used item: [Small Mushroom]x1.
Chewing on the small mushroom seemed like the right thing to do here; after all, she was already normal sized, and there wasn't another option. The transformation process felt strange, to say the least, as if some parts of her were shrinking faster than others, leaving her worried that she might end up disproportionate.
Eventually, and with a rather disturbing pop! her nose shrank down to fit the rest of her- and as far as she could tell things were normal.
And so began the hike up the closest bluebell; perhaps, if she could see over the bluebells, she could find her way out.

It was a leisurely sort of walk, with the mushrooms on hand as he pressed on toward this so-called "treasure trove" that was brought up before he found himself on this quest. Kiin felt no immediate sense of urgency so he went on, soon coming on a fork in the road. He recalled the last time he came across a fork in the road and had to make a split-second decision that could have ended rather badly if he chose wrong.
"Left," he said, again without really thinking. When it came down to it, yes, he usually went with his more dominant side. Apparently urgency had nothing to do with the preference...
And so he came upon tall grass. Really tall grass, actually; the sort he could get lost in if he just walked through it as he currently was. Which...probably wouldn't be a good thing. He gulped, the idea coming on rather slowly, and made a face. "Great..." he muttered, then decided that he may as well get over it quickly.
Without staying on the decision any longer than he had to, Kiin popped the large mushroom into his mouth, chewed and swallowed and did his best (and failing rather miserably) not to taste it. It left a lingering aftertaste as he swallowed it, but within a few seconds the grass was suddenly proportionate to his size. Or...maybe he was proportionate to it? Either way, he began the short trek across the grass, a bit larger than his usual self.
Truth be told, he kind of enjoyed the height.

Ah, there they were.
"Lily pads," he said with a relieved sigh. He wasn't quite used to being so big, so it seemed a little tiring to be carrying what felt like extra weight. Or maybe he was just imagining things? ...not that it mattered all that much. By the looks of it, the pads weren't likely to accommodate him as he was. And the door that they led to was also a little too small for big-version Kiin, so, squashing down his stomach that was churning once again at the idea of eating another mushroom, he popped the medium 'shroom into his mouth.
There was still a disgusting little aftertaste -- or, again, maybe it was just him -- that was followed by what felt like shrinking. Then he was normal again, and he hopped across the lily pads and sauntered right through the exit provided.
The treasure trove wasn't exactly anything impressive, but it did, as its name suggested, have treasure! Good enough as far as he was concerned, and once the chest came into he view he popped it open and claimed his spoils.
» Side Quest: the Flower Garden completed. +1 level. +1 loot card.

Precisely ten mini-feet away lay what looked to be the exit, and it wasn't hard to crawl her way over the tops of the bluebells towards it. Fragrance filled the air around her, nothing creepy jumped out at her or yelled at her- there almost didn't seem to be any reason to ever leave the place.
Except treasure, maybe.
As a mini-rabbit the lilypads formed a staircase too steep to climb, the gaps between the leaves easily twice or thrice her current height.

Back to normal height, Reine climbed up the lilypads: at the top, a chest gleamed in front of her.
Awesome.

Voices everywhere.
Sealed was starting to get a tiny bit annoyed by all the talking plants, but this voice said something that actually caught her attention. Treasure? And all she had to do was to find a secret exit?
Well. She soon found the mushrooms, and scooped up a big and medium one.
