With a small clatter the tentacle, if it could be called such a thing and not an amalgamation of everything gone wrong, dissolved, dropping something else onto the ground.

It seemed like a small crystal, bright in colour. It glowed lightly and then-

†˙´®´ ∑ˆ¬¬ ∫´ å ∂奠∑˙´®´ ˆ ç嘠˜ø ¬ø˜©´® π®ø†´ç† ¥ø¨ ƒ®øµ ∂´å†˙-

- A memory.

They suddenly remembered something so important and yet trivial at the same time. They were all missing someone very, very important.

OOC

If you were in this RP you may remember ONE interaction from it, one post your character made. HOWEVER it comes without names, only faces. Any names exchanged in the interaction is blotted out.
- IN ADDITION your character now remembers one important thing: that they are missing a ???? They feel sort of strange without it. Weak, almost. Incomplete.

Their attacks were making progress, despite what lay on the other side of the door. It seemed even the two figures on the front lines, the ones who had accidentally opened the barricaded doors in the first place, were making good progress. Apparently Naruto had some insane ninja powers with his bare hands, which pretty much made most people look ridiculous.

Most of the floor now was melted, coloured puddles of remaining eyes, ears and sad mouths, slowly dissolving into thin black mist. Others, even creatures untouched were simply melting on their own accord, as if unable to retain themselves. Some of them sadly wobbled, limped, and the slumped over before rapidly fading away.

Something slammed against a door and then something else fell through the cracks. It looked like a bag of sorts.

"Naruto" picked it up first. He shook it a few times but nothing came out. "Huh, nothing inside."

"Did you try untying it first." John Smith never changed his entirely neutral-borderline-annoyed expression.

Sheepishly, the other untied the bag and then shook it again upside down-

CLUNK.

The better question was to ask what didn't fall out of the bag. A giant pile of odd weapons, covered in glowing blue runes - for show perhaps? - fell out from the bag, a bag which seemed way too small to carry them. Daggers, similar to the ones some of the others had found. Firecrackers, out of all things. A bazooka. What looked like a tazer. Several hand guns. The list went on and on.

The door opened again as more tentacles, ones with eyes and ears and melting mouths all dissolving reached inwards but this time things didn't look so bad.

Her face turned bright red. "Oh please. I would have left the marks somewhere else if I was doing that." she quipped back, turning back to face her little attacker only to find it gone. Her brows furrowed together.

"This place is weird. I suggest we get shoes and go look around outside of the house." Which was actually an awful idea, but she didn't know that. In fact, she didn't know any-

'-----.' She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, leaning her head against his affectionately. Seafood. He seemed so excited - doubly so now that she was there. 'Is there room for one more?'

'-------'

The moment hit her all of a sudden and she recoiled visibly in shock, looking to Marcus, then around the room, as if looking for something.

She was missing something. Out of some strange impulse, she put her hands back on her hips, as if to check for something. Nothing.

Why did she do that?

Roland was a cowered.

Once the fighting started he had backed up onto a table dropping his glowing dagger into a mass of fluffy strange looking zombies. Zombies where corpses right? People. Sometimes dogs. These weren't people or dogs. They where strange multi colored monsters prancing about biting, hissing, sometimes not even doing anything dangerous but they where alien and strange and Roland wanted nothing to do with them.

Perched up on a table he watched as the other people lashed out again and again crushing the poor strange things under foot. Some fought back, others looked almost confused and sad as they where turned into piles of multi colored mush. It got worse as he watched some just start to limp and melt into goo.

Still something else was coming, something that was bashing through the doors and spilling into the halls. It was a mass of chaos, of evil, of beady red eyes that pierced the very soul.

He scrambled forward towards the weapons pushing past a few other strangers, desperate to lay claim on something, anything to stop the beast approaching them. As luck would have it he grabbed a dagger, his fingers curling around the handle as the world seemed to flicker.

It was cold.

It was dark and wet.

There where others near by all of them flailing in the ocean like himself. he wasn't quiet afraid, but something was wrong. Someone else was afraid, he could feel their panic like they where a part of him, someone screaming out for him to keep swimming to not drown. But no one was near him, how could they scream like that underwater? His fingers wrapped around the dagger tighter, something about the memory was off.

He felt small again, smaller then before, the fear of earlier, of the little monsters seemed like a small problem compared to the gaping hole he suddenly felt inside himself.

He looked towards the mass of chaos approaching, "W-whats wrong with me?"

Hoodie cowered as the tiny shadow beast came closer and closer to killing him off. Bu like all the other creatures, it too began to melt and fade away. Hoodie wasn't sure if this was any more comforting. Just what were these things? Was he having a nightmare?

A sudden clank of something dropping, and a flash of light. Something small and brief flashed before his eyes. Sudden black. Someone holding him, someone yelling for him. The words were garbled like a ruined old film, and flashes of faces he thought he'd seen here also came to pass. A red head with an eye patch, and a boy his age and height who seemed to be worrying about him.

Just what was that?!

Looking around, he wondered if he'd seen those faces here before. What were those hideous things he'd seen? Was stuff like this... normal for him? Something was missing, something more than just a memory. A piece of himself wasn't there. He was really only half a person without it.

His thoughts were ripped from his ponderings as a clattering of small weapons hit the floor. Strange, glowing weapons. The hooded youth scrambled to his feet to grab one, readying himself for this final onslaught of creatures.

"Another pair of eyes to help look for a solution would probably be good," John said. "Maybe we should get a group together." He started down the hall, heading for the larger grouping of people.

