Ariel giggled at her friends, amused by both of them. "Are you sure you two aren't?.... well," she said with amusement, laughter in her voice. Alexis cleared his throat, unaware that he was blushing just as much as Aoi was. His head whipped around at Ariel's words before he almost went under from forgetting to tread water, not noticing as Ariel's hand darted out, catching the bag as he recovered. "Man, I thought I put my foot in my mouth, but man... seems like several parties are curious about that..." he sighed as he glanced at Aoi, fairly sure she'd remember the dolphins that seemed fascinated with getting them together romantically.

Aoi looked over at Ariel as she spoke and sighed. Her eyes drifted to Alexis and saw that his face was bright red and she giggled some, though it was mostly due to nervousness. "I guess that people and other creatures can see some sort of chemistry between us? I mean there were the dolphins, and then even little Raigin was trying to push us together... Which was a bit embarrassing, since he's just a baby and he can sense something..." she said, her face turning ever redder. She didn't know why there were so many that were thinking that Aoi and Alexis were a couple or something of that nature. They had just met, so there wasn't anything between them, but why were there so many thinking that there was? This just puzzled Aoi beyond anything she'd ever known, but she did kind of like Alexis; however, she wasn't quite sure how much right yet.{{ooc:}}

Ariel giggled at both of them again; she got the sense they were attracted to one another, but either they didn't realize it or didn't want to admit it. She concentrated and didn't realize that she closed her eyes before the sapphire lit up with a soft blue glow before a faint flickering glow shone beneath the water. She felt an odd itching, but didn't see the toes break the surface of the water before she leaned a bit too far back, not realizing that she did so and accidentally flashed a lot more skin than she meant to while falling backwards into the water, including both lightly tanned legs that flailed as she caught the edge of the spire, leaving her shoulders, head, and forearms above the water's surface Alexis saw the aura fade away before he blinked upon seeing the toes break the surface, amused. He reached in the bag and quickly got out a pair of shorts that were a bit too small for him, hence the reason he hadn't worn them in some time; unfortunately by the time he looked back at Ariel, he saw a lot more than he bargained for.

Aoi noticed that Ariel had closed her eyes, though she wasn't sure what for. Although, she soon came to think that Ariel may be thinking of legs. She hoped that'd work, since it worked like that with the chokers, but all that they could do was wait and see what'd happen. And sure enough, Aoi noticed the toes coming above the water's surface and she was just able to turn her head in time, so as to not see something that she didn't want to. "I'm guessing that her bracelet really is like our chokers then?" she asked, knowing that she was obviously right about that. "Now perhaps, she can get something on and she can maybe go onto the beach with us? Though I doubt she'll be much better with legs than I am right now." she added. "Oh my goodness... What'll happen if your father finds out about your legs, Ariel?" she asked, blurting the question, though the way that she had said it could have been misunderstood and taken as her possibly going to tell Ariel's father; just to get her into trouble. Although she'd never do that, since she did not want to risk the chance that Ariel's father may hold her until someone could come and take her home.{{ooc:}}

Ariel blinked before looking very determined. "He won't find out," she said with a small smile, quickly grabbing the shorts and slipping them on beneath the water, liking how well they fit. Alexis shrugged. "I guess so, which is a good thing," he said with a sigh, showing no sign he'd seen something he hadn't expected as he pulled himself up onto the spire and sat on top of it with his knees sticking out of the water.

Aoi hoped that Ariel was right about her father not finding out and just turned her head to face the band that was playing. "You know... I almost miss being able to go home and see the people that I used to know... but if I go back, well I don't like to think of what my punishment would be... you're really luck that you can go home Ariel... I doubt that you'd get into a whole ton of trouble with your father, not like I would with mine... Father is not exactly the nicest merman that you could meet and is a bit controlling... I doubt that he's let mother out of his sight for even a moment since I left home, just like he never let her do anything or go anywhere without him there before I left... If my father were to ever find out that I had legs, even for just a day... I shudder to even think what he may do or have done... I swear that he acts as if he's half shark or something... With his temper and all..." she said, not thinking about just rambling on and venting out her problems and concerns to the two people that were there with her. She never had many people to talk to like this and felt like she had to get it off her chest or she'd explode from bottling all her thoughts and feelings up inside her.{{ooc:}}

Ariel swam around the spire before listening to Aoi, sighing. "Maybe it's the fact that I have siblings... and a lot of them; if I thought it were a good idea, I'd get Daddy to adopt you from that muddy clam of a father of yours; the guy has a sense of humor that an eel wouldn't like," she said with a smile. She knew what she was saying was quite insulting, but didn't care. Alexis glanced over his shoulder as he saw the sun almost touching the water before his gaze shifted to Aoi. A slight shiver shot up, then down his spine; he wasn't going to tell her how beautiful she looked in the sunset's light.

