Never Again...Herald shook his head. "No, I know Divine's wavelength. This wasn't him. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was an agent of his. The fact that he's looking for us means that he's either already made his move or he's about to." A frown came over his face as he thought about that. The last thing he wanted was for Divine to get the upper hand on him or a surprise attack. Fortunately he had hidden this realm well and whatever it was had missed it. Will I be bound in chains

Emma listened to Herald quietly, ears pinning a bit as she nodded in response to what he said "What now then?" she asked.

Never Again...Herald took Emma off his lap and set her on the ground next to him before he got to his feet. "We have to get prepared," he told her as he began getting dressed. "I don't want to risk whatever that was stumbling into our realm."Will I be bound in chains

In response, Emma stood up and grabbed some of her clothes, slipping them on at a surprisingly fast pace. Due to occasionally changing into her cat form at the worst times, she was used to dressing back up in a matter of a minute or so. Buttoning her shirt, she glanced towards Herald "Where do you suppose we go then?" she asked.

Never Again...Herald turned to Emma as he finished getting dressed. "Mirai will surely know how to reach her father's realm so she's the one I want to talk to. We'll go to Death City and see if we can't track her down." He focused his resonance force and opened a portal that led just outside the city. "Are you ready?" He asked her. He didn't want to leave the portal open for long since it was a gateway into their realm. Will I be bound in chains

Emma began tying her hair then, nodding over at Herald in response "Yep." she said "We can go. Lead the way."

Emma walked through the portal that lead to the realm, she walked a few more paces before sitting down, not really caring at the moment where. She grimaced as she pills she took caught up with her as well as all of the injuries she received. Right now, she was hurting pretty badly all over including mentally. She couldn't help but frown as the words Divine said to her repeated constantly as well as how weak she seemed during parts of the battle. "Dammit..." she muttered, putting her only functional hand on her head and covering her eyes.

Never Again...Herald stepped through the portal as it closed behind them, leaving him and Emma alone once again. The sky over the realm was darkened by storm clouds, reflecting Herald's mood. Although the flowers were still blooming they had lost most of their color, changed almost to a dull grey. Blood was still dripping from Herald's paws as he walked over to where Emma was lying down in the grass. "Are you okay?" He asked her, his voice quieter now. Will I be bound in chains

Emma nodded silently in response, one hand still over her eyes as she continued thinking through multiple things as well as dealing with the pain she was experiencing. She refused to show it though. "You?" she asked in return.

Never Again...Herald looked back up again, saying nothing. The grass around his feet burned away from the green fire around him. There was a roll of thunder in the air though as of yet there was no lightening. He clenched his fists, looking back at where the portal had disappeared, his face a mask of anger. Will I be bound in chains

Emma took that as an obvious no. After another few minutes she sighed, wincing slightly from how much that minor action hurt as she stood up "I know retreating is very difficult to do... but it seems all of us had to do it. It was a temporary loss." she told Herald. She continued looking at some of her injuries, trying to decide how exactly she was going to treat them. Leaving without the healer in their group probably wasn't the smartest thing.

Never Again...Herald didn't seem too concerned with his own injuries. He looked down at her as she stood to her feet. "A loss is a loss. We failed." His answer was short but he was obviously angry. Will I be bound in chains

Emma glanced towards him for a few moments before looking away and began making her way to the castle they lived in "We failed. But that just means we have to improve." she answered. "I'm going to try and get better so that won't happen again..."