The black mass that had grabbed the girl dissolved, dropping something, and -

- laughing with affectionate amusement as the blond got his revenge on the redhead by means of tie adjustment -

- John blinked as a fragment of memory ambushed him out of nowhere. It cleared absolutely nothing up. In fact, it confused him further. Clearly things were more complicated than he'd guessed.

However, there were much bigger problems to worry about right now, like the shadowy, gooey tentacles that had managed to break into the building, and John shook his head. "Change of plans," he said to Killer. "I don't think we're going to be able to run through that. Grab a weapon!"

His own words made the sensation of something missing ambush him again, even more powerfully than before. He grimaced and moved to scoop something up from the impossibly large pile of stuff that had fallen out of the bag. A box of what looked like bandages - "Hey," he called out. "Is anyone badly hurt?"

She returned in time to see Smiley Asian...toss the cube at one of those things. Huh! Maybe it was a decent weapon after all. Misty flinched just a bit as he kicked it to death, her stomach tossing at the gruesome mix of body parts and liquid on the ground. "This is just getting weird--"

And weirder still, for when the mass of things trying to swallow the chick from before oozed away, it left behind something shiny. She peered at the crystal warily, entranced by the soft glow it gave off despite her instincts telling her to focus...

The memory hit her like a stick hit the triangle: it reverberated throughout her whole body almost.

The ship was rocking dangerously, encroaching ghosts asking if they needed more, a chaos of battle in weapons and tentacles and spines and crawling things she couldn't put a name to, people running forward to strike at this thing's heart--and yet in spite of the tumultuous action, what was most in focus was a boy with blond hair, nameless and yet important, something white and good and large in his hands, telling her that she was the reason he could focus, and she didn't understand the meaning of it--

And then she gasped for breath like she had been drowning. Misty clutched at her hands, searching for something--the bracelet. Still there. Why did that matter?

She realized the boy in that odd memory was the very one in their group and suddenly was turning pink. Dear God, she must be crazy...Maybe they'd done more experimental things on them here than she thought. Or maybe...

But she could not shake the hollow feeling she now felt inside along with those mixed emotions. Something was missing. More than just her memory, more than just...something.

Luckily she was distracted by a large bag of weapons being tossed out for their use. "Finally!" Misty exclaimed, scrambling for the nearest one without being picky. It looked like a standard issue handgun...But unlike the dagger, it felt not only foreign in her hands but wrong.

She wasn't going to trade it off, though. Much better to not get too close to these things.

A little shaky in grip, Misty aimed her weapon as best she could at the writhing mass of ink and red eyes. It was too large to miss, right?

Rather than a bang, though, what she got was a zzzzt! It wasn't a bullet coming out but--

"OH MY GOD THIS THING HAS A LASER HOLY s**t HOLY SHIIIIIIT."

It didn't quite make up for the empty feeling and memory loss, but it sure did make her feel giddy as a kid on Christmas.

Grenades? Hoodie hooked the long line of glowing orbs of power around his waist, scurrying backward and finally getting sturdy on his feet. No matter how horrible this beast was, what manner of living creature could withstand a grenade?

Worried more for those around him than himself, Hoodie launched the first grenade, hurling it forward. The powerful blast hurt him as much as it did the enemy. But that power he felt, the power to fight back filled him with a rush of adrenaline. It was ecstasy! He grinned widely, drunk on this amazing emotion.

There was gross black sludge splattered from Evan's chest all the way into his hair, a direct result of pounding what had once been a tiny foxfire into jelly. He tried to wipe away a glob of it that was dripping down his cheek and only managed to smear it further. Well, whatever, that little monster wouldn't be getting up to bite him again anytime soon and that was all that really mattered.

These things were getting uglier, though, and more vicious. The others didn't seem to be having trouble with the biggest one that had appeared so far, but it wouldn't hurt to--Evan stopped, suddenly, as he remembered:

An elegantly appointed room. A table full of people, and only one stood out at all. Dark skin brushing against his own every now and then, as much a tease as a reminder. An eye-searingly orange almost-dress that could probably be seen from outer space. No face, no name, but more important despite the lack of those defining features, not less.

Evan frowned and looked around the room as though searching for whoever he had been with in that small fragment of memory. There was no one, though, and even if there had been, this was neither the time nor place. There were too many other questions to be answered, and yet more monsters to face.

The noisy clatter of something hitting the floor distracted Evan out of his idle thoughts and brought him back to reality. The glint of metal attracted his attention, and his eyes lit up at the pile of weapons on the floor like it was Christmas and he had just gotten everything he'd ever asked for. Knives and guns and grenades, oh my.

Although instinct prodded him to reach for the guns and a desire for destruction urged him to pick up the grenades, he had woken up in a strange place not knowing who or where he was and had gotten chewed half to death by a deceptively adorable puppy monster. Guns and grenades would be too quick by far to pay for the inconvenience. He smiled with malicious glee as he reached for a pair of sharp daggers, feeling a little like they were a poor substitute something, but inexplicably happy to be armed with actual weapons.

Evan used the daggers to stab the shadowy mass in the...well, being as it was kind of a blobby mass, it didn't look like it had any vital organs to hit, so Evan just went for one of the many pairs of eyes.

Killer bobbed his head obediently at Uni before following close after his heels. It was then a quick flash of something and then it was gone just as quickly as it came. Was he looking for someone? Or someones? He shook his head. Naw. But he couldn't help the lingering feeling as it was carried with him...

"On it man!" Killer called back as he dove at the weapons... he emerged victorious and held up the pair of daggers with an approving nod. Not bad.

His attention shifted back on the creature before them with a cool smirk. Finally a decent weapon. ... Why did that almost ache to say?
