Vaihingen Sounds from within the castle awakened her, and she stepped out of bed. Right, intruders in her house? Fine. Pale lived in the same outfit. She swiftly grabbed both of her knives, and followed the sounds to investigate. A scene that would have been far more dramatic, if not for the fact that her fuzzy bed-hair was distributed around her head like a halo. She could hear voices, any minute she would see them.... Kasai appeared in another falsh of light next to the sleeping body of Rayne. But soon Kasai heard footsteps coming from behind him. He quickly turned to find Pale, with her knives, slowly peering around the corner of the corridor. "Lady Pale?!" Kasai said, his mouth gaping.

"What the-" her string of profanties were about to let loose, until she saw Rayne. Something was wrong. Rayne was supposed to be gone or something, her and Jay- or. Come to think of it, she really had no idea what was happening. "Ok," she though "start with the basics."
"Please tell me, what you are doing in my house?" she spoke quietly, with an increasing edge

Vaihingen "What the-" her string of profanties were about to let loose, until she saw Rayne. Something was wrong. Rayne was supposed to be gone or something, her and Jay- or. Come to think of it, she really had no idea what was happening. "Ok," she though "start with the basics." "Please tell me, what you are doing in my house?" she spoke quietly, with an increasing edge "Oh! Forgive me Lady Pale! I did what I could to escape from this....thing that absorbs people's minds and controls their body. I know of yourself, Rayne, and the others. I had ran here and found Rayne crawling up the stairs to the cellar being chased by that....thing. Please forgive me for intruding Pale!" He bows before her, his shoulder length black hair flowing across the floor some, revealing his pointed ears.

Another elve. After Aes, she felt like she could trust them. "Alright" she clenched both her knives "Where is it now? Or does Rayne need help more?"

He stared at her blanky and turned to Rayne. He kneeled next to her, and whispered something into her ear. He then picked her up and started cradling her in his arms. He turned to face Pale. "She's coming with me," he said in a cold tone. Soon they both disappeared in a flash of light.

"Who the hell were they? And..what were they doing in my house?" Jay asked in a sort of angry tone as he emerged from his study just in time to see the dissapearing act.

"Rayne's almost half brother of a sorts." Pale said flatly, and shrugged "An average b*****d, but he won't hurt Rayne, so I didn't follow." she shivered at the damp coldness of that particular room, and walked up to Jay.

He slowly opened the front doors of the castle, peering in expecting Pale to be around. 'I thought this would be a good place to discuss all of this, but neither seem to be here.' He thought to himself. His eyes darted around the room before him and settled on a small chair by a staircase. He took a seat and decided to wait for one of them to show.

"Take a seat" she spoke from behind him "It's too dark here, I'll find some matches." she was weary, but she wanted everything settled that night.

He sighed. "I am sure Jay is on his way. I am sorry for before. My emotions ran so quickly I sort of lost control a bit. I hope Jay doesn't want a fight, because I am sure he is not getting one. Forgive me, I guess I should actually tell you my name. I am Kasai, member of the guild Siminar Tre'. I have taken care of Rayne since she was young. My, that was ages ago. I always looked at her like a younger sister. And, she's been through so much, I could not let her just fend for herself like that out in the world! I had to follow her! I just had to!" He clears his throat. "Excuse me again. My story is very jumbled. I am sure Rayne has told you of her past, am I right?"

"It's true," she stated, still weary "I do know all about you, and your connection to Rayne." She didn't know where Jay was. She had this...feeling...that he was confronting Kura. Pale hoped desperatly that she was wrong.

I am sorry this caused more trouble than I thought it would. It was merely a misunderstanding on my behalf. But I do promise, if Rayne returns, which I am sure she will, I promise to always be by her side and prevent her from any danger. Now please, if you promise not to visit her, I will tell you where she is so you can be assured of her safety. I have hid her at the Kimache Springs. Please do not tell Jay, I am sure he will come after her. I will return her...I promise."

"A few things you need to get straightened out" she said, the fire returning "Continue in this manner, and you are no longer welcome here. Rayne has expressedly said that she will stay within Black Amber. I will visit here. I have every right to see her. And why should I keep anything from Jay?"

And in almost perfect timing Jay stepped into the living room, giving the man a nod and a small half-smile to Pale as he seated himself on the couch and blinked tiredly. He'd have to train hard the next day to prepare for the fight with Kura. A tired sigh escaped his lips, giving the man a nod as if he hadn't heard the previous statement. "Quite odd how you were just harassing us mere moments ago and now you've decided to get comfortable in my house"

"I only want to get a few things sorted. And Pale, to answer your question, it's for her own safety. Ah, Sir Jay forgive me, I am Kasai, member of Seminar Tre'. If Pale has been informed of me, I assume you have too?" Kasai quickly ran his fingers through his hair to get it out of his eyes before looking at Jay, his cold gray eyes staring at him with both anger and curiousity at once.
