Things were going fairly smoothly so far, from what Tseng could tell. Both he and his brethren were gathering up many of the the cattle! Placing his hands on his hips, he took in a quick breath. It smelled like victory.

And then he got salt to the face. Turning, he saw some humans throwing salt at him and shouting something about demons. They didn't really seemed scared, but at the same time they weren't really doing anything to him.

What?

In any case, Tseng decided to ignore the salt throwers and went to try and scare some other humans. Try was the keyword here as when he went to do this, he quickly realized that he wasn't even really getting any notice. The humans were far too fixated on Lifen.

How rude.

Oh! There was a group he could frighten.

"PREPARE TO MEET YOUR DOOM, CATTLE!" he shouted while charging at the humans. The group scattered, terrified of what was running right at them. A few of them were headed straight for the portal as well.

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!"

Manyara's delighted howl cut through the air, and a moment later she sprang, discarding the horrible, hideous fur coat and snatching at any human near enough for her to grab. Her claws shredded clothing and left furrows in flesh, and the screaming that erupted only fed her manic energy.

A small group of humans made a break for it - two breeders and three spawn. Manyara snarled, shoving another human out of her path and lunging towards them. There was another Horseman up ahead. "TURN THEM!" she bellowed, scooping up a fallen plush toy from the ground and launching it at said Horseman to get his attention.

Did.. did someone just hit him with a toy? Bastion was dejected, having failed horribly to scare much of anything, when the squeaky thing slapped him in the face. He turned, ready to carve into the tiny human children who dared disgrace him in this manner, but instead he came to grips with the reality - another horsemen asking him for assistance. The humans were coming right for him - hardly even pausing to stop. Was he really such a failure..?

Bastion puffed his chest out, and used the girth of the giant, monstrous Dark Daisy Duck costume, reaching out as he charged for them. The humans skidded in their tracks, turning right for the portal instead of running for him.

"FINALLY!" He cried out, throwing his arms up in the air. "At least someone's scared of me!"

Manyara hissed her pleasure, lunging at the humans herself, shoving the largest one; he tumbled forward, taking his mate with him; a child squalled and tried to run, but she scooped it up and tossed it in after the rest of its hapless pack. She did not say thank you, but instead just flashed the Death Horseman a bright, feral grin as she loped past him once more, seeking new targets...

Yet a group seemed more terrified of the frankly pathetic Death Horseman than of her. And, in fact, darted into a building before she could herd them out. Damn.

Bastion might have been a little scared of that grin, too. That portal was looking mighty tempting..

Another clot of humans got as far as the Death Horseman who'd helped her and... reversed course and ran into another building. AGAIN. Manyara snarled, twisting about to try and find somebody who wasn't in a ******** box made of bricks.

Something hit her in the face. Reflexively, her tongue slid out and she licked at the residue, tasting... salt?

What.

She leapt at the screaming humans, screaming right back at them. They just kind of... screamed for a while. Until Manyara lost interest.

A small group scattered, some of them heading close enough to the portal that Manyara was distracted from her screaming match. She tore away, scattering salt as she turned, one heel of her costume shoe snapping at last under her feet. She kicked it off, then the other one, and kept running, herding the humans back with snaps of her jaws, swipes of her hands.

She didn't even have to touch them, though she definitely wanted to.

Perhaps, it was only through the vortex of green stretching towards the sky, through the pillar of demented screams and Humans, hundreds of Humans being dragged, torn, pulled in, that perhaps some of the Horsemen, or perhaps even some of the Initiates would finally take a moment to pause and wonder-

- If Medea was actually doing the right thing.

It was too late for sentiments however. The promise of revenge was strong and so was her ability to tug all the right emotions, to manipulate, continue to take and fester in the cores of so many the feeling of desire and temptation. Perhaps, if one caught a glimpse of the Head Priestess, though her figure was long lost in the thick flames of green lashing out in a column, like hellfire, like fire from legendary myths of Tartaros and even then, thicker, stronger, more unstable Fear that emitted a beacon of who, what they were, of the chaos they had created-

- Perhaps, they were already too deep in the web they had created-

- And then everything stopped.

Stopped was not quite the right word. Perhaps paused, or perhaps even hesitated. There was still for a few moments longer the strange green pillar and accommodating markings on the ground, there were still the screams of confused Humans, the horsemen viciously pushing, surging forwards, before inevitably, strangely, being pushed back.

Someone else was blocking their way.

Cloaked figures at first, in dark, muted hues, moving too fast, too unnatural, to be actual Humans, and even the vague thought of their lifelong battle with Hunters was put to a halt by the appearance of these new arrivals. Cloaked figures, some indeed bracing weapons while others carried only their claws and fangs, all wearing a single badge, an emblem of their status.

Bogeymen.

