"You could... make something sparkly?" She suggested. "it'ssupereasy! and oo, I think I have a gluegunbutnotwithme... would you like to borrow it? I mean, I canbringittoschooltomorroworsomething... least till youcanget a new one of your own.."

"Wow, that's...that's really nice of you, Jewels!" Kai was touched by her generosity, forgetting completely about Lin and his paint-powered escapades. "Let's see...something to sparklefy...something to sparklefy..."
Kai looked over at his stuff, tossed underneath the Employeek coat rack. His book bag was covered in paint splotches and pencil marks...probably not a good choice. His coat? That would be pretty gnarly...but also maybe a little too over the top for his style.
"Oh!" He hexclaimed. "I've got it!"
Kai reached over and pulled out the leather satchel he kept his Spellbound cards in.
"Spellbound club is meeting on Wednesday. How about I sparkle this up? I know it'd be a hit with the Spellbound crowd. Of course..." Kai looked at the Bedazzler. "You'll have to show me how to use this thing first."

Ascreama stared down at her pile of works-in-progress and sighed. "I'm not very good at it yet," She picked up a half finished orge plushie and pouted. "I mean, look at my terrible blanket stitches! Oh glob, they're so uneven.." She overly criticised the work, nit-picking, before taking up the large needle once more. Multitasking her sewing, stitching a tiny hat onto the plushie orge's head and grinned at Gryff's project. "Now that's cool. The wool blend looks bootiful!" she smiled broadly. "Oh, I was thinking about maybe getting a stall at Necrocon or something, to sell some my mangoo and some craft things." She swiftly abandoned the plush and picked out materials at random. A gaudy green flannel and some shiny beads. "Meme wanted to advertise her sewing a bit more and to sell some gross-play costumes, and we're spreading the cost between us. Why don't you join us and sell some of your knitting? Maybe raise some money for an environmental scarity or something?" The blob girl giggled and she stitched shiny sequins in a row.

Luckily Lin had the foresight to get his inspiration away from the rest of the club, or at least, away from Gryff's gorechet project. So why did Lin need this if Gryff was gorechetting? Well he's a gremlin, easily bored when his hands were idle, so Gryff had suggested he find something to keep his claws busy until he needed him.
So Lin saw a patch of the store's wall front that could use with a bit of a touch up, and since Kai and his boss were nice enough to let the Art Club meet here in peace, Lin thought he could do them a favor and fix that bit of wall up.
Kai had come running after him, obviously to insist that it wasn't necessary, but that's just the sort of gremlin that Lin was!
Lin made sure the tank was full of ghostly gray paint, then aimed and fired! ... Only nothing came out. Lin frowned and looked to make sure the sprayer was plugged in. Yup! The motor was even running. No problems there. Waitaminute...
Lin turned the nozzle around and peered in -- yes! It was clogged! When was the last time someone had cleaned this thing? Lin took a pin from his overalls' pocket and with tongue between teeth, he peered in and started to clean the nozzle with care.
Then with a satisfied smile, Lin got things set back up and aimed the sprayer....
WOOSH!
"GRYYYYYFFFFF!!!!!"

Jewels clapped excitedly.
"Ohit'ssupereasy! Hereletmeshowyou!"
She took her bag and demonstrated how the bedazzler worked, fitting a small sparkly stone and using the mechanism to punch it onto the leather. She grinned.
"see? and and... if you want... you can add jewels with this!"
she held up the bright pink bejeweller which looked to be part glue gun, part bedazzler. She eagerly demonstrated that as well.
She glanced up at the yelling of Lin.
"Oh goodness.... whatdoyouthinkhedidnow?"

"Same thing he always does..." Kai replied with a sigh. "You know what? I think I'll let him clean it up."
Kai picked up the bedazzler and gave it a shot, punching a rhinestone onto his satchel.
"Hey, that's a lot easier than it looks!" He grinned at Jewels. "I should get one of these!"

"Card game." Kai replied while bejeweling his satchel. "Sort of like Gargoyles to Gargoyles, but there's no board game element. Glen got me interested in playing, and I just love the art on the cards. The actual game itself...well, I'm improving."
Kai finished a swirling row of jewels across the satchel and held it up for Jewels' approval.
"Are you interested in it? I could come over on Saturday and give you a whirl at trying it out. Oh! Wait..." Kai snapped a finger. "Shoot, that's right. Saturday I'm going out on a date with Demona."

