"Yeah, I mean....¿Why not? You're certainly someone I want to get to know, and I've really enjoyed our time together so far. I...want to see you again..." *Alberto rubs the back of his neck, surprised at how kinda nervous he is. He grabs Dendrobis' hand.* "If you're okay with me being a....squishy...thing.. that is." *He pokes his fantastic abs.*




*Verde is overwhelmed by the amount of questions being thrown out there. '¿Action figures? That would be quite an honor. Though I should not indulge in the notion this early.' He turns to Sara, who is looking all flustered. What?* "¿What are you talking about? We're jus....."


"That's enough questions for today. We will arrange formal interviews at a later date, but El Temblor Verde is tired and may not be in the best condition to answer such sensitive questions..." *Coach Guante looks at Verde with a "You're a ******** idiot" expression and Verde seems to pick up on it.* "We will be in touch after the next match has been arranged, gracias."

*Coach Guante quickly herds the group back into the locker room. He slams the door behind them. Pap L.'s Nagual is thrown off, but swifly twists itself in mid-air and lands safely, waving its weedpaws at Wagner. Pap L. simply looks at Wagner and....



*




"I had only hoped you weren't so clueless, but even if you were....I would never expected you to be so casual about that...TO A REPORTER, NO LESS! ¡¡IDIOTA!!" *He whacks Verde on the head with his PAR Regulations-Filled-Sombrero. That's like over 1,000 pages of pain.*


*Verde clutches his head.* "Ay yai yai....¿What's wrong with saying that we're just good friends? Pals. That's the truth." *Yep. Clueless.*

*Dendrobis and Alberto followed along with the group into the locker room. Verde's reaction makes the robo froggie facepalm*

Oooh....duuuuuude...just...I mean...should we stage a murder mystery? Because I think Verde needs a clue sweatdrop

Sara turned so red even her ears were red. Thankfully Coach hearded everyone into the locker room where Sara his her face in her hands. Oh how embarrassing! Here Verde was talking about how they were just friends and while Sara agreed that that was the case currently , she also wanted to tell him how she felt since it seemed, by the reactions of everyone around her that they ALL knew except for Verde.

Getting far too embarrassed by all this, Sara knew if she didn't screw her courage together, she would never say how she felt. She took a deep breath and tried to let it out while removing her hands from her face. Partly due to the fact that everyone already knew, partly due to nerves, and partly due to her sudden courage from having performed in front of a lot of people without fainting, Sara suddenly found the words tumbling out of her mouth. "Verde, I like you more than as a friend. I want to go out with you." Oops. That was not how she planned to tell him. Sara buried her face into her hands again.

Shadow didn't mean to smear the treat over Kyrie's face but suddenly found himself being hearded into the locker room again. Why did the older man hit Verde? Why was Sara's face red and why was everyone else looking a little amused?

*Verde blinks. How could he not have seen it? What's more, she said it so directly all of a sudden.* "So all of those times you were getting nervous....I see." *he turns to face the wall and readjusts his top hat, and he wipes his monocle while silent for a few moments. He takes a few deep breaths, then turns around.* "First of all, please allow me to apologize for not noticing your feelings sooner. I assure you that I would never make light of your feelings." *He takes a few steps closer.* "Sara, as I said you are a dear friend to me. I appreciate everything that you've done, and I apologize for my selfishness. The truth is: I had not even considered a romantic relationship with anyone, since I was so focused on my goal of becoming Champion."

*He takes off his top hat and bows apologetically, holding that posture for a few moments, then standing upright and putting it back on.*

"I must admit that I had always been nervous around women, and you were one of the first that I had really gotten to know. I wouldn't know where to begin to be honest..."

*He takes off his top hat and monocle, and the mask peels back. The Nagual goes dormant and Verde catches it.*

"I am still discovering who I am. I feel like I must know myself more before I can care for another. While this may seem unkind, I would rather say this than be dishonest:

I do not share your feelings. I do not wish to lead you on. If it is easier for you to cease our friendship altogether, then I wish you the best for you and whatever man you choose. However, if you are to stay...know that we may never have a romantic relationship. I would be more than happy to be your friend, and I would be delighted if you would continue to be my Lady of Faith. However, I can understand this being too much of a burden in this particular case. I will respect whatever decision you make."




"¿Is this not a bit rash? You cannot participate without a Lady of Faith."


*Verde doesn't break his gaze with Sara.* "A relationship founded on dishonesty is destined to fail, no matter what it is. If becoming Champion means trampling on Sara's feelings, then I would not deserve to be a Champion anyway. It would defeat the entire point." *He smiles.* "Where this goes is up to you, but I'm afraid that I cannot be yours in that way. You are free to leave me completely. I am still young. I will find a way." *His smile and expression is genuine. After everything that he went through to get to this point, he's willing to start all over again if it means maintaining good relations with his friend.*

Such honesty! And such a gorgeous face!!! If it were Kyrie, she would be devastated! Thankfully, she wasn’t one for such feelings. But oh! Poor Sara! Just when she got up the courage and everything! The dragoness whispered into Shadow’s ear that his mistress needed comforting, and coaxed him into flying over to her.

Sara stood there as Verde honestly told her how he felt, which was not the same as Sara. Sara couldn't be anywhere near upset with Verde. At least he was candid with his feelings. It still hurt that her feelings were not reciprocated, but such was life.

"Thank you for your honesty." Sara said softly as she looked up at Verde. "When I agreed to be your Lady of Faith, I did it because I believed in you and your dream. Yes, I had feelings for you but being your Lady of Faith had nothing to do with that. I still wish to be your friend and if you will still have me, I will still be your Lady of Faith and cheer you on as you reach your goal." She said sincerely to Verde.

Yes, she felt devastated that her feelings were not returned, but that was not Verde's fault. He was a great friend and she was willing to push aside her feelings if it meant she could remain friends with him. Time would let her heal. However, she probably would be avoiding reporters for a while.

Shadow was cuddling with Kyrie who was fawning over him. But at her whispered information, he gave her a squeak before flying over to Sara to offer her cuddles.

Well then…with all of that said, and the stars of the event taking their leave…Kyrie walks over and gives Sara a very gentle and heartfelt hug. And so not to overstay her welcome, once the hugged was released, she pressed on the pin to return back to Music Park…and return to her apartment to get some rest.