At first it didn't seem like there were enough of them, not compared to the Horsemen, or even the students, the Initiates caught in the caught. At first it seemed even like these Bogeymen were nothing like their reputation, simply nothings, easily overwhelmed by the power of the Horsemen-

- And then the tide began to change, slowly, yet surely. One horsemen was disabled. A second, a third, netted under traps. A fourth and fifth forcefully dissipated and then the numbers started growing one by one, as each demented creature, each nightmare each Horsemen and Initiate, the one who had created meaningless chaos was pulled away and finally contained. The Lost Clans were not heroes and so, their only choice was to finally be defeated.

At last the green pillar flickered, waned, and that too disappeared.

Silence.

"ALL THOSE AFFILIATED WITH THE LOST CLANS." The voice was strong, from a cloaked Bogeymen, unknown, non-descriptive. It could have been anyone. Perhaps it even occurred to the students that one of their very familiar teachers was also indeed a Bogeymen. "YOU ARE BEING DETAINED. BY THE ORDER OF THE HALLOWEEN TOWN LAW YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT. ANYTHING YOU SAY OR DO MAY BE USED AGAINST YOU IN THE COURT OF BOGEYMEN LAW. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONSULT YOUR ELDER BEFORE SPEAKING, AS THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE."

Click.

Clack.

And the last thing the remaining Lost Clans, the remaining students would see is something, a figure, a few cloaked figures reaching towards them -

- Before they dissipated.

*

They later in a familiar place. The Sanctuary of the Lost Clans. Familiar half-monuments, abodes created, yet silent, other than several voices discussing, debating heatedly outside. Yes outside, for the entire Sanctuary now had a closed off barrier, an artificial one erected around the entire perimeter. Detainment.

A cloaked figure emerged, one of the Bogeymen again, notorious in their anonymity when enforcing their various branches of the law. A second shorter one who really didn't seem to fit the bogeyman robes waddled next to them.

"By the order of the laws of Fear and Halloween Town, you should be exiled and punished accordingly-"

- The shorter one did a strange sort of waddling shuffling dance and tapped the taller one-

- Who glared at them, cleared their throat and continued. "But due to extenuating circumstances, it would be prudent of us to not take your considerations into... consideration." He spoke with a sort of voice that suggested he really would have preferred a more hands-on sort of law enforcement. "You are all hereby detained in your granted Sanctuary lands under very, very close observation until we see fit to release you. You will pay for your misconduct with community service." There the taller figure looked at the shorter one for a long second. "It would do you well to learn the ways of Halloween Town, since I have been told that your barbaric ways are just acts of misunderstanding. Fair enough. You will serve time in our education facility until you understand our ways, and seeing that Amityville has open space-"

- The shorter figure made gestures that suggested "No" and "Way"-

-"A re-education seems to be what you need. All those of the Lost Clans are sentenced to containment within the Sanctuary, save for time spent on Amityville Academy campus grounds, where they will be closely observed by our operatives. If Amityville does not have the means to re-educate you, then perhaps the school should be re-assessed for what it can do..." They left the threat pretty clear as the shorter one looked like they were about to pass out. "That is all. Being part of Halloween Town means to abide by our laws, and the Laws and Regulations of Fear Enforcement act 31 paragraph 3 to act 56 paragraph 6. In short don't just do what you Jacking want with Jacking Humans!"

With a snarl, they snapped their cape up close to them and moved away, exiting via barrier. At each point of the barrier surrounding the Sanctuary were more Bogeymen. It looks like it was going to be a long, long few moons -

- And where was Medea?

For the students, the ones who embarked on a quest, they would find themselves whisked away for some extra time in the Princess Corner. Some say those few students were never the same again, though the terror was so great, even they did not remember what exactly happened other than the sparkle of bright pink and the cackle of something so innately evil, it made Medea look like a toy decoration in comparison.

OOC

HORSEMEN, YOU ARE GROUNDED

WHOOPS. That shows you, flashing your fancy weapons and artifacts all over the place. It looks like HALLOWEEN TOWN has finally caught on, and so have the Bogeymen!
- For the next few weeks - months your HORSEMEN IS REQUIRED to take CLASSES at Amityville. Open classes, field trips, school classes held by teachers, whatever it takes to get them to learn what Halloween Town is (supposedly) supposed to be like!
- In that meanwhile, while your Horsemen can sneak to the Haunted House, they are not allowed to enter their Sanctuary due to the obvious heavy surveillance. Enjoy your time as an overgrown student...
- All activities such as visiting the Maul, etc etc any time away from their usual places INCLUDING artifact quests are okay as long as they are escorted by AT LEAST ONE student (Initiate or non doesn't matter, it seems some of the Bogeyman have forgotten or those students were pardoned easier for being students). This is only effective from this post onwards.
