While the others, along with the children, were making progress, Atticus would be off on his own, scurrying through the streets in search of some clue that would help him escape this illusion. As he walked down the streets, his mood eerily calm and collected, he constantly looked around at everything that moved, becoming more attentive.
Matt looked over at Dara as she spoke, a big smile on his face. He was about to reply when once again everything seemed to freeze in place. Scarlet was frozen in mid-step as she walked away from them. Miles and Magnus were frozen in place as the looked gratefully at Shira and Matt was frozen in place as he smiled at Dara. It was as if time had frozen still yet again.

Dara frowned, mad she didn't get talk more with the kids. She pulled her hand back and sighed. "It would seem so, but since we have already seen Eric in the arenas and when he was little, I would believe that we have only a small amount of things left to see. It's just worrying that the longer we take the higher the chance of something happening."

Just as before, everything seemed to catch fire again, burning down around them. The air was hot and for a moment it was hard to breathe, but that faded as their new surroundings enveloped them. They were back in the decayed cathedral. Except this time they were at the beginning of a long, wide hallway. The ceiling was low lending it an air of claustrophobia. Behind them was nothing but a solid wall. The hallway led off into the darkness with no visible end.
Meanwhile, in the room where Emma, Mirai and Texas were, the pool of red liquid Harold had entered into began seething. Small waves began to lap the edges of the pool as the water became more and more agitated. Suddenly the red liquid exploded straight upwards, crashing back into the pool as droplets showered everyone in the room. Harold was still no where to be seen but Eric was lying at the edge of the pool, semi-conscious. He let out a deep, ragged breath as he brought his hands to his eyes, trying to wipe away the red liquid that was making his vision blurry. His other hand clenched into a fist as he let out another breath. He didn't seem to be aware of where he was.
Dara's first thought when they got back to the cathedral was to try to talk to Emma to check on Eric. "Emma! Finally we're back. How is he? Is he safe? Are they still splitting?"
"If you can't be number one by yourself, then surround yourself with strong friends, and be number one together."
☽ Emma watched as the red liquid seemed to stir again and Eric ended up at the edge of t. She quickly stumbled over and grabbed him, quickly dragging him away from it "Eric, get a hold of yourself." She muttered to him before laying him down near the other two but not too close. She knelt next to him then before hearing Dara "They have been split... I have Eric now and he just seems weak... Harold hasn't emerged yet so please hurry." she told Dara. ☾

As Atticus continued searching the city, he would stop for a brief second as just like before, the world and its inhabitants had frozen in place. Sighing, Atticus closed his eyes as he knew what was going to happen next. Just like earlier the scene around him erupted into flames and intense heat, resulting in the world vanishing yet again. This time he and the others were in another room. Not saying a word to the others, Atticus opened his eyes and headed towards the darkness.
