Kin had a feeling no more fragments would be found in this area after having the luck to find too so quickly. Feeling strong enough to journey on he began towards the other glowing hearts. The rain was beginning to become unbearable when another fragment flitted before him.

Renewing his conviction he fought through the pain and leapt for the fragment only to find himself face down in the acidic mud with a pained moan.

She followed after it, intent on it's apprehension, slightly soured by her inability to do so. If she was stronger, more blessed by the goddess, would this be an easier task to complete? Another question, filed away with all of the rest. She wondered at what ability and mastery might be required to capture the hovering fragments.

She made another grab for the one that had darted out of reach, but found the same result as before as her hand wrapped around nothing but thin air.

She lunged for it a third time, this time with a feeling at her back that twitched, as though there was something there that might have been used if she had more solid form. She missed again, however, her hand instead grabbing hold of one of the broken cables that dipped down close to the floor, a bit of crumbling concrete falling around her shadowy feet.

There was something about this seemingly meaningless task that spurred her towards the reward of victory, yet annoyed her enough that she almost wished to move on towards other things.

She turned away from the crystal she had been stalking, it's form now out of sight as it spun off into the darkness. Another one was nearby, and she set her efforts towards apprehending it instead.

And missed again.

That frown was beginning to deepen.

The pulsing of yellow, the glow of something bright began to come into sight, the washed out details of a shadow came to view. "Oh hello." he greeted back, quelling the nervousness that he felt, and the fluttering of something, some connection that he felt with this thing.

"Do I................... know you?" There was something about this being that was more than just a blob with an interesting core, it was peculiar and familiar, and it reminded him of the little gems floating about.

one of which that was hiding in the twisted metal pile. "Do you know what a Rex is?"

At last, after what felt like an endless amount of time simply stalking the crystals that hovered all around, she was able to snatch another out of the air and add it to the one she had already captured.

There was another thought, another memory that brushed against her mind. A name, a feeling of closeness, of security that did not come from the goddess but from another source.

Shikoba....


The thought, the name, it made no sense to Sheenah at all. She knew of nobody with that name. She knew of nobody with any name at all except her own. It was quickly forgotten about as she went about her new business of collection.

"Sounds like something powerful. Wrecks." He might have said more, but a growing darkness caught his eye and Stew turned, his attention momentarily caught by the eyes of his Goddess. He slid a flaky foot toward her, intending to approach, but something held him back. She felt warm and comforting, but at this distance the feeling made him uneasy. So many questions. At least he could answer one of them.

"I do not know who I know," he replied slowly, forcing himself to look back at the one he had been speaking to. "I don't know who you know either. But you don't feel... wrong. And I can answer your questions, so you can stay. Or go." He shrugged.

After a silent pause, Stew peered at the orbs in his companion's hand. "Where are you finding those? They don't hold still for me."
