"Whew." Rory wiped his brow as Glen's magical facade of a dining room began to fade into wisps of magical ether. "That was harder than I thought it would be. I'm not much of an actor."

"It worked though, didn't it?" Glen reminded Rory. "I knew my brilliant plan would keep him off his guard long enough to trap him back in Deadtention!"

"Deadtention?!" Harry suddenly piped up, now that the table he had been uncerimoniously shoved under had vanished. "That is so not cruel, manster! Deadtention is how the Clawthority reprograms free spirits!"

"Believe me, that weren't no free spirit." Operetta replied, crossing her arms and tossing her hair. "That was a purple people eater, an' bein' of the purple persuasion mahself, I don't much care fer bein' some other monster's meal."

"Oh." Harry replied. "Well, I guess eating another monster would interfere with their right to fright. But then...why was he running around at all?"

"It's a long story." Rory sighed. "It all started with our Mad Science project-"

"The project!" Glen hexclaimed. "We need proof that we saved the school from those deadtention students! Otherwise Mr. Hack isn't going to believe us!"

"Proof?" Rory asked. "But they're all locked back up in the Deadtention Dungeon."

"Well, maybe we could just peek in there, take a couple pic-" Glen started, but was immediately cut off by Rory, Operetta and Harry.

"NO!"

"It was just a suggestion..." Glen winced out of one eye, smiling sheepishly.

"Qweee!" Glen's pet flying monkey, Dorothy perched on Rory's shoulder. She was still playing with his iCoffin. "Qwee!"

"Oh, thank you." Rory thanked the tiny creature as he took back his iCoffin. He hadn't even noticed when the monkey had grabbed it - she was a bit notorious for her sticky fingers. "Oh. Hey! Glen, look at this!"

Swiping his finger over the screen, Rory showed Glen a series of pictures...each of them with a blurry Dorothy in the foreground, but crystal-clear, well-documented images in the background of their recapture of all six of the Deadtention students!

"Dorothy must have been taking elfies of herself the whole time!" Rory said hexcitedly as he swiped through the pictures.

"Yeah, she likes doing that. Though to be honest, her concept of composition and lighting isn't very good." Glen replied.

"These are the perfect proof for our project." Rory saved all of the images, feeling a great weight of relief wash over him. "There's no way Mr. Hackington won't believe us now!"

As grimtroductions took place, Rory kept going through his iCoffin.

"Oh!" There was a message from Marceline! Rory's heart made a pitter-pattery sideways bump in his chest. "Hey, guys...I have to go, is that all fright?"

"I'd best be gettin'g back t'my re-hearse-al anyways." Operetta replied. "I wasn't really hexpectin' ta be dragged away from it."

"I guess we're pretty much done for the day." Glen agreed, a little sadly. He'd clearly been having the time of his un-life tracking down the Dangerous Deadtentioners. "Anyone wanna go to the Die-ner? For some reason, I'm really hungry!"

As Glen made plans, Rory gave his last goodbyes and headed towards the exit from the Catacombs, back into the (relative) safety of the school.

Ari smiled a tad nervously, not exactly from meeting yet another new face but because she was still trying to Recover from the incident only minutes ago. "Hello Harry," She said with a small curtsy. "It is an honor to meet- ?!" It was then that he suddenly embraced her. "Heh?"

It took a while for her brain to register his words. She visibly relaxed and shyly returned the hug. "Thank you, But it's alright." Ari smiled sweetly. "I think..." She glanced at the others. "I think I have finally found where I am to belong after all."

The Fae's glamour was mostly worn off by now. The only thing she kept in check were her arms. The black claws were invisible and her normie looking limbs had taken their place. Other then that her new friends were looking at her real self. Green eyed and Blonde. Maybe she'd keep it that way... Harry's immediate acceptance greatly increased her confidence and she found herself blushing from the overwhelming feeling of fitting it for the first time in her long life.

Ari's Ever changing Companion, currently in Bat form... Shifted back in to a dragonfly and hovered ear her ear. See. I Told you you would be okay. The Fae nodded as her new friends made plans. She couldn't stop smiling.
