As the flames came towards Scratch he bent backwards at a bizarre angle that could only be achieved if one had no bones. The attack flew over him before he bent back upright. He looked over to see Atticus coming into the room from the hole he had blown in the wall. He looked him up and down for a moment, reading his soul. He grinned; much of Atticus's history confirmed what he already knew about the others. And it cleared up many things about Sanctum. It was also interesting to know that Divine was still alive but human and with the witch Charlotte. He looked back at Emma. "Oh, how many things you don't know," he told her with a grin. Reading Dara's, Eric's and now Atticus's past had given him more or less a full view of the missions they'd been on together, including the mission to the future and to the past. The only blank spots were things that Shira had gone through on her own, since he couldn't read her memory due to the fact that she currently didn't have one. He now knew a great deal more about his enemies and was thus very pleased.

Scratch allowed Atticus to run past him, instead focusing on Emma and Jack. "Oh kitty, if only you had lived past this day, you would truly find what you were looking for in Death City. It is so much closer than you think." He considered offering to tell her in exchange for her turning against Jack, but he knew her well enough now to know that wouldn't work. He held up a taloned hand, causing a vague, small image to appear out of it:



"Do you know who this is? She has your eyes..." Scratch told her, still grinning. "Oh, but those ears aren't hers. I wonder who's they could be?" The image faded. He held up both his hands towards her and suddenly his talons extended at blinding speed. Five long, dark spears came towards Emma, each from different directions. They were easily sharp enough to run her all the way through.

Scratch continued grinning as Emma came towards him, not moving from his spot. As her attack landed there was a spray of black liquid and the hiss of her fire burning. Scratch's face collapsed inwards, pulling Emma's hand into the black morass. The liquid closed around it, trapping her in place. "Toy with you?" Scratch's disembodied voice asked as he held her there. "I am merely showing you the product of your....love." He said the last word scornfully, as if mocking her. He raised his taloned hands around her, pointing his talons inwards. Both his index talons extended quickly towards her shoulders, aiming to impale her through both and then send her backwards, pinning her to the wall.

Eric flipped backwards, managing to dodge most of the hair. One strand curled around his arm and he quickly slashed it off. "Wha..?" he asked as she gave her proposition. Then it dawned on him what she was saying. Harold's comments in the future quickly came back to him. This...couldn't be it....could it? He glared at her. "Shut up," he growled, getting into a fighting stance. Harold was awake and obviously heard, but didn't say anything. Eric didn't know if that was a good or bad thing. Harold still didn't know about the future. He lunged towards her, swinging Dara in a full 180 degree arc as he attempted a wide slash.

"Grigiri soul." he said befoer levitating. He took off twards scratch. he pointed his sword twards scratch. "You forgot there was two of us." he said.
