Once Shira had unleashed most of their energy in a shock wave, Atticus would appear out of his sword, and transform back into human form and start falling as well. Looking down, Atticus stretched out his hand and took Shira into his arms, suddenly with the last bit of his energy, Atticus would perform a partial transformation, causing demonic bat-like wings to protrude from his back, allowing him to fly. Flapping his gigantic wings, Atticus with Shira in his arms, would fly back into the air and hover there looking for a safe place to land. Looking down at Shira who was barely conscious, Atticus smiled, "Well, all we can do is leave the rest of the mission to the others." he told her as he searched for the Captain.

As the shockwave washed over the ships, multiple explosions criss-crossed them. Almost all the fighters were annihilated, blown apart by the massive amount of soul resonance. Many of the smaller ships capsized or tore apart completely before falling to the ocean below. The larger ships fared better, though huge pieces were blown off many of them and many of their guns were twisted, rendering them inoperable. The battleships began to turn slowly as their Captains fought to regain control. They were pulling back from Shira and Atticus, hoping to avoid any other surprises they might have. The only ship that seemed unaffected by the blast was the Siegebreaker, which remained stubbornly stable. The massive flagship continued steadily on-course as if it hadn't even noticed the shockwave.

As Shira and Atticus searched for the Shadow Skirter, they would notice a trail of crimson flames coming from somewhere on the deck of the Siegebreaker. They were the same color as the flames that came from the cannons of the Shadow Skirter during the battle with the sky shark.

Once he got into view, Atticus wasn't surprised by what he had saw, the Shadow Striker crashed into the Siegebreaker, and on fire. "As I expected." he said as he flew over and landed on the Shadow Striker's deck. As soon as he did, Atticus' wings would vanish and he would be at his limit as well. "Captain, me and Shira, have taken out at least a majority of the fleet, so we are pretty much finished." Atticus reported as he then looked around, "How's you end coming along?" he asked sarcastically.

Captain Rachel's and Cathy's eyes widened as they saw Atticus land with Shira on the deck. "That was YOU!?" The Captain yelled angrily. She stomped over to Atticus, an expression of rage on her face. "What the HELL were you THINKING!?" She yelled in his face. "You knocked us straight out of the air onto the enemy FLAGSHIP!!" Aside from the crimson flames, there also seemed to be dark energy leaking from the ship as well. It was colorless, but the air could be seen shimmering where it was leaking out and one could feel the madness radiating in the air from it.

Cathy and some of the rats shoved a broken cannon off the deck, letting it clang onto the Siegebreaker's deck. "Even if they didn't notice the crash because of the shockwave, they're going to notice the madness wavelengths sooner or later. We're a giant beacon here," Cathy said worriedly as she put her hands on her hips, her eyes darting all over the ship as she assessed what it would take to get the Shadow Skirter back in the air. "This is gonna take time..." she said.

Captain Rachel looked like she was going to punch Atticus in the face for a moment before she turned away in disgust. "Just try not to blow us up while you're here," she growled. She stopped in mid-stride, standing there for a second. "Or, how about making yourself useful?" She said with a smirk.

"I've been flying longer than you've been talking kid. I was still in the air until your wonder-blast rammed us into this eyesore." She gestured towards the Siegebreaker. She looked over at Shira. "Be careful princess; the Shadow Skirter won't be as kind to you as she was to Atticus. She swallows you up and you'll make her sick." She looked back to Atticus. "If you can get to the bridge and take out the Admiral, you can buy us the time we need to fix up the Shadow Skirter. It will certainly keep them off our backs while we work." She was about to turn around when she stopped and grabbed Atticus by the arm. "Be careful. This "Admiral Alex"...I've never heard of him before. He must be some kind of new Admiral. And the Steelforge Empire has been really tight-lipped about him; even my sources haven't found out much." She let go of him and turned away, barking orders to the rats as they scurried around the deck. Cathy gave Shira and Atticus a nod and a thumbs up. "Make 'em regret messing with the Shadow Skirter," she told them.