JD knew for sure this wasn't where he belonged.
His shift ended at Howlister, and while he was supposed to have a date with Vanissha at the Coffin Bean, she unexpectedly cancelled on him; apparently Cleo had pulled the fear squad into some extra hours of practice to prepare for Mashionals. With his night freed up, JD thought about hextracurriculars. Casketball looked great on his claw-lege transcripts, sure; but with that being his only hextra-curricular, his transcripts were looking a bit grim. He'd thought about the things he liked to do, and aside from sports, there wasn't much to scratch at. He began to think outside the box...
... and found himself standing outside the Arrrgh-t House. He'd drawn in his notebooks before, and mapped out some killer designs for his car, but was this the same thing? He pushed his sunglasses up his nose, wearing them like a disguise, as he attempted to surreptitiously slip through the doorway...
*BONGGGGGGGGGGG!!*
That doorbell seemed to ring loud enough for the whole town to hear. JD froze for a moment as the eyes of students locked onto him.
"Heh... yo?" He chuckled nervously, inching his way into the store.

"ooo that's bootiful!" She enthused, but her smiled faltered at the mention of Demona.
"O..oh right.. of course." She forced a smile for him, her cheeks hurt. "You have... fun. I'm sureshe'sagreatghoul..." Great? Hah. right. she thought, silently cursing the demon ghoul's name.
"m.. maybe some other time... " She looked up as JD appeared and waved, trying to be friendly.
"Besides..." She continued, frantically thinking of something, anything she could be doing saturday that meant she couldn't spend time with Kai.
"I'm busy Saturday anyway... I have um... "
That was it! Inspiration struck!
"A party! Yes... I'mthrowing a party to celebratescreamqueen and tosaythankyoutoeveryone for voting for me and and.. yeah.. it'll be clawsome. You... you should come but ... you'll be busy with Demona so..."
She nodded, adjusting her glasses. yeah, take THAT Kai and Demona.
Wait... this meant she now had to actually organise a party didn't it? Oh stalagmites!

JD shuffled around awkwardly in the aisles of the store, lurking over the many different types of paint. Acrylic? Oil? Watercolor? All looks the same to me, he thought, idly spinning a paintbrush in his fingers. That's when he overheard Jewels' conversation with Kai, and that magic word he loved to hear: Party. He swiped his hand through his gelled hair and strode up alongside Jewels' workstation.
"A party, you say? I'd love to make the scene. JD Leeds, we've never met." He slipped his shades down the bridge of his nose and winked at Jewels. "I'm a DJ by trade. It's what I do. Lights, music, entertainment. The whole package, all rolled into this gorgeously-tanned manster!"
JD couldn't resist striking a pose that caused his biceps to bulge. He flashed her another ultra-white grin.
"With me spinning tables all night, I guarantee you'll have the hottest party on the block. So what do you say, Your Highness?"

"Woah, a hot party?" Kai asked, finishing up his bedazzling. "I was just going to take Demona to Grave & Boosters on Saturday, but that sounds pretty gnarly. Would it be all right if we stopped by it? I mean, I did vote for you for Tombcoming Scream Queen."

"Well I uh... " Oh dear, how was she going to square this with her father? She gulped, nodded and smiled to JD.
"Th... that sounds wonderful! Whatastrokeofluck!"
Demona and Kai, at her party? The idea gave her a sinking feeling.
"Well... I uh... ifyoufindthetime..."
secretly, she hoped that date would drag on... and on... and on.

Wow! Who knew that one paint sprayer could hold so much ... paint!? And how did those other colors get mixed in there!? Lin was blasted up against a white tarp just as the sprayer finished going haywire and ran out of paint, and Lin s-l-o-w-l-y slid down until he fell on his bottom against the floor, his small, sliding form creating an all new wash of mixed color against the tarp from top to bottom.
Rattled, Lin slowly stood up, dripping paint everywhere, and turned around to gaze at what he had done.
Oooooh Lin! What HAVE you done!? Lin was opting whether he should go get Gryff to make a run for it, or hide, but neither option lasted when he heard a spirited voice behind him.
"MARVELOUS!"
"Ack!" Lin jumped and spun around and almost fell back against the tarp again. He clutched his dripping overalls and stared wide-eyed up at Kai's boss, Mr. Deathknell! The ghostly proprietor of the Arrght-House hovered above the ground, wringing his hands in delight and staring at the tarp.
"My boo! It is simply defrightful! Boopendous! A true hexcellent work of arrght!"
"Um... what?"
Mr. Deathknell swan dove down to meet Lin nose to nose and the gremlin swallowed hard and this time did back up against the tarp, adding another personalized touch to this already classic work.
"What do you call it!?"
"What do I call WHAT!?"
"I simply MUST have it! My dear boo, name your price!"
"GRYFF! KAI!!"
Kai appeared peeking through the doorway that led back to where the Club was meeting and looked to see what the fuss was all about.
Mr. Deathknell said, "Kai! Fetch the checkboo-k!" He draped an arm around Lin's shoulder. "I have discovered this generation's newest arrght-ist!"
Lin shouted in fear and took off past Kai and back into the club meeting room, leaving a trail of paint behind him.
Mr. Deathknell continued to stare in delight at the painting, mesmerized.
"Simply marvelous!"