Aoi looked over to Ariel with a raised eyebrow. "That'd be really nice, though I don't know if your father really would or if my father would allow it; however, the thought is kind of nice, even if you're only joking. I mean I would have a home and one where I'm not completely locked up all the time and wouldn't be severely punished; as in being fed to sharks, if I did something out of line." she said, giggling a bit at Ariel's comment. "You know, my Father should be locked up in a big old clam. That'd teach him to lock me and Mother up all the time and never let us have any freedom." she said in a joking tone, though she was thinking that it may be a good idea. She soon looked over to the setting sun and thought that the sky was gorgeous with its range of colors from amber to, to pink, to deep bluish purple. She caught Alexis looking her way and she blushed some, thinking that Alexis looked really handsome in the sunset light.{{ooc:}}

Ariel shrugged, looking toward the beach which seemed to glitter violet like amethyst crystals in the setting sun. A soft gasp was the only sign she'd noticed something that very much interested her. Alexis blinked as the band started playing a new song that he actually recognized.

Aoi turned shyly away from Alexis as she heard a new song being played by the band and she turned her attention to the music. It was very different to her, but she still listened to it, but she heard a gasp coming from Ariel's direction and she looked over asking, "What happened? Is there something wrong?" She noticed that Ariel had been looking over toward the beach and she thought that she'd take a look at just what Ariel was looking at. She thought that she saw just why Ariel had gasped, though she didn't say anything and waited patiently for a response from the redhead.{{ooc:}}

Ariel tilted her head. "I've never seen a beach at sunset before... usually I had to get home before Daddy..." she said with a soft sigh before she blinked, cocking her head. "Maybe I can get Daddy to agree to let you two to come without arousing certain suspicions," she said with a smile before she dove beneath the water and didn't resurface as she realized she had to get home herself; fortunately she lived roughly twenty miles north of where they were. Alexis had his eyes half closed and unconsciously, though he didn't realize it, his own fingers were twitching subtly as if he were playing a guitar.

Aoi tilted her head some before looking back at the beautiful sunset. "I have seen sunsets ebfore, since I have had the time to, due to running away. Although it's a lot different when you can watch the sunset with friends. And I'm guessing that you'll... huh... She left. Maybe she has to get home. We should probably get going back soon too. I wouldn't want to run into any trouble after it gets dark." she said, turning towards and inching a bit closer to Alexis.{{ooc:}}

Alexis smiled faintly. "Okay; I assume that her father doesn't really like her slipping away for long periods of time," he said with a slight sigh. A faint smile flickered over his face before he stood up on the spire before he tried something he'd been thinking about. "I've seen magicians create the illusion of walking on water... but I think I may actually be able to with the right amount of concentration," he muttered as he shifted his weight, carefully pressing the sole of one bare foot to the sea's surface. Unfortunately for him, his concentration was off so he basically somersaulted into the water instead. He sighed as he surfaced, having already summoned his tail. "Shall we, Aoi, dear?" he said, half joking, half teasing the mermaid.

Aoi tilted her head and said, "I guess so. My father would have been furious if I would have been away for long periods, had I not run away. I guess taht some fathers are like that, but I wish they'd let their children have some freedom to do what they want from time to time." She watched Alexis standing up and she tilted her head as she heard him saying something about walking on water. She didn't think that it was possible, but she thought that it'd be interesting to see it done. "That sounds really interesting. You think that... Oh my goodness!" she said, yelping the last few words. However, she soon giggled when she saw that Alexis was all right and had resurfaced. Sliding into the water, Aoi turned her legs to her tail and she nodded at Alexis' words, waiting for him to lead her back to his cavern.{{ooc: This is may be my only post for the day, since I have to be at work early today. Alexis chuckled as he dove beneath the water, glancing back at the beach where the band was still playing. He started swimming back towards the cavern before he had an idea that made him grin.
